Best breakfast you can have in Cape Town, we tried the Shakshuka and Chicken Liver, both of them was AMAZING!!! i will definitely have my breakfast there every morning! Thanks to Storm and Robert, there were fantastic

Loved the place and the vibe here. I would recommend the mushroom toast its soooooo yummmmmmmy! Be carful about the sweets though .. We wanted to order a fresh slice of today’s cake but the Staff didn’t know about when was the cake made today or yesterday or the day before it!!! 😀🫠 They should label them!!

This is literally my local. Great spot on Kloof Street for easy "brunchy“ meals. I went on Thursday mid morning and the place was absolutely heaving!! Never a bad thing. This didn’t affect the service though, which was friendly, quick and professional. I always get a sarmie and the smokie bean toastie did not disappoint. My friend enjoyed her smashed Avocado and Feta too. We had two coffees and I also tried the green juice which was yummy! Bill came to about R450 before tip. Will definitely be back.

This place is amazing!! Very cool interior, great choices of food, tasty meals and a lean-back atmosphere. It’s perfect to start your day, take a break or get some inspiration. The staff is helpful and super friendly. Have had a great time here and the green shakshuka is something to die for.

We visited Our Local twice so far on our trip to Cape Town and would happily return. Not only has all of the food been delicious, but the service is beyond lovely. We've had the honour of being in Bernadetta and Michael's sections. Both of them made us feel right at home while also being the best servers.

First time at Our Local and it did not disappoint. The environment is relaxed and filled with greenery that you would never know you were in the middle of the city. Our waiter, Michael, was so welcoming and friendly. We had the smashed avo and hummus on toast and chicken livers on toast and it was delicious and such big portions. We'll definitely be back.

This is the best place for breakfast in Cape Town! Everything about this place is outstanding from the beautiful ambiance to the friendly and attentive staff, and, of course, the delicious food. The prices are very reasonable given the high quality of service and cuisine. I will undoubtedly return many times and highly recommend this gem to everyone.

Nice, chilled vibe with lots of greenery everywhere. Great place to hang out with friends or spend time with a loved one. My husband and I had the avocado toast - one with feta and one with tomatoes (pictured) + added 1 poached egg each at R15 and we absolutely loved them. The avocado toasts were delicious and we would happily return the next day to have the same dish. We had an iced latte & iced chai to go with our food and were happy with the drinks. Total bill was R396 including tip. The cakes looked lovely too but we just didn’t have room for more food!

We had the such a great night at Our Local with Lucas who was so kind and thoughtful from start to finish. He made us feel welcome and perfectly taken care of. Chill Spot for Morning & Midday Meals This place is super spacious and has a really nice vibe - perfect for grabbing breakfast, brunch or lunch. The decor is awesome, and it seems to be a popular hangout spot. You can definitely come here to see and be seen! But the food is legit too. They've got some great vegan options and tons of veggie choices. So even if you're not there to check out the scene, you can still get a really good meal. The combo of the cool atmosphere and the tasty food makes this a great all-around spot. Whether you want a relaxed meal or to hang out in a lively setting, this place has you covered. Definitely check it out for breakfast, brunch or lunch - you'll have a blast.

If you want cheering up by the lovely Ashin (see 1st photo), fragrant coffee in the greenest space and a cool vibe, this is your place. Ashin welcomes you in that chilled but very persuasive way to happiness (even if you bring your gloomiest game!). The coffee is fragrant, full bodied and lush. I had the lunch stack, my friend had the Florentine scrambled. Both tasty and good portions. She also had an orange almond cake which was juicy and delish. My son enjoyed the bring home almond croissant. Looking forward to coming back to indulge in the mimosa special and stare some more at all the green plants (which are for sale).

What a beautiful and unique hidden gem in the middle of Cape Town! Just off Kloof Street, you'd never say this place is nestled just off of a busy street. Lovely atmosphere with helpful service. The food menu is quite basic but has a good variety for a quick brunch.

The coffee is some of the best I've had, coming from a coffee addict! All our dishes was tasteful and well presented. The ample volume of the building allows for an acceptable level of ambient noise to allow easy conversation or an environment in which one can perform some focused work. There were also patrons with dogs, so I assume they are doggy friendly. Certainly a place that I will frequent and feel comfortable to take visitor for a good Cape Town experience.

We stumbled into Our Local after looking for somewhere for a quick lunch. The exterior and interior are STUNNING- you really do feel like you’re entering your cool friends house. The plants and overall atmosphere/vibes are immaculate. But; more importantly, the food. I ordered the Golden Salad and it was the best “salad” (more of a bowl but, semantics) I have EVER had. I even seriously contemplated getting a second for the journey home. THAT good. We also had a toastie and two drinks, the red cappuccino and a green tea. Love this place and will return on our next trip to Cape Town!

Absolutely love the ambiance of Our Local. The Boho decor opens the door for easy relaxed conversation at the sharing of seating spaces. Unfortunately the 40min wait for your order dampens the mood bit. The well priced toasties at R85, can be topped up with crispy bacon @ R20 and an egg @ R12. Delicious coffee @ R28 or a green juice @R42. My wife and I both had toasies. It was really delicious and one easily forgive the wait, but then waiting for a glass, or a toothpic or sugar for your coffee really had me a bit hot under the collar. The servers was kind and one did inform us they were also hosting a 20-head wedding party !?... I would love to give you 5 🌟 but you have to bring your service in line with your stunning menu.

We stumbled across this place quite by accident. And what a happy accident it was! As a lover of good food, antiques and plants I was totally in my element. The staff are incredible and chatty and we felt so at home. They don’t have a liquor license but were more than happy for us to bring our own champagne. These aren’t your average antiques either - the shop is beautifully curated. Love it love it love it! Thank you so much.

What a fantastic place! It's cosy, viby, and chilled (even though, busy). You are sitting in the middle of a forest of flowers and plants (this makes you forget that you are in town!). The service is great (even on a busy day) and the waiters are very friendly and relaxed. We had such a great time! I recommend the fresh pastries and the vegan shakshuka! Delicious!

I remember my visit to "Our Local" in Cape Town where I had the best Shakshuka of my life. The restaurant was located on a charming street and was warmly decorated, inviting and cozy. As I looked through the menu, the Shakshuka immediately caught my eye and I knew I had to try it. I waited eagerly as the chef prepared my dish and I could smell the alluring aroma of tomatoes, peppers, and spices emanating from the kitchen. When the Shakshuka finally arrived at my table, it looked simply perfect. The eggs were perfectly poached and the tomato sauce was thick and flavorful. I took the first bite and my taste buds exploded with flavor. The tomatoes were sweet and juicy, the peppers were soft and hearty, and the spices gave the dish a wonderful depth. I was thrilled with this Shakshuka and I still think about it often. It was an unforgettable culinary experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town. "Our Local" definitely has the best Shakshuka in town.
