Montecasino is always a great experience. Movies@Montecasino is no exception. A wide variety of 2D and 3D movies. Clean and reasonably priced

This is my favourite movie cinema theatre complex for a number of reasons. There are usually plenty different genres of movies on for different tastes... horror, action, romcom, sci-fi, bollywood etc. Cinemas are always cleaned immediately after each viewing and cleaned properly! Queues might be long on busy nights but the staff is excellent at making them move impressively fast. Cinema 11 is Il Grande... check it out, it's awesome and has a bar! Movies always start promptly and the pricing is very fair. If you don't like crowds, go on Saturday mornings for the 0930 screenings, it gets hellishly busy very quickly from about 11am.

My most visited cinema even though I'm far, I literally travel 45min for a movie. Sound isnt the best but its so comfortable and projected quality is good. The Popcorn is addictive. Prices are not bad either.

Great quality cinema. Last movie was a little loud for the few people there, but usually a nice quiet spot (people-wise) for a movie. Great to take your family to. Lots of other entertainment and food around as well. It's only really super busy on a big new movies release.

Good movie experience, only downfall is the free seating plan where you can not book a specific seat, and seating is on a first come, first serve basis. The snacks station is also very slow and can make one late for their movie even if having arrived well before showtime. Other than this, a good cinema house👍🏼

Really need to sort out the length of time it takes to get snacks. The lines were so long I had to abandon getting any snacks at all and the line STAYED long throughout the movie as well so I couldn’t even go midway and get something. Please consider having more snacks counters or find some alternative so that a person can actually GET snacks for the movie.

Movie theatres are good but when you buy unallocated seats to an almost full movie, is a problem. You find seats apart and you and your family have to sit in any available seats apart. Not a good experience

Movies at monte is always nice and can be very budget friendly, if you have a gold card which you can get at the information center, your parking fee will be R10 instead of R20, movies are about R80 or so and you can get a combo pack at the condiments section for about R110 so it not too heavy on the wallet. Overall experience is lovely.

Nothing beats a good cinema. Monti casino has 10. Went to to watch Mission impossible today and enjoyed every moment. Stop by and check out what's on show. Staff are eager to assist and if you have your Moni card. Tickets are discounted.

Queues for snacks are slow. Seating issue: due to choosing your own seating when you go into the theatre some patrons cause a bit of issues rocking up late and pushing other patrons for space.... which causes a little disturbance.

It would be great if there are more than two cashiers on duty for the movie ticket sales to go faster, the ques were very long and we waited very long. The capacity in terms of space can cope, but most of the tills are closed with two cashiers working. Besides that, great experience.

The Cineplex has a variety of movie cinemas showcasing various movies. The standards are well maintained, and the promotions with membership cards are really worthwhile. I would give it a 5 star, but the service when purchasing popcorn and refreshments can be quite frustrating. Something to note, otherwise it's a great place to watch the newest blockbuster movies.

I love these movies choices. From Indian cinema to kiddies, they have it all. Firstly it's super reasonable prices for 3D versions compared to other competitors and you get a 30% discount if you sign up with the casino. Popcorn prices are also affordable when you're taking a big family.

Their ticket prices are reasonable, not so sure about the snacks, as I didn't pay for them. The sound for our movie kept cutting off till it eventually cut off completely, which ruined the overall experience. The seats aren't the best quality. There isn't much cushioning and the cup holder is at shin level,so you have to lean forward to get you slushie😔. Overall it's a great experience, it's always kept clean, well managed and they adhere to COVID-19 restrictions.

I love the Montcasino movies! The cinema is spacious, clean and perfect for catching up on that typical feeling of going to the cinema with friends and loved ones. It would be nice to have the popcorn and treats sold for the last movies as well, but otherwise amazing!

Amazing theatre, great confectionery, great value for money and an overall great experience although for prime time shows (especially weekends) more effort needs to be put in to avoid stampedes at doors for the unreserved seats as I experienced. Maybe have reserved seating on weekends.

