Reviews of Manna Epicure
A great place to go if you'd like to enjoy a nice meal. They serve an all day breakfast, which is amazing. Just note that they sometimes close their kitchen between 15h00 and 16h00. It would be best to call and reserve a spot, it can get quite busy.
But definitely try their coconut bread, the absolute best! Sssoooo delicious!
We went for breakfast and ordered 3 eggs omelet with toast. Added mushrooms to it.
It was yum and quite a big portion.
The ambiance was good to look at but there were one or two houseflies buzzing around. They must adapt some efficient methods to get rid of them, otherwise good start to the day with delicious breakfast.
Delicious fresh food, perfect service and wonderful ambience. Best breakfast in Kloof . I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in Cape Town
Wonderfully friendly staff.
All starters are delicious!
Mains (chicken tagliatelle and vegetarian gnocchi) were a little bland, but desserts made up for it.
Try the crème brûlée and malva pudding!!
Always a good experience, and the waiter serving us was exceptional. Lovely breakfasty spot.
Hard to describe how good the food is. Not cheap, but worth it. Nice vibe and good service.
Beautiful, minimalist setting. The menu is quite good and the cost is more or less average for Kloof Street. Best to book a table on weekends, but we luckily got a table unbooked. Parking is an issue as everywhere in the vicinity, so be prepared. Overall, I’d recommend it as a great breakfast place. I haven’t had their lunch, so can’t comment on that.
The breakfast was divine. Can highly recommend the eggs benedict - don't forget to ask for crispy bacon, you won't be disappointed
Nice vibe and great value for money breakfast, 8-9am 50% off!
We were in a large group for a business dinner and they were able to cater to individual diet preferences. The location is also great and the food is cooked to perfection.
This place is delicious!!! It has a beautiful interior, such lovely staff and it has some very delicious food!!!! My partner and I came here during our stay in Cape Town from a suggestion in our appartments guest book and it has not disappointed. Half way through breakfast we were already planning what day to come back to eat again and as I am writing this we are waiting on breakfast from this place!! So good we came back 🙂. It even does half price breakfast from 8am to 9am!! Even better you could get two different breakfasts if you can’t decide!!
Very cozy place, you can sit inside or outside on the porch. Service is very friendly and quick. Eggs Benedict were good (fluffy croissant, perfect bacon rashers, good Hollandaise) but not enough for me. Coffee pretty much on point 👌🏿
The 'half-price' breakfast special is what makes this place gain an extra star, because on a normal day, their service & quality is not something to rave about.
In general, it's a perfect "catch-up/early breakfast" spot that does what it needs to do. Their juices are unique with great creativity. Mimosa are shockingly terrible & way over priced - don't bother with those.
From what I have seen, the allow corkage.
A cute place with good decor, worth going to over & over...
A lovely little eatery on Kloof road. The setting is calm and inviting. Half price breakfasts before 9am make this one of the top breakfast spots in Cape Town but for dinners, the setting is very special and the food is absolutely delicious. A small menu with very good options, it's a very special.
It was an absolutely amazing experience. The ambience was soothing. The service was top notch and the food was well prepared and delicious. Thank you to the staff for this wonderful experience.
Good food at kind prices served with care and warmth. Lots of open air seating and strict adherence to safety protocols too. Been a popular and solid local eatery (and bread shop) for many years. Long may it continue.
Appetising food well presented with good service from the staff. Popular for breakfast with a fairly trendy crowd and Is relaxed enough to bring along a trained dog if they sit next to the outside tables. We keep going back.
After years and years of family holidays and exotic locations, I finally understood the tradition of wanting to meet the chef after an amazing meal. Varied, cooked to perfection and an extremely wholesome venue-the staff could not have been friendlier. Been back for my birthday, work lunches and breakfast since! HIGHLY recommend.
Great meal with amazing service from a brand new waitress (3rd day on the job). Thank you. I will return.
A cute small restuarant, the staff was friendly. However the food was a bit average, some aspects were good but some a little underwhelming. The portions size was also on the small side overall. Dessert definitely can be worked up.
The good:
Excellent food (albeit a bit pricy)
Waiters are very friendly.
Vibe is nice, especially if you like to talk to the people you're with, without having to raise your voice.
The bad:
As the front of the store is open, we did have an incident with a huge cockroach climbing up the wall behind my girlfriends head.
As this was our first time there, I don't know if that is a common occurance.
All in all we enjoyed our evening there, and so did our guests from Sweden.
Lovely venue and excellent service. Enjoyed our meal!
