Great for cooking oils, but my veggies don't last as long. And I got highly annoyed due to the amount of people(customers) taking up space in the isles just chatting... Will say that yes the cashier queue might look long, but it moves fast enough.

Very busy, had to wait in a long queue but fortunately they have so many payments and the queue moved quite fast. Prices are good but you must make sure the products are fresh. The chicken sosaties I bought was more pieces of fat than meat 🍖

The Store is large, open and bright compared to the dingy hole in Walmer! The outlay of the shop is great and everything looks superb, tidy and fresh. The specials are wonderful and there's a spectacular variety. I was so pleased that we could purchase a few healthy food items UNTIL, it was time to pay. The queues were pathetic! The check-out system is ridiculous! The queue wrapped around the entire store.....and this wasn't even for free food!! When one has to pay for items, you certainly don't expect to stand in mile-long queues. That really killed our experience.

Parking is not a problem at all. The staff are very helpful if you are wanting something but cannot see it. Fruit and veg are always fresh. Lots of specials, queues move fairly quickly at checkout.

One of the better Fruit and Veg stores I have visited. Well-stocked, helpful personnel and all tills are manned and functioning, thus making paying and exiting the shop despite long queues, quick and hassle-free. Thank you.

Very disappointing and inconvenient that you no longer sell cake fruit mix, cherries or dates at the section where you fill your packet with what you specifically want and it is then weighed. I certainly don't want to buy a 1kg tub of fruit mix or cherries if I only want to bake one or two cakes. Hence will now shop elsewhere.

The variety of fresh produce is excellent and the store is situated very close to where I was staying when I recently visited PE. It would have received five stars but I noticed that prices of fruit and vegetables would fluctuate on an almost daily basis which makes budgeting extremely difficult if, like my parents, you’re a pensioner and have a very tight budget. No explanation made sense and even though the fresh produce would be there for a few days, prices would still change regularly. Staff there clearly enjoy working there and know their stuff.

Amazing! I have not come across a meat market so good in PE! Great value for money. I am not tons of the produce section as mass produced produce and packing style causes produce to not last long. Their cheese and bakery sections are very good. I almost always find long q's at the tills but they are so fast and efficient I never wait long to pay. Best is there is a Seatle Coffee Co bar just outside the exit door. Best best coffee in town. Brilliant end to a good shopping experience

Lovely selection. Definitely going to try their fresh meats next week. I bought a pocket of potatoes, a small bag of onions and tomatoes for about R5 more than the price of a pocket of potatoes at a popular retail store...makes you think, doesn't it?

Wanted to make a fruit salad for my family ( all 16 of them ) went to food lovers market and I was absolutely blown away by the fruit I bought . Thanks papayas were sweet , The grapes were delicious with no seeds , oranges were sweet , pineapples were delicious , Guavas were unbelievable sweet and tasty. bananas just right , all the prices were well below other outlets, I'm an Ardent believer in food lovers market . The store was fully stocked with veggies and take aways .

This place is a massive improvement on the "old store" cashiers appear to be a bit more friendly and courteous. The store is clean, and well stocked. My only gripe, isles are a bit narrow, but really that is my only issue, which really isn't fair the store...

Food lovers market is a wonderful store. I love the new store and their services. However, i was greatly disappointed with one of the purchasers I've made on Saturday. I've bought a 5kg bag of carrots which I've done in the past. But for some reason upon opening the bag four days after my purchase. To discover that the whole bag is rotting. This has never happend to me before. So im not sure if its a bad bag or just because its summer time. But i was highly disappointed

I dont know how I ever leave without a car full of delicious foods, as there are just so many amazing things to buy. Tons of various fresh fruits and veggies, super fresh seafood, amazing selections of cheese, quick easy snacks like sandwiches and bread rolls, and delicious bakery items lile cookies and esclairs. I made a rookie mistake of visiting during the R10 sale, and left with so much food, I almost didnt have enough space in my fridge for all of it.

Brand new, shiny and clean. However, after being used to the Figtree FLM, the prices have increased significantly. Also missing the spice section of the previous MetLife Plaza outlet. Very impressed with the tidiness and cleanliness, as well as the display bins being neatly packed and not just tossed out in heaps. Only time will tell if this level of detail will be sustained.

Bought Ciabatta bread, seems like the baker only knows the correct shape ? Its basically just plain brown bread in Ciabatta shape - so disappointing. Ciabatta bread is a whole grain bread which is highly hydrated and has large air pockets - its not just a shape of bread. I have added a picture of a decent offering and the Food Lovers offering.
