Reviews of Park Inn by Radisson Sandton
Dear Folks,
Thank you so much for the great service. You have made me feel at home. First thing I noticed is your water quality. Many European hotels will envy your 47 ppm water instead of the usual 800 + ppm (water specifications ± 600 ppm max). I have been spoiled by the chef it was always a delight and surprise what was put on the table. The dining personal is too fast. You turn around to get some fruits at breakfast and your table is clean and your coffee gone. But with a big smile fresh coffee was served. Staff is very helpful and efficient. I am sure you will see me again. Keep up the good work.
I went for a business seminar hosted by world ventures. It was an awesome experience. I also forgot my cell phone in the bathrooms after 30 minutes I went back to the bathroom to look for it and the cleaner told me they had taken it to the reception. Wonderful, honest staff members.
Good service, safe parking, spacious and comfortable rooms. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has affected everything, even this beautiful and modern hotel. I wait patiently for the tourism industry and business travel to resume so that maintenance can return to the high standards we are accustomed to.
Comfortable beds. Convenient location. But they have removed some of the amenities that made this hotel worth it. No fridges in the rooms, they also have us a surprise overnight parking charge - missed that in the T&Cs.
At breakfast, other hotels let you take away juice / coffee in your own container - they don't. We had paid for B&B but had a breakfast meeting elsewhere and requested to take away a breakfast pack - nope, they could only do a sandwich.
It's the little things.
Had stayed here previously. Don't think I'll be back.
The rooms are comfortable and a good night's sleep is possible. The cappuccino at breakfast is really good. Unfortunately, the bacon at breakfast kept running out and was not replaced timeously. The chef at the egg station could have used help but many of the staff simply stood at their stations staring into space. The stacked plates were not all clean. The hotel obviously ran out of serviettes and the staff thought that replacing them with disposable bathroom towels was acceptable. Unfortunately, there is a lack of attention to detail in the rooms. For example, there were no teaspoons in the room for coffee or tea. There were coffee stains on one of the pamphlets in the room which made me distrust the overall cleanliness. There were no information pamphlets in the room. The phone kept telling me that there were voice messages for me left since 2015. The phone was also grimy and grubby. The remote for the TV needed fresh batteries. The duvet didn't fit the bed and was ragged at the open end.
A good place especially for business trips. About a 7minutes drive from Sandton City, so generally accessible. Ubers are available in a few minutes. Rooms are generally good. The shocking aspects were mainly on service delivery. A few steps towards the entrance, the security guard who was at the opposite block called out to us, asking where we were going! The lady at the reception in the morning was very polite. However, the service at the reception in the evening was wanting as the hotel had mixed up my reservation, by the time I got back in the evening. The lady at the reception in the evening really offered a wanting service, though the issue was eventually sorted out.
Excellent hotel and staff.
Staid here for a week, service is excellent, breakfast is all what you wish for and the staff is very friendly and professional.
My special greetings to Sam,Nicholas, Rosemary and the gentlemen " shoe polisher", well done everybody.
Next time I am in Johannesburg will stay here anytime.
Keep up the good work.
This place is just okay. The upside is that it's very affordable. The downside is how small the rooms are. Many of the rooms have no windows at all, making the spaces feel very claustrophobic and suffocating. The TVs weren't set up properly and the WiFi was slow.
Access in and out of the hotel is also a nightmare, because it essentially relies on one-way rounds through the front and then a small backroad out the back. This might be a good fit for students or passers-by with a tight budget. Otherwise, I would not recommend if you're looking for a comfy Sandton weekend.
Conveniently situated in Sandton. Easy check in & out. Secure and safe; keycard activated elevators etc. Excellent on-site restaurant with an extensive breakfast buffet incl. omelet station. Bar a bit on the loud side to be really relaxing, but popular nonetheless. Only small negative was that there was no business center for copies etc. But the front desk staff more than happy to help with that. Would highly recommend the Park Inn for a comfortable, friendly and safe stay in Sandton.
While the rooms are not very big, they are very comfortable. The service is very good and prompt. They work around the clock to ensure that you love your stay with them. I will definitely be back.
