Reviews of Walter Sisulu Square
Informative, historical, but unfortunately dirty, covered in trash, full of hustlers and homeless. Didn't feel safe. Check-out stalls for goods.
Has potential to be have great experience and not well maintained. Lot of informal traders and don't feel safe
It's been badly damaged due to the covid unrest and building vandalism, but Soweto Hotel still looks good.
The hotel staff and management make one feel at home the food the rooms every thing is top notch, the minute you walk in they welcome you and they never get tired of their guests and they are questioning
Well I like this place and I see it about 3 times in a week. What I don't like about is that it is full of wrong people making the place look bad, I feel like the government if failing to protect this place which is filled with memories of our freedom fighters. More could be done make it best
Kliptown needs attention from the government really. That place shouldn't be so dirty when it has so much History surrounding it. You go there you find it in a dirty place where street vendors are have the whole place like a pigsty.
Dept Of Home Affairs is situated here...very qwik and efficient for drivers license...received within 7 working days...go ther just after 1pm, no queues
it's ok, however the looting left a trail of destruction, hope our people recognize and treasure this national key point.
You can purchase lot of things here, plus its closer to other stores, pick n pay and kit kat as well, Roots butcher is also there, if one wants to braai
Great for tourists a journey through the pages of history and the culture of Soweto. A profound destination to discover the history of South Africa and the Freedom Charter.
The place has a soweto vibe to it than other places and it has a museum which opens week days only there are market places where they sell veggies
The place is highly educational looking at country's historical.
Only if the local government can deploy security in the area
It a good place to do low price shopping, things like vegetables
It is a symbolic place. I was sad to see the African people that build the country still leave in a modern slavery and apartheid life style.
Love this place ,it's vibrant and filled with fruit and vegetables stalls
It s amazing place to be it has some hotel and a lot of interesting staff to learn.
The place is nice however it's been neglected, the lawn has foot path and not looked after its like they are waiting for rain to come down for watering.
Its such a lovely place to chill and enjoy your day and also to have a peace of mind
Great vibe. There's a mixture of South African history and the entrepreneurial spirit of this continent. Loved it.
Beautiful and accessible
Good hotel and conference centre with African feeling and warmest welcome best African reception one would come to know
Great place, wish they can increase lights around the place.Too dark at night
Lovely hotel to visit just come and see your self pay a visit friendly staff luxury rooms
The environment surrounding the square needs to be attended to. There socioeconomic status needs to be addressed. Otherwise I'll still visit.
Its has a five star hotel and all kinds of arts from music .dance nd art
Good place to have your car repaired and its way cheaper than other repair shops
A neglected opportunity for events. Perfect venue. Acoustics are pitch perfect here... 💖🤩
There's place to relax, the view is clear and there are area to buy snack and drinks if u need some
Pimville zone 4 8710 /39
A very interesting place to visit if you know the history behind it, or have a guide to tell you about it
If you are looking for a modern and sophisticated place to stay deep into the heart of soweto then this is the place for you
The buildings are designed beautiful ♥️
Its a buzzling tourist attraction with street vendors where the freedom charter was signed some years ago
The history behind this area is off great importance, it is sad though seeing the surrounding area as compared to this site
Tht a very professional designed place easy to track ur parking areas
The reception is welcoming, All was great super keep up the great work
A nice beautiful place at historical centre with high quality service
Run down... So much potential if looked after and featured on most Soweto tours
It's monumental building and beautiful inside. The down side about it, its it surroundings.
Really peaceful even wen its full due to prohibited sports.
Very much crowded place but with good service.
It's a community center, where you can find public services like post office sassa and more.
More marketing is required to the local tourist, this includes having packages that speaks to local market.
A historical place where Freedom Charter was adopted. The Square houses Soweto Hotel
Very neat and they serve fresh food
Really impressive, seeing in what conditions people live over there
Found in Soweto, Kliptown, it's a great place to host events. Opposite it is Soweto Hotel.
Rich history, the place where the freedom charter was founded.
one of Sowetos best tourist attraction. rich in history
It's a beautiful place in the heart of soweto.
Beautiful structure that holds the freedom charter and interesting history
It is in my neighborhood and it was a small town for my great parents
Monumental place.... That's where Soweto hotel is based
Impressive to hear the story about the places where history was written. Do visit it with a local guide. For example, Sowetovisits they give fun witch tours both by bike and on foot, we did a mix that was very educational
A place that unfortunately has enormous potential to be many things, including a memorial, but it is a very abandoned place.
Exciting place with the articles of the constitution. Unfortunately in a state of abandonment...
Very nice place.
Suggestive monument but very poorly maintained. Sin.
A bit too touristy compared to the intention
