Twice I have been to this home affairs and the service has been good. The efficiency and etiquette has been good. I was out of the office within the hour. My challenge is with home affairs systems as a whole. The new system is a dismal fail. I submitted passport application on 23rd august and 5 Sept I am still waiting. Previously in 2022 my passport was issued within 5 days. Whats more frustrating is the fact that there is no online tracker available to communicate where in the process the application is. |so we are sitting here like ducks waiting for who knows what. Appreciated that the whole Chidima/ illegal passports etc is affecting systems etc. but the rest of the business should not be affected as it is inconveniencing us ordinary citizens!

From the moment I walked in I was assisted by a nice security lady. I must say for a person who is used to long ques in Johannesburg this place regarding customer service was beyond excellent. My experience was fast and easy to follow with clear instructions given by the consultants. And bear in mind I got there @3.15pm. Overall I would like to thank the Government employees for a great service given.

Between the loadshedding and the systems being offline often (none of which the staff that works there can be blamed for), I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, from the reception all the way through to the application desk. They honoured the online appointment as well. The collection process was more challenging, but this was because of the system being offline on the first day and loadshedding on the second.
