Earlier this year I purchased a Nordflam Primo 9kW cast iron fireplace from Southern Fireplace & Braai. The sales assistant, June, was super friendly and knowledgable in helping me choose the right unit for my home, and efficient in scheduling the site inspection and compiling the subsequent affordable quote. The installation team, Chelton and Jack, were highly professional and skilled at their work. The team patiently accommodated my every request to result in a neat and tidy stellar job. The fireplace has been an absolute gamechanger for our home, keeping it warm and cosy despite this year's brutal winter. I would highly recommend SF&B for their quality work and business ethic.

My overall experience was not good. Initially they were very professional in advice given at the shop and my residence but after that the wheels fell off. The installation team did their best and were very professional in the way they went about their work and cleaned up afterwards. My biggest letdown was the office staff who made promises re call back and follow up to sort out issues and not advising when installation staff would be available. When I received my final bill I was charged for work not done and had to follow up to get this rectified. Subsequent to my meeting with the owner of the business the matter and my concerns were resolved. A followup was done to rectify an error which was handled swiftly and this has changed my view of the service delivery from the company

The team at Southern Fireplaces have a customer value system and attitude SO SO rare in Cape Tow. Professional expertise and solution orientated, going way beyond just selling you something. My Cowl had blown off during the storms, they immediately said lets have a look, we could have a 2nd hand replacement .. the new ones go for over R2000, the 2nd hand one R300. 100% other retailers would have pitched a completely different solution, whats more they've already offered to pop by when these storms abate to check the flu/ soot. Could not have asked for more , and further this business fully reflective of this amazing nations diversity. Love when thats genuine too! Thank you guys - I know where I'm going for any fireplace issues !!!!

I was struggling to picture the size and look of freestanding fireplaces based on the measurements I was seeing on various websites. So I popped in here on a whim - it was literally the closest specialist place near me - but I'm really glad I did. From quoting (June) to site inspection (Robert) and installation (Jake and Yasin), I was very happy with the service and professionalism. Happy to recommend them!