Apart from being welcomed by an armed robbery in the reception area, which shook almost everyone present at the time, we had a lovely stay at the hotel. Very helpful staff, great service. Good security beyond the reception area, but could do with a better security in the reception area and outside. I hope everyone who was robbed on October 13th, 2013 was compensated accordingly.
Only went for a breakfast meeting so can't comment on hotel overall. Really average breakfast. Bone dry wors chopped up. Very little bacon. Too many people for the coffee machine to keep up with. No salt and pepper on tables. Not a great variety by Sandton or Raddison standards.
I booked online. Upon arrival to check in l was told that rooms were not ready and that was already 2pm. I was told to wait for few minutes. I waited for approximately 30 minutes and went back to the counter only to find that the lady who told me to wait had left for the day and another one took over who didn't even know what l was waiting for. I was disappointed and decided to leave for another hotel. In a nutshell, customer service can be improved!!!
One of the greatest hotels around the Sandton area. Great conference facilities which well fitted out, great support staff. Refreshments during the 4 day training programme was always fresh & ready on time.
Spacious and safe parking. Friendly staff. Good food and a good environment especially for business meetings. Less than 5 mins from Mandela Square. Nice view over Sandton and it's surrounding areas.
We stayed for a week and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We felt safe at all times! The breakfast was just great.
It's an okay Hotel !! With okay service ....given the location of the hotel in sandton they can really amp up their service and amenities in room given its a Radisson entity.
Breakfast has lots of room for improvement and service also can be better
View from the 5th floor is amazing on the side of Michael Angelo towers...
We had a wonderful stay as part of Mandela Washington Fellowship, First in May this year and again on 28 September 2018. What a blast, epic top class treatment both times, ever friendly staff and great food.
My room was very clean and everything worked well. The housekeeping lady responded promptly whenever I requested for laundry and ironing. I enjoyed my stay.
A comfortable hotel. Nothing spectacular but comfortable room, reasonable selection of TV channels, shower OK but water temp not great. Reasonable gym, normal hotel breakfast. Convienent location if visiting Sandton.
Lovely environment, calm and central to significant places in sandton. House keepers are polite and helpful. There's a shuttle that plies Nelson Mandela Square every hour. Breakfast not really great.
Trendy but a bit cold. They used COVID19 as an excuse to lower their service levels.
The waiter in B&G Grill was exceptional though and went out of his way to get me Avo for my salad.
The allure of this hotel is for several reasons. First, it is a walking distance to Sandton city, Mandela Sq, and the Gautrain metro train station. Second, it has a close proximity to the Jhb city center, while the Jhb zoo is a short cab ride or car drive to it. Three, its pricing is competitive, it's amenities are trendy, if bright-colored, although its std rooms do not have a fridge and staff is slow to respond to guests' requests. And four, it appears to be favored largely by the young crowd. I recommend it.
Good hotel - conveniently located in Sandton and nearby to various places in Johannesburg, including some good restaurants. Room was ok. Mostly travelled from here to various nature parks and museums showing the history of South Africa.
Amazing food, beautiful views and friendly staff. Some issues from time to time with their entry cards however the front desk team quickly resolves this for you
A very nice in the upscale Sandton City area of Johannesburg. Accessible easily from Gautrain and hence the airport. You can quickly get to the finance district of Sandton and the business houses based there
Really good hotel considering the quality/price ratio! Can be improved bit really nice: big rooms, clean, kind staff, very menu (the steak was really good!)...
Large breakfast buffet, clean rooms, great staff. Always call to confirm booking as were booked for wrong dates. Emails go astray inc flights
Comfortable and located close to amenities. However; cleanliness could be improved, guests are required to pay for parking and there is a limited breakfast offering.
Excellent facility state of the art building. Clean environment and the smell of the surroundings smells green despite in an urban area. The place is awesome.
Nice hotel, but aircons are notoriously temperamental. Had checkin issues last time so just double check everything before had - don't assume!
