R. S.World-class art museum, a must in Pretoria! Modern and ancient South African art is well represented here.
M. M.This is an amazing museum that mysteriously isn’t listed in many international guide books. The mix of modern South African art and gold artifacts from South Africa and other parts of Africa is worth the trip. The staff is incredibly friendly as well.
D. S. N.Great to see and learn about the ancient artefacts of the great people of Mapungubwe. There is a lot of other art in exhibition, including on SA's history (music, protests against Apartheid etc) and gold craftsmanship from the great Ashante (Ghana).
J. K.I'm not much of artist but i really enjoyed this visit. The Mapungubwe Gold Reserve is definitely the show stopper.
The facility is easily accessible, LOTS of parking. Its in a very central location. There's plenty to do in the area as well so book a full day when you go.
