Beira Alta Menlyn Maine is an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates outstanding Portuguese cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive staff set the tone for a perfect dining experience. The menu offers a fantastic selection of dishes, and everything we tried was exceptional. The chicken was tender, juicy, and packed with bold flavors, while the espetada was cooked to perfection, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The sides and sauces were equally impressive, complementing each dish beautifully. To top it all off, the desserts were heavenly—don’t miss out on their sweet treats! The service was impeccable; the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. Whether you’re planning a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable meal, Beira Alta Menlyn Maine delivers in every way. Highly recommended and definitely worth visiting again!

Lovely, relaxing ambience. Food was delicious and portions generous. Hubby loved the spicy prawns. Friendly staff. Note - For 3 meals (2 prawn dishes , 1 vegetarian burger) + drinks ( non alcoholic), the cost was approximately 1k incl tip.

This place was a pleasant surprise. While waiting for the show to start at the Sunset Arena, there was time for a meal and wanted to try something new. The atmosphere is great. The service was good. The food is EXCEPTIONAL. These guys can make great sauce. We had steak and the best prawns I’ve had in a long time. The portions are generous and the food is very tasty. The prices are well worth it.

I have been here twice now and both times I truly enjoyef it. It was surprisingly not too expensive for the large portions of food that was served. I had the chicken prego and it is divine, I would 100% go back just for that. Our waitress lacked some people skills but we were able to look past that.

Such a beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, our waiter was Kerry and she was amazing. The food was delicious. I had the chicken Trinchado with stir fry veggies and my friend had pasta. Although everything was amazing, my friend and I were extremely gassy after leaving the restaurant, perhaps there was a common ingredient in the food that caused it. I'll definitely consider going back one day.

We love coming to Menlyn Maine to eat and have been eagerly awaiting Beria Alta to open. We went last night and really enjoyed it; service was attentive and the food was delicious. We also loved the motif; the plates on the walls, the hanging plants, and the beautiful mosaic at the bar. We had a variety of food; pasta, stew, chicken, and seafood. All were excellent! My wife had a margarita that was very, very good (not the norm in RSA), and I enjoyed a very tasty Portuguese Super Bock draft.

We had the best experience yesterday at Biera Alta Menlyn maine. Our server, Merit was so excellent, she was friendly, attentive and so charismatic without being in your face. I was celebrating a birthday and she really made it so special. She deserves a raise. We also enjoyed the food and ambience. Will definitely be back...

I was expecting a lot more from a signature restaurant. The food was ok, but it could hsve been a lot better. The service was excellent thou.

What a beautiful place to share lunch or dinner with family. The food is absolutely Divine . My family and I had the whole chicken with tomato rice and sweet potato fries -it was absolutely delicious. I love how the chicken came in a delicious sauce because I hate dry food. Would highly recommend as a place for a warm hearty meal.

Great food and amazing service. Had the prawn & calamari combo and since I can't eat anything spicy had the lemon and herb option - was amazingly prepared with not a hint of spice or hotness. Good portion size and the prawns retained all of the flavors and not over cooked. Will definitely return again!

Absolutely lovely setting, the restaurant interior and decor is really modern and funky, service is great and the menu has a lovely selection of Portuguese dishes, as well as other dishes. If you fancy a meal with some Portuguese flats then definitely pop in and give it a try!

The food honestly is incredible (the Chicken is a highlight and will surely add to a prestiges repertoire for this new Menlyn Maine addition). Waitress Dudu and Manager Ryan we cant help to name and fame, the other restaurants situated in the square can DEFINITELY take a lesson in creating a profesional, welcoming, European-esk environment!
