m. r.We spent 2 fabulous days at the Kloof Street Hotel. It's very unpretentious from the outside, but luxurious on the inside. Staff were welcoming, breakfast was fantastic. We also enjoyed 2 dinners in their restaurant. Congratulations to all concerned. The KSH is a real gem in the middle of CT.

Rooms are a bit small, but worked for me just fine, as I was mostly there for the night.
A. M. A. E.The Location.....It is very critical location in Cape Town. All facilities are nearby.
SPAR Market just few steps, opened 24 hours. Many many Halal Restaurants and Cafes are around.
The view from the room's terrace....on Table Mountain....WOW!!!!
WiFi is very good. Coffee offered in the breakfast is very good.
Staff in the Restaurant are the best. They are trying their best to satisfy the clients.
Staff in the reception is helpful.
There is no Gym...
Breakfast is below average...specially for Muslims....there aren't many Halal options, although, there is no much varieties, generally. The tanks of Juice and water were leakage, they put a glass at the tap of the tank.
I dunno, 4 STARS HOTEL doesn't have another tanks in the stock!!!! it is very expensive for the management to purchase new ones on the next day?!!!!
House Keeping team.....the worst thing in our stay.
Do you want to wake up early in the morning? So, request an Iron from them in the night....they will knock your door at 7:30 a.m to return it back!!!!
N.B.
1- 1st time we requested it, they didn't bring it. although, they knock our door next morning, asked about it!!!
2- 2nd time we requested it, they brought it and we used it and return it back immediately to avoid this early knocking.....Surprise.....they knock our door next morning, asked about it.....Honestly, unexplained attitude.
3- After 1st time, I complained to the duty manager (tall man was on the front desk)...he apologised, but it is repeated on the 2nd day.
You don't have any tracking system for your tools and facilities?? or it is one iron in hotel?
The cleaning was not that much, or not matching for 4 starts hotel......
There was unpleasant odour in the corridor of the rooms and in the parking.
L. S.Visited The Sanctuary restaurant and had the best most well rounded experience. The food was immaculate, the Mamma Lingiuni pasta was amazing, great drinks and overall lovely vibe. Definitely coming back. The team was also exceptional.

Negative:
NO DOUBLE GLAZING which is horrible when your room is on the street. The bar in front of the hotel is very very loud and it is impossible to sleep with the noise.
Sink in the bathroom is way too small. You end up with splashes on the floor whenever you want to wash your face.
The shower stream is not strong enough.
Compared to other 4 star hotels, you can find way better for the same price.

M. P.We had a great stay at Kloof street hotel. The location is fantastic, the views are incredible and the hotel is nice. Staff are super friendly.
I do however have a couple of items that I thought could be better.
1. The bed is extremely hard which I think is quite a strange choice for a hotel as a hard bed is an extremely specific preference. Pillows are not good either, also very hard.
2. The basins in the room are way too small. When you wash your face you splash water all over the floor.
3. Our shower didn’t drain well - room 116
4. No plug to plug in coffee machine
A.The real gem of this place is the people. They make you feel like your visiting their home and they want you to feel at home. I had arrived and was feeling very hungry but all I wanted was a home cooked meal and the person working at the desk could see I was close to tears.
He asked me what would I want ? I said I just want something simple like pasta. He said go relax in your room we are on it.
I got a bowl of delicious pasta that made me feel so much better.
The next day I told one of the ladies that I felt very grateful. She asked me if she could get me coffee and gave me a hug.
I told her I would write a review. It's been a year but here is the review.
C. A.Wonderful location, in the middle of all the shopping and night life. Excellent spacious and comfortable rooms. But my favorite is the service, attentive, accommodating and never overbearing. My suggestion to everyone in Cape Town..... Have a stay here, you will not regret it!

The breakfast was delicious as well and the place is absolutely stunning, very earthy, yet modern and chic. I loved how the hotel is close to so many shops & restaurants, literally walking distance (around the corner & down the road)! Only problem is that the room did not have coffee nor any complimentary water.

J. R.It’s a great hotel with very friendly staff. It’s in a very central location with a lot of restaurants and shops being just a walking distance.
The reasons why this isn’t a 5 star review are:
- the noise levels are very hectic on certain days like Saturdays. Depending on where your room is located, you will be disturbed with the music, cars revving, etc.
- the waiters/staff make you sign for your breakfast just as you start eating. It felt a bit rude, almost as if they want you out. It probably isn’t the case, but I feel like there should be a better system.
Otherwise, it’s a fantastic hotel!

We had our coffee with a beautiful view of Table Mountain facing the street with ample fresh air. Bootlegger coffee was great. The Coffees and milkshake were well priced.

I. E.Rooms are big and clean, but avoid staying at the ground floor - each evening there is kind of an event/live music which can be heard from the room.
Breakfast is basic.

S.Unfortunately, service is poor compared to all other hotels. I received an email with Upgrade your stay. At check in I was told why I wanted to upgrade, the room would be great with a terrace and table mountain view. The room overlooked a concrete building instead of a city view. Underneath there was probably a charcoal grill that would have smoked us on the terrace. And next to it all the air conditioning units… avoid room 107. |When we asked if we could change, everything was fully booked. So what, I only booked a city view (I thought the city view was a waterfront, nope). |Minibar is locked, had to ask 3 times for it to be unlocked. Why actually? Don't you want to sell anything?|Shower in water search mode, cupboard doesn't close. Never shower towels for all 3, you always have to ask. |Pool: pool towels never available - housekeeping cannot keep up.
O. W.The location is great and the view at the pool/breakfast is great. Staff friendly. Parking securely in the parking garage including access to the hotel from there.
The cleanliness was not enough for us (several blood stains on the bed linen, clumps of hair on the room floor, large stain on the fresh pillow, dirty glass at dinner, dirty plates at breakfast...). Unfortunately, our room was so small that there wasn't even room for open suitcases.

s.Really great hotel in the middle of the city. Unfortunately we were only here for one night before we left for the airport and home. The rooms are really great and the overall ambience of the hotel is in no way inferior. In the evening there was a show at the pool, which was really nice. M. v.Modern hotel. Nice and well decorated rooms! We had half board and the food was delicious. In the morning a buffet and in the evening you could choose from the menu. The staff was really friendly and helpful! Nothing was too crazy. The location was also great. Many restaurants nearby. Perfect base for Cape Town. ||Ps: thanks for the upgrade. Enjoyed it immensely.

Unfortunately for vegans, very modest.
M. M.Very nice modern hotel. Location wise it's in a really nice area with lots of cafes and restaurants. What surprised me: The bed in my suite was only 1.85m long - I only had a double bed, so I slept diagonally in it. If you're taller than me (1.86m), it could be difficult for two people to sleep in the same bed. The free WiFi had a speed of 10Mbit/10Mbit during my stay and worked very reliably and was even fast enough for video conferences. I wasn't so impressed with the breakfast buffet - the staff had difficulty continually refilling the buffet. There are so many great options for breakfast in Cape Town that I would always prefer a café. However, the à la carte breakfast in the hotel is very decent (usually for an additional charge).
M. M.So for value for money only three stars. In the middle of it all, but also a noisy environment.
Hair screens in the shower were so clogged that the water was standing and doors on the closet were hanging off. Rest a solid hotel. I got the bill.
C. K.It's a beautiful location with a view of Table Mountain!|I stayed here alone, but I didn't feel alone. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped me regularly. There was something to do every evening. (band, salsa lessons and party) And the restaurant has delicious food.
