I’ve been going to Tai Ping for many years, and have always enjoyed myself. Their sweet and sour pork with egg noodles is delicious. Then I discovered their honey and garlic chicken - wow! 🤤 I like to end off with a pot of jasmine tea (and maaaaaybe some dessert 😏). Colin, the owner, also greets every table and strikes up a conversation. He’s a great host and enjoyable to chat to.

Excellent customer service & tasty Chinese. The portions were generous - we particularly liked the sweat and sour chicken (crispy coating with perfectly cooked breast meat). The food wasn't oily. Waitress was forthcoming about the COVID vaccination special. And owners took the time to check in on all customers.

It was my first time going here and I was pleasantly surprised. Objectively, I've never had such good service anywhere before. Waiter was super friendly and the manager came in to check up on us once. Everywhere else should live up to this restaurants' standards. The food was good and the prices where right. I do look forward to going back and trying something new!

Tasty food and the service was good - Gloria was friendly and knowledgeable about the vast array dishes and specials. Good value for money and a bonus is that they accept Entertainer vouchers. It is a popular restaurant, both sit down and take-away, but could do with a refurbishment - it is still stuck in the 1980s.

Sweet cute little Chinese restaurant. It has the whole setup of being in China.. not that I was ever in China but it felt that way for a while except we sat on chairs and not the floor which was understandable. Very kind..polite and disc iplined staff. Meals are variety to choose from tho you have to ask the clued up waiter what the meal consists of because of it's funny names. Not pricey at all. Very affordable . Clear view of your vehicle when parked. Lovely Chinese music in the background with the Chinese emblems. It's just so original and down to earth. Very well mannered and polite owner who comes to greet each and everyone seated at the table. Their sushi chopstick was of good quality too and you can purchase some at R6 a pair to take home. They actually beautifully varnished so you can wash and reuse them again. Only issue for me which is a personal preference is that the sweet ginger pork was a wee bit too sweet... tasty. So please do pop in. No need for booking. But you can call if you REALLY don't want to miss out on a table. Not overcrowded and great for romantic eat out. Very private and serene. Try it out.

Casual cosy restaurant with good service & friendly staff. Recommend vegetable spring rolls that is freshly prepared, sizzling calamari that is succulent, fresh prawn chow mein & the succulent ribs. Still need to try the popular duck !