Great menu, smallish portions but tasty and prepared with care, fast and friendly service! We’ll definitely be back to try more breakfast options.
I like their menu's😋
Great breakfast options, loved by locals, casual and friendly atmosphere. Kid and dog friendly
Cute place. Food was not what I expected from other good reviews.
Awesome experience
Amazing food
I had classic which had a very tasty tomato (not being sarcastic), but was envious of my son's scrambled egg trout croissant.
Attentive staff. Fresh decor.
Very busy place - wich is a good sign. And in fact: Manna Epicure serves very good food and the staff is extremly friendly an nice!
A strong recommendation! And don't forget to make a reservation...
I had the loveliest morning at Manna Epicure recently! Great & friendly service & the most delicious coconut bread I was lucky eniugh to be introduced to
Lovely, warm hospitality and great food. Loved the wine list. Easy over Kloof street vibe.
Loved this little gem. Great service and food
Best service. Best eggs Benedict I've had in a long time. Had a good time and I'll make it a regular stop over whenever I can.
Very warm and welcoming. Some of the staff were pleasant and funny. Food is different in a good way.
Very friendly and attentive service, soothing natural decor and tasty food. Try the triple cooked chips, delicious!
Great location, great food.. especially croissants and coconut bread. Come here for breakfast before they run out of the croissants
Best breakfast so far!! Great dishes and good prices!
Excellent food and well placed. Great service too!
Really tasty. Great service. Nice ambiance. Quite expensive. Quality over quantity kind of place.
Best mushroom Wellington I’ve ever had ❤️
Amazing food, great service and lovely setting. Not much more one could ask.
Excellent food.
The French owner is super friendly.
Lovely place for lunch.
Friendly service combined with amazing food and atmosphere. Breakfast is the best in Cape Town.
I have visited Manna Epicure on several occasions and have always left a very satisfied customer due to the combination of friendly and attentive staff and high quality food. Breakfast at Manna Epicure is a must!
I have a Guest House in Stellenbosch and recommend my guests to dine here as I myself have only had amazing meals and wonderful service here.
Good breakfast with half price specials weekdays before 9 (might need to check if this is still valid).
Good food and service but they were out of croissants after 10am already.
Some of the best breakfast in Cape Town. Saturday's are half price before 9.
delicious food and great service. wonderful breakfasts.
Very good ingredients, prepared very well. Worth a visit
The Hidden gem of Gardens
One of the Best Breakfast spots in Cape Town, Breakfast Special from 8:00 to 9:00
Good food, great service. Tad pricey.
Love my new breakfast nook💜☕
Familiar classic eaterie in Cape Town. Casual but delicious. Go!
Great atmosphere and food was refreshingly new and interesting.
No fuss great breakfast - friendly staff
One Of the best Rips in CT // Service is perfect // love this place
Wow wow very nice food and service thanks guys
Nice food and average service.
Lovely breakfast spot in town
The mix of French/Corsican and South African cuisine works great! We particularly loved the curry, but also the onion soup, the mushroom Wellington and, as desserts, the malva pudding or - very particularly - the reduced creme caramel. And the tip about the special dessert wine was great! We were so pleased that we stayed there for two evenings.
Very warm welcome, quality food and superb culinary advice. We came across this restaurant by chance during our trip to the Cape and we plan to come back before our departure, that's to say... Allow around 25 euros per person for (a starter to share, 2 main courses, 2 desserts and 2 soft drinks )
I knew Manna from a breakfast and thought it was very nice. The interior is nice and we spontaneously got a place on the terrace for dinner. The Camembert beforehand was ok, the drinks were rather mediocre. Unfortunately, the main course didn't impress either of us. It's a shame, we expected more. In Cape Town, people always complain at a high level because the food is excellent almost everywhere. It wasn't bad here, but it wasn't a highlight for the price either. I can't recommend it. Service was very nice.
Ryouq Khyali is looking for your furniture, thank you. Great place
Excellent and nice service (Aron), tasty food and many local customers says enough about the quality and relaxed atmosphere.
Super delicious food, beautiful and relaxed atmosphere and very good service.
Very pleasant bohemian chic setting, excellent dishes combining French cuisine and local flavors
We ate excellent meat, served impeccably. Fair prices
Everything is great! A perfect breakfast on a very cozy terrace. We tried the coconut breakfast, the waffle and the fruit plate as well as juices and coffee. Everything perfect and the service very attentive. A 10.
Delicious food, super friendly service.
Nice atmosphere - we felt very comfortable.
