The food was excellent--generous portions and tasty. The service was good and the food was brought to our table very quickly. The dry ice "smoke" was a bit theatrical but a nice twist to the dessert and coffee servings. The only thing I didn't like is that the smoking section is at the area outside the entrance and the breeze blew the smoke into the restaurant.

My second visit to this place and we were not disappointed, the wait staff were diligent in their duties and they were all attentive to us even if they weren’t serving our table specifically. We had breakfast and I was very thrilled with my salmon breakfast, the toasted bread on my breakfast was absolutely the best , I could have had the toast just on its own it was so good. The accompanying mushrooms were too die for , I loved it The small pide’s were complimentary together with small mozzarella ones as well. My spiced berry drink was a bit different this time , I think maybe too much orange juice. They make a fuss of you if it’s your birthday ( video ). They have a big selection of wonderful cakes , pastries and desserts. You have to try the cold baclava.

The food here was very good, one of the best Turkish food restaurants in jnb. Ordered the Turkish chicken skewers which was so succulent and juicy. Great options for vegetarians.. all in all good value for money

Turkish experience in Gauteng Galata Bakery and restaurant is excellent You feel the turkish culture and environment the moment you enter , the rich smell of good drives you to enjoy the tasty meals Turkish tea creates the taste.... lots of parking clean seating area Food is excellent deserts are yummy and you cant resist I suggest go on an empty stomach .. if you going for lunch then skip breakfast. Supper gets extremely full so go early Enjoy

Young crowd and good vibes. The food is amazing and the desserts are even better! Definitely try the steak, peppermint crisp cake and baklava! Will go back again and again.

Awesome setting, great ambiance, delicious food and excellent service make this place a 'must visit'. Spent 5 hours here, and didn't even realise it. Book ahead though, as it gets really busy. Ordered the braai chops as a main meal, and milk baklava for dessert. Both were divine, as well as the sheesha.

Always a great experience and vibe… Braai platters are really delicious, and if you have a sweet tooth then don’t leave without trying out the Milk Baklava(cold). I was however disappointed that none of their contact numbers were reachable and I was unable to make a reservation. I was told to make a reservation via whatsapp in future.

Love the decor and ambiance. Give a very sophisticated feel. We ordered traditional Turkish breakfast items such as simit plate, cilbir, and menemen. Everything was appetizing and delicious. The Turkish tea and coffee are so good that had to go for a second round of those and I left feeling high on caffeine! The pistachio baklava was nice and rich, but not as crispy, which I prefer. The bathroom was recently renovated and is so clean and pretty. Prices are steep. So it's a nice place for when you feel like splurging a bit. The waiters however can be a bit slow and we didn't know who was serving our table as a new one popped up everytime. So maybe that's something they can improve on.

We went on Saturday, 12 October 2019 and had excellent service. The food arrived quickly and the staff were extremely friendly. This was the first time we ate at their new branch and it is definitely somewhere I would go again. The food was tasty and the potion sizes were generous.

Hi. I absolutely loved this restaurant. It has indoor seating for the families and couples who do not want to smoke hubbly bubbly. The food was great and tasty. They prices are reasonable. The milkshakes were okay. The hubbly bubbly was very nice. A pleasant crowd of people. I would think that our waiter would habe been better. The desserts were very nice. I have been here with my friends and family and both times I had a good experience.

It is a nice place for Turkish food. We ordered Cajun chicken, pasta and kebab. Food was not spicy and cooked very well. All of them were delicious. Nice variety of sweets and other Turkish products as well. Restaurant offers halal food only. They have an outside area to sit and enjoy sheesha. Overall good experience.

If you are looking for something that is not the mainstream chain restaurants, this is a lovely alternative. Good coffee and cakes. Friendly service and a very chilled atmosphere. Have not tried the food yet but it seems very delicious, will definitely return.

Not for someone who doesnt like plain turkish braai. But they have something for everyone. I love Galatas simit burger. The owners are always nice to us as well. I dont mind going over and over. Also mr D delivers from them as well which helps. The pizzas and pidés are also really good. I havent tried their desserts but i will. Edit Still good. Try their baklavas and their cakes out. It is out of this world amazing. I do prefer their old school food but this suffices. The drinks are amazing as well. Thank you

Great cousine and great Shisha! Braams Bae Burger and the Chicken Chops are highly recommended dishes. If ypu are a Shisha enthusiast, then you HAVE to try the Sheikh Money flavour. Friensldly staff as well. Great experince all-round!