Great pricing compared to the other cinemas, with the Monte rewards cards you get a bit of a discount for upto 4 tickets. They have great combos, for the couples the Epic combo is a great deal. But if you don't like sharing your Popcorn don't risk it. Cinemas are always clean and well staffed. For the smokers there is a lounge were you can take a quick puff before your movie. For the kids the games are right next door.

This is an amazing and great cinema !! The staff were very friendly and able to assist with all questions . Be advised you do need to book ahead of time for your movies as there is always a crowd and very busy . The refreshments and popcorn selection wasn’t the best but decent . Prices are also reasonable .

Always awsome service, movies usually clean, only cinema I've been to in 4 years with 2 others in the area, it's always my first option. They have 3 different pay areas for snacks and you can pay for tickets one time. So only queue once. I've always got a seat for new releases so happy I didn't have to choose another movie. All in all excellent. Bath rooms also compared to other movie theaters are very clean all day, which is a big plus. Then you can step out and grab a bite from the number of restaurants and take aways makes it very convince nth they also close late so there is always options.

The theater's at Montecasino are always clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. You be assured that you will have a selection of the most current movies on circuit at the time. There are two ares to get popcorn, sweets and drinks, I suggest during holiday seasons to try get to the venue earlier as it can get rather crowded

Good selection of movies. Theatres are in good condition. Very popular place. I prefer the Ster Kinekor popcorn but I guess that's a personal choice. Queues can get long but you can buy your tickets while buying popcorn as well which is great as you don't have to wait in 2 queues

Comfortable cinema's with excellent sound and picture quality. Wide selection of movies to choose from with a variety of snacks to make your movie experience all the more enjoyable. Staff serviced ticketing service as well as ticket vending machines, aid in keeping queues from becoming long and tiring. An abundance of booster seats for kids aid in allowing the kids to enjoy the movie experience.

I really like that they offer a choice of 3D and 2D screenings, most of the other NuMetro and SterKinekor only offer 3D viewing options. It's also a little cheaper here, and the purchasing of tickets and snacks are quite fast despite it being busy. Staff are friendly too.

Movies at monte are usually the cheapest option- made cheaper if you have a Monte card (which I would highly recommend since you don't pay for it but it comes with great discounts). However cheap the tickets are, you'd never guess by the high quality service you get from their happy employees and the always flawless cinemas. The sound system is great in the theaters, not too loud or too soft. The seats in the standard theatres are quite comfortable and spacious but it is a real treat to lounge in their comfort seat in their fancier theatres.

The popcorn was not crunchy and the floors had bubble gum even though the cleaning was done just before the show started. I just hope it was a rushed Sunday movie time ..Normally I love watching movies here but today left unhappy .

I mean, I can't go wrong here. Always watching my favourite shows and pre-screenings at the IL Grande cinema. It has to be by far the best cinema I have been to. Book tickets online and fetch them early enough to buy popcorn and snacks beforehand. Never had issues except that it gets busy because people enjoy coming there to watch movies.

Tickets are easy to get and the sweets and drink vendors are decently stocked but the grand impressions of Monte Casino stays at the door of the cinema, uncomfortable seats alongside the unassigned seating arrangement does fall short especially in longer movies

The actual screening of the movie was good, as was the self service ticket machine and getting snacks was okay. However we could hear the people outside the cinema during the movie, and the seats are super uncomfortable.

Great for movies. Going on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening is a bit chaotic because that is when all the teenagers are out and about so Montecasino is very packed from about 3pm to 8pm.

Love monte casino movie prices arent ridiculous expensive and you still get an awesome cinematic experience. Only thing they shouldn't be allowing kids into movies for horror and other age restricted movies. Other than that it's a place to dig into.

So today I decided to watch Aquaman, waited for the rush and screaming kids not to be there. Sad to say the picture size was not fitting the screen. This could be determined by the cast advertisements before the movie began and at the end when the credits where being read. You cant tell during the movie because you don't know what you don't know.

Watching Avatar 2. It was a 3D video, but there was no prior notice, and I had to buy glasses separately in the crowded environment. The rest was a typical experience.
