The deep dish pizza is amazing!!! It’s been a firm favourite for years. No visit to Aliwal is complete without a pizza from Riverside Lodge.

The food was good and reasonably priced. There are no waiters to take your order at the table, orders must be placed at the counter and then they will deliver it at your table. Service was a bit slow

The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful with a magnificent view, it was late afternoon over, cool breeze from the river as the travellers were passing through the river crossing bridge adding some activity to the quietness in a complenetary manner, in the background of uniqueness was LM Radio, great sounds, complent to the Management it just added to speciality of this country establishment, the food was well prepared, staff was on their toes giving attention and informing on progress of the orders and then keeping us on check as we enjoyed our food... very very pleasant place away from the Gauteng hussle and bustle... Complemnts to Owner, Management and Staff LM Radio was just one helluvah flavour to the pleasant environment.. It's a real place to be ...will definatky be doing my last dinner there before leaving for Pretoria 🍾🥂🍻🍬🍷🍸🍽🍹🕺💃

Food and atmosphere was good. Not sure why the food took longer to arrive expected, perhaps, it was the lunchtime crowd, nevertheless, I was in good company so we didn't notice until we left.
