This is an old-fashioned and pretty hotel that was converted into a hotel from a post office building built in the 1930s. Most of the furniture is antique, which adds to the atmosphere. The staff were also really nice and friendly and attentive to detail. Since there are only 12 rooms, I liked that they seemed to take good care of all the guests. This hotel has underfloor heating, which is rare among foreign hotels, so I think it's the best hotel for Koreans. Because it's right next to Rosebank Mall, it's convenient because you can get everything done inside the mall without having to go outside. There is a train to the airport across the street, and an Uber to the airport costs about 270-280 rand. The breakfast was simple but luxurious and there is a nice smoking lounge for smokers. There is no health club in the hotel, but we send you to the health club in the Rosebank Mall, which is right next door. The health club was very large and well-equipped, so it was better than the hotel health club. Overall, it was a very satisfactory experience and this is a hotel I would return to if I visit Johannesburg.

Great hotel. Large rooms, English style, brocade curtains, excellent bed, huge bathroom, very attentive service, and dedicated management. The only downside is that the hotel is currently surrounded by construction sites. Access to the parking lot is a bit challenging with an SUV. Directly adjacent to the Rosebank Mall, which boasts a first-class steakhouse.
