Less is more. The decor is minimalistic because it's about the food....fresh and tasty. My prawns were super succulent and of good size. This place is definitely an addition to my favorite restaurant. 👌

Really nice little gem, great to grab a lunch from. I had their “Catch of the day”, which was disappointing... but I believe their have is really fantastic! Also their calamari was really good! No problem with parking... and seating is enough!

I had this 3 years ago and it tasted amazing! We are back in PE this year and this is the best place to get some good old fried fish and chips. We had Prawns too which were juicy and succulent. Thank you for great food all the time.

Best place to eat seafood in Port Elizabeth. It is cheap, fresh and delicious. Bad thing is they don't offer home delivery but you can place your order in advance by phone. Must try restaurant.

The fish is one of the best in town! Near Harbour. Having normal trading hours. You can call to place and order and pick it up as you pass.

The best fish i have had in a while! So nice and fresh and the staff was so nice. The VIBES of this place!!!!! All i wanted to do was take a bunch of pics! it is absolutely amazing! so authentic and makes you feel like you are in a different place. I would 100% recommend it to any and evryone!

A lot seems to have changed. The food still is great, although it seemed “boring”. The staff are not as friendly as I remember, more like an attitude of why you here. Had a problem that I found the milk cap in my coffee and when I returned it. The waitress was not apologetic but was more concerned that I knew it was not her that made my coffee.

The food is great and the wait time isn't long at all. The restaurant knows its peak time and caters well enough to deliver even with long queues, which keep moving at pace. The food is great and highly recommended. Not the greatest in terms of seating arrangements, but not bad either. There's plenty of seating, but requires some rearrangement for bigger groups. Bathrooms are also well-maintained.

This is a small place hidden away at the harbour. The food is great and the servings are generous. Pricing also is reasonable. I had a prawn combo and was delighted with the huge prawns on offer. The area is not developed so dont be put off. Just go in and enjoy the meal

Absolutely delicious fish and chips, served the old fashioned way. The price is right. They have a wonderful selection of ice cream as well. The service is a little slow though but I'm sure it's because they are so busy. There is also a jumping castle to keep the kids occupied. Clean restrooms as well. It's situated right at the Harbour, so there is a bit of an unpleasant smell, but it's worth it.

I have not had a sit down meal here but we got takeaways and I had a chance to look at the decor, loved the decor. Bright, clean and interesting. Very busy restaurant, does not serve wine etc and I dont think you can take your own. Our seafood takeaways were divine but I did not get what I ordered. So perhaps a good idea to actually check before you leave. We will be back, to sit and eat next time.

Always a real treat 😋 this one, you cannot really go wrong, relaxed atmosphere, authentic seafood and staff. The owner is more often there than not and if he's not, he's probably on a chokka boat fishing. So not just a fish & chip outlet but involved from the source 😊

Love the new Mary-Ann for 6 combo of fish, chips & calamari. Imagine a meal for six at an unbelievably below R200 price and not just cheap but was very tasty too. I used to just like their fish before but now, with whatever change they made to the taste I now love it. Would definately be 5 stars but somehow the staff never bring our drinks n I have to ask for it everytime. Otherwise I'm a very satisfied customer

Friendly staff. Service was quick. Had the hake and calamari. The calamari was soft and tender. Hake was cooked to perfection. Cool drinks was served ice cold...just lekker. There is a jumping castle for the kids to play on. Worth the visit for some lekker fish and chips.

Superb food. I had the fried Snoek and chips....best fish&chips I've had in 20 years. The venue is quaint and busy and quirky and a really great outside section at the mouth of the Baakens river.. plus bonus : seagulls in attendance waiting for your titbits! And absolute must for locals and tourists alike!!

Pleasant decor but that's all that grabs my attention.I ordered nuggets&chips and grilled snoek&chips,unfortunately both dishes were bland and not at all flavourful.We inquired whether coffee was sold and was blatantly told "no".We walked closer to have a look at the menu and was bluntly told by whom seemed to be the manager,to wait in the que....bad customer service.There was a sign that says "keep your own tables clean".No one came to sanitize our table either before we sat down.I definitely will not recommend visiting "This is it"

Great restaurant right in the harbor. This is a real insider tip, far away from tourism. Fresh fish is the order of the day. Seats outside and inside, great toilets. Great atmosphere, order at the counter and then the number is called and the food is brought to the table. The food was very tasty, would happily come again. It's a shame that everything is in plastic.
