Reviews of Casa do joão - Portuguese Restaurant
Excellent food prepared fresh by the owner himself. Our group ordered starters and mains and everyone claimed their choice was the 👌 best.
Unbeatable prices, friendly service, cosy little restaurant and at the top of my list. Thank you for the lovely experience and bursting full tummies.
The food here is so delicious and affordable! Great value for money and sweet owner.
Authentic Portuguese menu with a wide range of dishes. We had the most delicious crab curry. The portions were generous and extremely good value for money. Can't wait to go back. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
At last!!!!!!!!
A restaurant on the south coast that serves Bacalau 😃😃😃
That!!!! is going to save me the monthly trip to Durban for my "Fix"
A small exclusive Owner/Chef Portuguese restaurant with authentic flat chicken and Mozambique Prawns
Reasonably priced food together with "bring your own Wine and Beer" (unlicensed) makes for a very economical dining out experience NOTE: now licensed AUGUST 2023 LIQUOR LICENCE APPROVED!!! You can still bring your favorite wine and pay a corkage fee.
Very easy to find it's across the road from The Chippy Diner
Try it ! and like me you will become regular
Amazing cuisine. Very friendly atmosphere. Owner is the chef as well. Very reasonably priced. Great 3 courseSunday lunch 😋 👌
Food was very good, I had the giblets and the bacalhau it too me back to my roots.
The only downfall was not having a chilled Portuguese bottle of wine with my meal.
Excellent food and service. Simple and quant. A “must visit” location when in Margate.
Very nice food. Just lacking some back round music
Incredible old school Portuguese food. Enjoyed every bite
A small intimate little restaurant serving a large variety of delicious, authentic Portuguese dishes. The portions are very generous and the service is excellent. I can recommend the lamb shank. Be prepared for a long wait for the food to arrive. Unfortunately it is not licensed so remember to bring your own wine. Plenty of parking. available. Well worth a visit.