Great staff, welcoming, rooms are very neat nd about WiFi was excellent no code required....thanks once again spend night on 23 October 2015
The reception was warm and welcoming and the rest of the stay was relaxing. This was my second visit, and I'll definitely go back again.
Was great! Courteous staff, had to pay upon check-in despite previously inputting my card details for reservation.
I am loyal to this hotel for the quality, peace, service, price and location. The Standard is high level... 5 stars.
Parkinn by Radisson is a beautiful place I like their food and conference room's. I did get a room because they were fully booked but the hotel is so welcoming I like it
Very good hotel. Rooms are neat and look good. Good good service from a lady by the name of Petunia at reception
Well located and priced well and value for money. Staff are friendly and place is clean and comfortable.
Beautiful and adequate rooms. Great bar. Good value for money in Sandton.
Lovely. Clean. Fast wifi. Friendly staff. Attention to detail is magnificent
Nice place to visit...went for a friends sendforth and it was a great atmosphere..friendly hotel staff.
Great hotel but more for business, well equipped and good breakfast.
It's great beautiful place but u have to pay for parking which I do not understand at all
That parking and parking cost is hectic. Not sure of meals.. rooms and gym are cool. A friend stayed and I visited.
Great place..good prices ..
Its centrally located in sandton
Has room service and other necessities
Not the best but not the worst. Food and Drink very expensive for this caliber hotel.
Nice place to stay, not too expensive and looks great
Lovely establishment. Great customer service and friendly stuff.
I stayed in this hotel for 21 nights, a normal hotel compared to those in Europe, but given the place I would say it's not bad. |The swimming pool is as if it were not there as it is very small and very low. |Unfortunately, insects reign supreme in the garden (I found a 10cm spider on a table) |The place is safe and close to Mandela square, complete with a free shuttle. |Excellent restaurant and advantageous prices, you can have a hearty dinner for just over 5 euros. |I recommend it only if you have to spend a short time there, otherwise it doesn't have many services.
It's a good hotel. I ended up there by accident. Very friendly staff and the room was small but good. Very clean. Small but nice fitness room. The breakfast was very good and really recommended for the price. Pool is also available. Parking costs R45 per day. The only downside is the room doesn't have a minibar.
The hotel is good, comfortable rooms with a good bed, electric kettle (for coffee addicts like me, this is very valid), iron and ironing board, minibar.
The pool is very small and doesn't get any sun, as it is in the middle of two buildings.
Weak breakfast, leaves something to be desired...
I found the reception staff to be very unprepared, as they don't know anything about tours in the city.
There is an hourly van that takes you to the mall, which is what saves it.
Hotel Located in the upscale part of Joburg.|The room is pleasant, well decorated and with LCD TV, mini bar, ironing board and iron, slippers, wi-fi, good shower and good bed. | It has a small swimming pool and a gym. If coffee is not included in your daily rate, don't pay to drink it, you'll spend your money for nothing. I think it's a lack of respect for the guest and I check which has other reviews and everyone complains about the breakfast and the hotel doesn't solve anything. It must be the standard, whoever ate... those who arrive later will eat whatever is available, if any.|There is a van, every hour Mandela Mall is full. Just pay attention, as there is no first-come, first-served queue and if you arrive first, people will enter without respecting the order.|Apart from breakfast, the hotel is good.
There is free wi-fi in the rooms. The connection is quite fast. There is also a small and cute bar at the entrance after the reception. There is also a large smoking area right next to the bar, which opens to the outside and has garden furniture and tables. Inside, next to the bar, there is a room on the left with large and comfortable armchairs. They may sometimes forget their bath towels. Ask at the reception, they bring it right away. The breakfast is considered rich. I recommend the cheese omelette. Unfortunately, there are no olives, but there is fresh kashar and cheddar cheese. There is definitely a basket with red or green apples or bananas in the basket. Actually, I am offering you a taste you have never tasted before. Pickled mushrooms. In the middle in jam jars. Be sure to taste it, you will like it. There is a free shuttle service that takes you to the center every hour. Again, it brings you back to the hotel free of charge from the center every hour at 15:00.
