We had a wonderful stay at Dunstone during our Wellington Wine Walk. Dirk and Natasha are wonderful hosts and they did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were helpfull and friendly. I’ll definitely recommend Dunstone as a base to explore the beautiful Wellington area and surrounds.
Lovely venue - with beautiful artworks and best wines!
We loved this place. Staff were super friendly. The food was delicious and in my opinion well priced. They have a great play area for kiddies both indoors and outdoors with a beautiful shadey garden.
Beautiful and peaceful environment to have a meal or just coffee. Good food leaning towards gourmet, but also kid friendly choices.
Linger as long as you wish; seated under guava trees, in a large outdoor play area or by the duck pond. There's also a play room with Lego, SPUR type jungle gym and reading corner.
One of Wellington's treasures where one can play traditional 'Boules' or just relax in nature
Great stay. Absolutely love this place. If you love luxury out of the city's busy life . This is the place. Come relax. Room service or take a relaxing stroll down to the stone kitchen for some great food wine and olives. They really do take car of you here. If you stay longer and want some variety w.r.t eating, there are other close by restaurants on farms as well.
Lovely place for families with small kids. So many options for play both indoors and out. Aircon too for those hot summer days.
Food was good. Not great but good and fairly priced.
Most awesome holiday ever in Dunstone's Guava Cottage - who could want for more, the cottage catered for our every need and the quick visits from the dogs and passing by of the pigs each day were added highlights. Cant wait to come again 😍😍😍
Room-everything was thought of!!!! Book exchange nice, view lovely. Wine hour nice bonus. Pool area inviting and great view.
The Stone Kitchen's food is always good and sitting out under the guava trees is a goos place to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Nice facilities for the kids. Food was decent, lamb burger was the best dish at our table
Service is great. Superrr ,excellent.

This place is a great place to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner also for sleep overnight in the beautiful guest house
Great food, friendly service and the best place for kids inside & outdoors 😍
Highly recommended, absolutely beautiful and very hospitable.

Awesome food, awesome staff, awesome for kids
Breakfast was fantastic.
Fantastic service
Friendly service, delicious food (3x a day!) AND last but not least beautiful views over the valley. I'll be back!
Excellent 4 night stay in Dunstone. Calm and serenity assured. Flawless hotel services. Excellent base for exploring this magnificent region.|On-site catering could be improved. |New French-speaking and very friendly owner, which frees you from learning Afrikaans or revising your English...
Dirk and Natasja will be the new owners of Dunstone from January. They are very hospitable and friendly people. Everything is correct and they are going to make even more improvements. We will definitely go back on our next trip to South Africa. We think it is highly recommended.
Very pleasant and personal welcome. A beautiful authentic building with character, cozy furnishings. The owners know the region very well and will help you with all kinds of tips to make it an interesting and pleasant stay. Moreover, both are professional wine connoisseurs. In short, highly recommended.
Wonderful little property, far from any hustle and bustle. As a guest you will be really pampered with cake, wine, fruit etc. all included. The most beautiful and warmest pool of our trip. Here you can really unwind.
Just like 2 years ago, we had a wonderful time again. Very beautifully situated wine estate. Luxurious and spacious rooms. Nice place where you can sit during the day and have a wine tasting at the end of the day. Friendly staff. The food is delicious in the bistro, which you can walk to in a few minutes. We will definitely go again next time we are in SA!
Beautiful place. Beautiful view over the vineyards and surrounding mountains. Very nice, cozy, spacious, luxurious and clean room. With a piece of your own private garden. And a beautiful swimming pool with nice beds around it. A cozy common room and terrace for wine tasting, among other things. Very friendly staff. And a tasty and cozy restaurant on site. Really more than recommended. Price-quality ratio really top. If we are in the area again we will definitely go back!
Very nice place. Child friendly and great service. Ideal for a cozy visit under the trees...with your glass...
We spent 2 nights in the Vine Cottage. The Vine Cottage is recommended. It is a bit out of the way, in absolute peace and security. The cottage has a shower and freestanding bath with mountain views. Outside there is a private hot tub and a small garden with sun loungers. There is also a private grill available. The team was very friendly and a tour of the winery was organized especially for us. For breakfast you walk a few meters to the attached restaurant. The breakfast selection is extensive and the dishes offered are very tasty. Dinner was also great, very tender spare ribs that I can really recommend. On the second evening we ordered a picnic basket to our cottage. This is really ingenious, it was barely manageable in terms of quantity and was super tasty. We were able to enjoy the sunset and the full moon on our own terrace. If you're looking for peace and quiet and great accommodation, this is the place for you!
A beautifully situated manor, with 5 rooms that are meticulously maintained. Everything radiates peace, tranquility and class. Well-kept courtyard with a view of the mountains behind and a lovely outdoor garden with infinity pool and luxurious sun loungers in the middle of the vineyards and beautiful views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Private parking space for your car in the shade of overhanging grapevines. ||||Separate lounge with separate outdoor terrace. Free teatime with cakes and cookies is held here between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. And from 6pm to 7pm free wine tasting of wines produced at Dunstone. ||||We had booked the Lavender room, with a view of the pool. The Lily room next to our room also has a view of the swimming pool, the 3 other rooms are just behind the lavender and lily room. Each room has its own outdoor seating area with 2 luxurious chairs. The rooms are classically furnished with almost an excess of decoration. Pleasant room with tiled floor, darkening curtains, well-functioning and silent air conditioning, flat screen TV, free WiFi of good quality, refrigerator, etc... Nice spacious and clean bathroom with combination bath-shower. All toiletries available. Good towels. Super double bed with mosquito net, good mattress, 2 pillows per person.||||The restaurant is within walking distance (200m) of the rooms. This restaurant is also frequented by people from Wellington and is quite large with plenty of options for children. But absolutely not disturbing for the inconvenient guests due to sufficient distance between the restaurant and the rooms.|| ||Conclusion: a top stay for a few quiet days, not cheap, but luxury has its price.
