Bukhara is a restaurant with real real real food that will actually not make you regret eating there or spending on there. I saw this beautiful restaurant on TikTok & since I’ve been craving real Indian food , I’ve found one. Bukhara is top notch with a 10/10 service & food. I haven’t had real indian food ever since I left home. Thank you to our waiter Lloyd who gave up a 10/10 service. Very respectful very fast & consistent. He gave us good vibes from the minute we walked in those doors. Thank you so much Llyod. I also want to thank our chef Rakesh who made our food with love & some real flavours. We enjoyed our food and our time there was amazing!!

We walked in without any idea in mind and we were mindblown by the warm welcome and excellent and quick service by the amazing Lloyd. The food was outwordly, the butter chicken and the tandoori chicken were melting and spiced to perfection. We also tried Kulcha with duck and we ordered one for take away. Highly recommended. Thanks for the chef Rakesh.

The food was not so indian for my taste. The butter chicken wasnt authentic butter chicken, (sheesh tawook w sweet sauce.)The slow roasted lamb was good, i didnt like the stuffed puri. The garlic naan was great.

Being from India and having tried Indian food all over South Africa, I can confidently say this place serves the best Indian food. Chef Rakesh cooked us an amazing Dal Makhani and Chicken Vindaloo while Amanda our waitress provided us with great service. If you want to try real Indian food, this is the place to go. Must visit!

Enjoyed the dal makhni and dum aloo and the jeera rice. We had also ordered shahi paneer but was not that great. They also had run out of eggless desert, our waiter was very good and helpful Disappointed on the location as it was in an alley with no signboard and difficult to locate.

We went to this place yesterday. We loved every part of the experience there. Dishes we ordered: Starters: Lamb Galohti Kabab, Pani Puri Mains: Ghee Roast Fish (it's medium spicy), Nihari Gosht (low spicy) Sides: Laccha Naan, Garlic Naan, Biryani Rice Dessert: Cheesecake, Shahi Tukda All dishes were cooked to perfection. Chef Rakesh did an amazing job. Special shout out to chef Muni for the Galohti Kabab, reminded me of Tunday Kababi. Our waiter that night was Connoor. He gave us an amazing service. Highly recommend this place

We had a great dinner here, our waiter Mogamat did an excellent job at explaining the various dishes and recommended some great options (tandori lamb chops, pani puri and more). Overall the staff is very attentive. Chef Rakesh prepared the meals very well, lot’s of flavor. Overall a very pleasant experience and we will definitely come back.

The Restaurant has a warm atmosphere, and is very welcoming. The food is excellent and they also have a Hooka lounge where you can relax . It is situated in close proximity to Green Market Square, Cape Town City Centre.

Bukhara arguably has the best Authentic North Indian Cuisine in SA . My first choice when it comes to Indian Food . Portions are generous and absolutely delicious. The Chicken Cheese , Dhal Makni , Biryani and Prawn Curry is on point . The Service can sometimes be a bit slow , but worth the wait . The Chefs defintely know how to Cook .

We ate here five years ago and when we returned to Cape Town we immediately went back to this restaurant and we don't regret it! As starters, the two of us shared: lamb kofta, miso eggplant and Korean chilli chicken. It was all delicious, but the miso eggplant was our personal favorite. What a taste! Then we both took the butter chicken as a main course. We shared rice together once as a side dish and both had garlic nan. Absolutely the best butter chicken I have ever eaten. Compliments to chef Rakesh, it was all really delicious! In addition, our super friendly waiter Lloyd who helped us choose the starter and a delicious matching wine.

What a beautiful place to sit. However, it doesn't feel Indian. It's great that you can look into the kitchen. Because there are glass walls that shield the kitchen, the restaurant does not smell of herbs. That's a plus. Friendly service and we were helped quickly. Very good place and definitely recommended. Gets 4 stars instead of 5, because I miss the Indian atmosphere and could not easily find the typical dishes from India on the menu.
