The express queue are one of the better systems, which is convenient. The problem will all shops that doesn't have a first come first serve policy at all tills, creates inconvenience as some paying points take longer and you stand in wrong queue. The biltong and dry wors supply is sometimes erratic. Frying of daily fish is great, however a shortage of Hake on occasions. I love all the 50% specials. Just a pity this Checkers are not doing it so much on daily hot foods anymore. It was very popular. Good wine selection. What is it with Chicken in SA? The fresh chicken smell already after a day or 2 in fridge. The butchery can do with something like tripe and SA affal. The daily pancake service can be a slow and disappointing affair, but is a good value add. Fruit and Veggies are normally fresh. The Checkers loyalty card is one of the worse of all stores. The store provides what you expect and despite the occasional slow service at the tills, do you get a fair shopping experience. By being inside a popular mall like Cresta, I think the store can be upgraded even more and just add a bit of better service. When you approach management, they respond generally well.

Cresta is dope. Bet you didn't know, it's got a skate park and gocarts. A casino, an arcade, movies and much more. Sometimes live music. Definitely a great shopping experience.

Queues tend to be long. Not nearly enough small trolleys. Needs a revamp. On the plus side, usually has stock of everything I need.

This Checkers location is massive and offers a wide range of items. It is also conveniently located near an entrance with covered parking. However, the number of open till points is insufficient for the size of this Checkers and the volume of shoppers. The average wait time in the payment queue is frequently 10-20 minutes. Definitely not a good place if you are in a hurry. Probably best for big monthly shops.

A wonderful shopping experience. Everything placed professionally on the shelves - easily accessible and pleasant to the eye. The prices are so affordable allowing for the extra items that one would not otherwise have money for.

This Checkers is always well stocked but can be very busy especially over payday weekends. This weekend unfortunately our queue seemed to be the only one without a packer, luckily the cashier made up for it with her friendlyness and professionalism. Please checkers, one packer per till especially in busy times. Other than that great Checkrs to visit.

I have been going to Checkers at Cresta Mall for the past 20+ years. They generally have stock of everything that I want. But, I prefer to visit some of the other branches because this one often has a bad smell and is not always very clean. I know they revamped and tried to get rid of the smell but it seems not to have worked.

Nice shop to buy the range of goods, some products price tags are not the right price one I found electric cattle price tag was showing R349.99 and when I went to till to pay the cashier ask me R449.99 ,lucky I wanted to buy only that one product so I immediately picked up and complain ,however they rectify the mistake, very friendly staff

Staff is very noisy. Packers clogging the Isles throughout the day. On Monday morning at 10h30, the fresh chicken shelves were EMPTY. 99% of the time, you will not find anyone at the cold meat counter to assist

I remember when this was a double storey OK Bazaars with escalators inside. There were departments like balls of wool or flower pots or carpets or wall paper or ornaments.....wait this is about Checkers. It changes and improves regularly making it hard to find anything. The cheese department is astonishing. This branch of Checkers is by far the best one in the area.

I wanted to buy some fresh fried Hake at the fish counter. They had 4 pieces of yellow tail, angel fish and 4 more over cooked other fish...when I requested if they could please fried some fresh hake...I got so many stories...I did speak to a very friendly supervisor..who tried to talk to the fish lady....I eventually gave up and left. It was after 2 in the afternoon, the shop only closes at 7....with all the loadshedding we are going through..is it too much to want a bit of fresh fried fish?...
