While still in Europe, I read a highly complimentary item about Black Pen and the quality of their service in assisting would-be immigrants to South Africa. It is no exaggeration to say Black Pen as a whole is exceptional. My wife was already a Permanent Resident and following my initial visits to the country, we decided South Africa was where we wished to retire. When first contacting Black Pen about obtaining a residence visa for South Africa, the process was explained in detail and involved first applying for a Spousal Visa. The process was described exactly as it transpired. Before I arrived in South Africa, I was guided by Black Pen with preparation of all the necessary documentation, which was required to be prepared for submission by me. Using the documents I had been instructed to obtain, the documentation package and application letter was prepared by Black Pen, to confirm it was exactly as it should be and an appointment made with VFS Global for its submission. Due to DHA delays, it was a year before an outcome was provided, but it was ultimately successful. All the advice and guidance provided by Black Pen was accurate. After a further year, I provided some updated documentation to Black Pen for my Permanent Residence Permit application. Black Pen again prepared everything and prepared it for my submission to the local office of VFS Global. After some processing delays by DHA, that application was also successful. The final step us for me to visit the local office of the DHA to obtain my ID Document. The detailed procedure was provided by Black Pen. For anyone wishing to apply for a South African residence visa/permit, I cannot recommend highly enough the service provided by Black Pen. My thanks in particular to Kamil, Athina and Nora, all of who have been brilliant.
