What a huge, massive and spacious feeling version of a builders warehouse. Never been to this one before, but well worth the drive from PTA......HOWEVER.... What I did not like, which certainly reduced a possible 5 star rating to 4, is the fact that I was literally accosted as I entered the store, by a very enthusiastic "greeter" who firstly asked me what cctv camera I was going to buy for him and then telling me he was sure I had arrived in a "big Ranger 4x4", which is not the case. I was not impressed by his approach at all. I feel this store should train the Greeters as to what is and is not appropriate when a greeting a client at the door or anywhere else in the store.

Everything under the sun can be found in this shop. They also do glass cutting, wood cutting and key cutting. Building material in and out doors, large lighting section. Gardening one stop. Garden and outdoor furniture, pool care, tools, paints. They mix your paints in the coolest colors. Arts and crafts. When my husband disappear without a word, i always find him here. I don't mind, i know i will get the benefit. Ladies get your husbands hooked, you will always know where he is and you will never have to nag to get things done.

Putting up a double carport in a Edenvale, And we forgot our welding helmet and spirit level in Roodepoort, ran in picked up the items and was back on site in 20 minutes, Amazing,

Got the product needed at a good price. Was a bit disappointed in the wait for service, though. However, when I did get hold of the lady in the plumbing section, she was super friendly and helped two customers at once with the same product.

This is far way the best organized branch I have visited. The isles are clear, store is neat and airy. The check price scanners actually work! Parking wasn't an issue. Dispatching was straight forward. Places to improve are price tags on shelving. Clear tags on promotional products. Great experience when I compare to other branches who don't come close. Do take down some notes. Well done!

I love this Builders, but they do need to keep enough stock. I have been battling to find stock for my chalk paint furniture projects. And also, look at being a Tjoko distributor, if that is allowed. Try also stocking cheaper staple guns. Otherwise, I am pleased and this is my go to hardware.

Great shop, but staff leave much to be desired, badly trained, all in twos chatting away and hiding between the isles, not very productive. And then you get one or two who are so willing to help. But really most don't know a thing about the products, or where they are, not willing to spend time trying to help, everything is a mission, tell you they don't have and when you turn around it's right there, gave me, I think which was a totally wrong price at the nursery for a plant, needless to say I left it, on reflection couldn't have been the correct price. One staff member by the outside building section was extremely helpful. I'd rather just run around and look for the what I need myself, then spend time asking as it just wastes more time. Tellers are actually all friendly.

I drove here for a kitchen tap but ended adding a power bank as well. With loadshedding, you need a back-up for some of your devices. This Lithium-Ion battery power station was R10 000 at the time. Oh this is a huge store, you bound to fibd what you are looking for 😬.

Why is my favourite store in the world losing their mojo? Are you treating your people with love and care? They are not responding in kind, they are sabotaging your business from the inside. Make them happy and you'll have happy clients again. Simple.

Cellphones should not be used on the floor by sales assistants. I was ignored until I had to asked for service, staff lack product knowledge (the one I asked ) ,the dispatch department needs to be looked into also, security personnel don't check thoroughly, I had to give back 2 items given by mistake and checked as correct by security . Cashiers that have done cash-up must move out of point of sale and provide customer service instead of just sitting there . The shop is very clean and merchandise on shelves is clean, the prices are good, environment is safe , shop is easy to locate , parking space is always available and car guards are excellent

It seems that customer service is starting to take a dive from all Builders' warehouses that we have visited with one exception in Alexandria. The staff are more often than not willing to help or even understand what you are looking for despite giving actively found descriptions and or on their website. Some staff members prefer to refer you to another department who also have no idea what they are selling or what is available in the specified isles. Don't bother asking about a specific item either, the branch at Festival mall had us waiting 3 weeks for a promise to be called back with the relevant information about an item, after visiting them 4 times during that period for the same information and still waiting until finally another branch phoned us back to notify us the item had been discontinued by the supplier. Whichever one you visit, I do hope you have a better experience.

Place has variety. Check prices charged at till points. Thank you to the one customer service manager who aided in the refund as the cashier wasn't interested when we told her that the price she rang up was more than we saw on the shelf, instead, she dissapeared for 3/5minutes to tell us there is no price on the shelf... but when we went after paying with the CS Manager there definately was prices on the shelf and the price was less on the shelf than what was charged on their systems.

We visited this store because we have been trying to find a swivel head for our kitchen sink tap. The staff were less than interested and one gave us vague instruction as to where we might find what we were looking for. Another flat out told my hubby that they had none - when I had just found what we were looking for. Not impressed with the service the staff seem to think they can get aways with!

We travel past several other Builders Warehouse branches to go to this branch, not because the staff are knowledgeable etc, but because this store seems to be one of the few branches in a 40km radius that continuously has good quantities of stock. I am not giving 5 stars for this rating because the service is better at other branches, but it is still not the worst service that I have ever received.

If you know what you looking for, quick and easy. Anything you need assistance with you going to have a lot of "fun". The worst is when trying to pick something up from dispatch. Assistance there is terrible and you wait for what feels like an eternity.

On Saturday 28th Sept 2019, my husband and I went to Builders Edenvale to purchase some items listed as "in stock" on their website. After close to an hour of extreme frustration and some pathetic attitudes from certain staff because they "couldn't find the stock", finally, Manager Marcus saved the day by assigning Salesman Thulani to us who made sure we got everything we needed. He was AWESOME, running around fetching things for us and assisting us with everything we needed. We left the store feeling that Builders truly did embrace a "customer care" attitude that day. We will definitely return - and now we know who to ask for when we get there!

Big Warehouse. Has pretty much all you need and looking for. Staff has always been friendly and helpful, this ship often has the product we cannot find elsewhere, the building side paypoint can get a bit slow and crowded. The normal paypoints are quick and the que is usually 1-2 customer in que at any given time. Specials are good and products are good. Neat and clean.
