I had an incredible experience working with Rumel at The Tailorman! He helped me design and create my dream Tux, and his talent and attention to detail were remarkable. Even when I broke my leg during the process, Rumel was incredibly patient and accommodating, making sure that every aspect of the suit was tailored to perfection despite the added challenges. No request was too big for him, and he went above and beyond to ensure my tux fit perfectly for the big day. If you’re looking for a dedicated and talented tailor, Rumel is your guy!

Very quick turnaround for a great quality product. Rumel is very good at helping you decide on the right colors and materials for your suit, and he offers a fair price to match your budget. I needed a suit done within just a few days - I came on a Sunday, Rumel said he would have it done on Tuesday. He stuck to his word and gave me a call on Tuesday afternoon to let me know it was complete. Reliable service, I would recommend him and his team!

I gave having a suit made a lot of thought and after seeing the stunning creations Rumel made for some friends, I had to go. And what an incredibly beautiful, handmade, just-for-me suit I got at a great price. The little touches that are added such as the gorgeous lining and an extra little button if you want your jacket open but not too open - genius. I met Rumel in 2022 while looking around Cape Town for a custom, one of a kind suit. I ended up going with him and hand selecting the materials at a separate shop as I wanted a fully custom job with a very specific finish. My wedding suit was unreal ! Made so well and exactly as I asked. So good I had another 2 made For my groomsman of the same material plus matching shorts incase it was to warm. I have since had 3 shirts made, 2 Altered and a special set of custom sorts made. Rumel does not disappoint in anyway. Sticks to his word and delivers. To anyone looking to buy go to Rumel with 100% confidence. On a side note I have it on good information that he is the one who does a lot of the alterations for larger chains and competition tailors as he gets it right first time. I will certainly be going back !

Had a bespoke suite made, for a friends wedding, suite was beautifully made from a picture. The fit was perfect, jacket needed no alterations required, one small adjustment for my pants. The alteration on the pants was based on Rumel’s honest opinion on his work and that’s what I appreciate. I’ll definitely be coming back for shirts and other alterations.

Rumel is a great tailor with over 12 years of experience in the business. His love and passion for his job are evident in conversations with him. He is an honest businessman and a great craftsman. I had a very simple job to hem some pants which was done quickly and without issue. His usual job is to handmake bespoke suits and thus this was an easy task. I'll definitely be heading back and using Rumel, the tailorman, for any further altérations or bespoke item crafting. Also, the place is open late, 7pm, which is rare for a Cape Town establishment and very helpful if you need an after work appointment. Rumel is also accommodating and places client service about his own needs and would likely be able to accommodate a special request for an after-hours appointment if needed.
