The coffee was excellent. Food is pretty average and strange that they provide 1 slice of sourdough with their ‘Michael’s Breakfast’ which is R110. Had to ask for a second slice and charged R14 extra. Definitely wasn’t worth R124.

After having come from a wet and windy hike up Devil's Peak, we went to Michael's and it was warm, service was great, having asked for a table of eight in the busy restaurant, the waiters managed to get a table up in no time. We enjoyed lovely service and my friends and I enjoyed our time there. Top quality food.

Very nice community, family type venue. The setting is quite unusual in that you have the ability to sit on a patio type bar looking at all the traffic passing by or sitting indoors where there is live music if i recall the 1st friday of every month. Beer draft on tap and a quiet unassuming venue to relax.

Always fantastic service from very friendly staff, and great coffee! Always a good vibe and a great place to work if you're waiting for your kids to finish their sport activities... Strong wifi signal. I see they now do a drinks evening on a Wednesday night at their very cool looking bar... nice addition.

Been here quite a few times. The food is average - some great flavours here and there though. Service is amazing. I ordered ice cream and chocolate sauce for dessert and the ice cream was very strange and grainy. My partner and I struggled to finish it just to not be wasteful. The prices are quite high for what you're getting. It's not a bad restaurant, but not the greatest either.

Nice spot in the heart of Rondebosch, easy eating style food and decent coffee. I had the grilled calamari and chips and was very nice and large portion. Service good and worked away on computer, great spot for catchup, quick coffee or sit and do some work.

I was surprised by the ambience of the place. It needs a more exotic name!! Loved the "build your own breakfast". Greatest coffee. Great menu!!! The free WiFi makes it the ideal "office".

What a pleasant surprise! Lovely, cosy eatery with EXCELLENT food and prices. Every element of the meal added value to the dish: crisp salad, 1st rate fries, but especially their house mushroom sauce, which has some special ingredient I'm sure. We were misled by the view from without for as long as I can remember, but now Michael's is a firm favourite! Kudos to the owners, chef and conscientious staff, led by their energetic manageress.

This is difficult to rate! As I am a Retiree, I found the meals expensive. A pasta dish costing R108 is a bit pricey, other than that it is convenient with parking across the road, pleasant staff and seating quite comfortable.

Had a shared breakfast with Cappuccino. Service and food quality were good and generous, at reasonable prices. There is inside and limited outside seating, although somewhat spoilt by traffic noise.

Michael's ! ! Situated corner of Rouwkoop & Campground roads servicing a trendy professional crowd. Excellent food well presented by professional staff. A go to for Rondebosch Boys Preparatory & High Schools . Great for early morning breakfast meetings with the Salmon omelette my personal favourite. Well worth a visit .

Husband and I went for breakfast this morning for our anniversary. Both ordered Eggs Benedict with bacon. I was appalled when the food arrived and saw how absolutely pitiful the serving size was. Two tiny poached eggs and some bacon on the smallest, single slice of sourdough - for a staggering R112! Sure it was tasty, but for that price, I feel totally ripped off. Needless to say we went home and made some toast. Disappointing.
