I stayed here for one night. I really enjoyed it. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left everything was great. Was greeted by the owner and one of her staff Dawina. Dawina took me to my room and gave me information about the room, breakfast and dinner. She also explained checking out. Fantastic My room was beautifully decorated in a French Country Style. With little flower in the room, rest room and bathroom. There was also coffee and tea with a kettle. My room also had a fridge, which was great. The gardens was beautiful with it formal style. There was a little duck walking around, very cute but I do hope they find him/her a partner. Had a great stay and will definitely stay over again.

We found this place by pure chance! Their food is stunning (Lamb...of course...absolutely amazing!...chicken, salad, potato salad, freshly baked scone bread...divine...) and wine! 🍷 There’s a beautiful secluded swimming pool, the option to dine indoors (air-conditioned) our outdoors (immaculate gardens). The resident dog 🐶 and duck 🦆 are also adorable! The management and kitchen team did an outstanding job!!! If you need accommodation in Beaufort West, THIS is the place! If they are fully booked check out (via AirBnB) “4 on Hattingh” - out of our group of friends we’re staying here this year and it is exactly what we need! The the team at “Old House Lodge”, well done and keep up the good work!

Beautiful little old house converted into a stay. The stay is comfortable and the staff very helpful and friendly. This is a good stopover for people traveling to Capetown from Joburg. Guests need to order dinner or lunch arrangements before arriving here or bring in their meat as they have braai facilities on house.

This is my second stay here (after quite a few years), and what a great place to stay - lovely ambience, cuisine (thank you for the vegan options and the soya milk), and staff (especially Barbara). And, I am so glad to see that one of the two ducks is still ambling around.

We stayed in the guesthouse on the way from Cape Town to Johannesburg. The rooms and amenities were fine. The service at breakfast wasn't very good (there was only one cup of coffee and only a single cup was added upon request). The selection was also pretty poor. - The location with the garden was very nice, but the guesthouse was on a busy road at night. This was very disturbing considering we come from a big city. We don't hear any noise here (and live in the middle of the city), we had the impression that the trucks were driving through our room. Next time we would choose a different hotel.

The guesthouse is neat. The bedding is clean. The dinner was delicious. There are clearly problems with water in the bathrooms. We would also have liked to sit outside, but the chairs were full of bird droppings.

With the entrance and the delicious smell of Karoo lamb chops I immediately knew, HERE we have to spend the night tonight!!!! The hospitality of Sarita, Simone, Danny and Daleen deserves 150%+. Breakfast was just as filling and we even received a delicious home-baked sandwich for the long way to the Bushveld. Can highly recommend this "cosy" guesthouse with its beautiful staff. You will definitely see us again!!!!
