Went for the wine and chocolate pairing with my wife and kids. The wines pair really well with the chocolates. The kids got to do a grape juice tasting as well and explore the grounds. The cheese and meat platter was yummy. Nice place for a picnic with the kids. There is a deli where you can buy various wines, charcuterie and many other things.

When entering the tasting room,you do get the feeling that it's going to be an amazing experience. And believe me it was just that. Highly recommend the wine pairing with the chocolate tasting. Very rewarding experience and our hostess Maruchal was splendid. Highly recommend it.

Wish there was a playground here. Also, they wouldn't let us sit outside because it drizzled this morning. The clouds had completely cleared though and our kids played outside the whole time anyways. Beautiful location though and great wines

There were a selection of wine tasting options and pairings as well. The chocolate and wine pairing went well together and it was an overall pleasant experience. The platters are also great. The setting and decor was well selected and comfortable. Their wine list is more than adequate and you are spoiled with a lot of choices.

More than just wine tasting, the Spire Wine Tasting offers cheese, chocolate, and meats. The staff takes the time to explain what is in the glasses. Don't worry about bringing the kids, they offer activity packs with colors and even a kid friendly grape juice tasting with a red and a white in wine glasses

This is an amazing experience..I went alone and spent nearly 4 hours on this winery property. Words won't explain it. It is beautiful, must see, and don't skip the bird sanctuary.

Totally awesome venue for a picnic, suggest you visit the store and make up your own, we went with the Std which was excellent but think you could do a more affordable one on your own from the amazing produce, wine and goodies at the store. The atmosphere and grounds are beyond beautiful and imho better than Boschendal.

Lovely and beautiful place but the service is terrible. We were rudely told to move to a field and had chairs taken from us for being students, WE ARE NOT STUDENTS. Felt unwelcoming for simply looking young and got embarrassed Infront of the other guests The employee who did this was a short older white gentleman. Whomever that is needs to get his attitude checked. Oh and bring your own wineglass, otherwise they make you pay for some tiny excuse for a glass at their tasting.

From the Eagle Encounters too Mosaic Art too the Picnic's, breathtaking views of nature and serene atmosphere! A completely differnt approach to wine farms. A definite MUST too all sightseers!

Amazing service and very affordable. I stand corrected but I think they are the most affordable wine tasting spots in CPT. They don't just have wine tasting but grape juice tasting😄. All worth it!

The Wine Tasting was disappointing as staff was not interested in promoting Spier, my kids was bored as they had nothing to do. The garden scenery was brilliant with a rather unique swing/seat swing that the kids enjoyed afterwards.

Was so much fun. The chocolate and wine really complimented each other. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only "negative" comment would be on the delivery of the information on wine and chocolate, it felt very much like someone reading of a teleprompter, almost as they never tried it themselves. And being on the Spier grounds there are so many things to do before and after.

My first wine tasting experience and I absolutely loved every minute of it, staff are knowledgeable and explained the different wines, then the experience was made even better when we ordered the platter which was beyond amazing and the perfect complement to the wine. Excellent venue for a great tour. Came through with some friends and we enjoyed the tasting tremendously. The service was good and the selection of drinks was really good. The whites and reds are equally excellent The gardens were really good for a walk afterwards too

the service was not like we excepted.. the food platters were not something special .. tasted like normally pickandpay supermarket food .. the wines were amazing.. But what really bothers me .. was .. I bought tea in a very nice package .. I thought it was an orangic one .. and as I opened it .. the inside was cheap tea from checkers ..

I enjoyed the wine tasting with the cheese. The lady taking us through had vast knowledge and history of the winery. My issue was that kind of information is very exciting to me. She rushed us through so quickly leaving no room for questions at all. All questioned were answered with “I don’t know that.”

Great location and lovely people. However their wine is being bottled too young. Their excuse...it will "bottle age". I think Spier is pushed to sell as much of its wine as possible without really taking into consideration the quality. For wine lovers, I would skip this one.

Spent a week in this beautiful place, lovely views and exceptional food plus the rooms were so clean and comfortable. I would like to make a big thankyou to all the staff for makeing me feel very welcome here, the staff all get 10/10 for the professional way they do there jobs but the lovely 28 year old girl in the gift shop, the reception staff and all the girls serving breakfast plus the ladies cleaning the rooms 11/10

Wine tasting of mostly blended wines was more of an average tasting experience of average wines. Most notable one for us was Gables 21, Cabernet Sauvignon Wich sells for about $20 .

I love wine tasting with a beautiful lake in the background. I feel bad because the staff doesn't do the wine tasting. The testing location is pretty and nice. However, there were many instances where the employees were unfriendly.

A very nice place and nice memories. A winery with traditions and beautiful nature with a beautiful pond and park. Everything was very neat and clean. Staff very nice and competent. It's really worth visiting here and trying the local wines.
