The train station exudes a timeless charm with its elegant architecture and efficient layout, very nice. The well-maintained platforms and signage make navigation a breeze. The bustling atmosphere creates a sense of connectivity, while the cleanliness and contribute to a pleasant overall experience, but the air conditioning is way too cold. A hub where functionality meets aesthetics, this train station truly exemplifies the gateway to a journey well begun. Most importantly, they are always on time and fast. What a nice experience.

There is one fantastic guy who helped me with my card. He was spot on. The machines kept on saying “invalid card” which I think should be changed. But when I requested assistance, it was smooth and much care was taken by this guy. Just couldn’t get his name because I was rushing for a train.

My first time riding the Gautrain. Took it from the Airport to Rivonia. Security were helpful. Tickets quite pricey from Airport. But the whole trip was 30min. Stations and Trains were very clean, well lit and informative.

This was a great experience! The security is amazing, guards friendly and helpful, and the train is always clean. It is an effective way of getting to and from the airport in my experience because you skip all the highway traffic - from Sandton to Or Tambo in 15 mins or less ?! 👌🏽

I don't understand why the securities told me I can hand hold my skateboard, what exactly is the danger here🙄 Other than that it's location is convenient and everytime I have been, it's not been too busy.

It is Efficiency and reduce commute times. You can now use a bank card to pass through which I found to be a plus . The security is perfect but be very careful when you get off the bus at Sandton. It is dark and at times there are suspicious guys. Both the trains and buses are very clean outside but you can’t drink water once you check in.😢

It's always great. Station and levels are clean. Helpful staff. Bus drivers could be a little friendlier and more helpful. Buses need to be maintained as well as the information sign on the bus.

I love it, I love the dramatic huge escalators going down into the earth. I love that it has a taxi rank & busses combined. I love the old school with the ultra modern. Sandton is Afro Futurism.

Quite different from other gautrain stations.. With multiple escalators to use just to get out of the station.. And there is a system people use on the escalators.. Nice and clean though

It was great. They even wrapped our suitecases. Those guys were so good and patient. Made us save time otherwise without their help we would have missed the flight since the traffic that day on the roads was crazy.

Such a great, safe and hassle free way to get around. Spotless and clean with regular sanitizing. One lady assisted me so well that I took out some money to tip her. She kindly declined. She said it's my honor to serve you. I do get paid so you don't have to tip me. Then she added, we not allowed to take tips. I neglected to take her name, cos I could have mentioned it here. I first visited and went on the gautrain about 6 years ago. It was a marvelous and exciting experience. Everything was seriously and clean The latest visit and ride was disappointing. The staff are grumpy and unhelpful. The train itself showed signs of wear and tear and neglect, messy with the odd paper lying on the floor of the train. I feel sorry for visitors to this country meeting this sad introduction to our beautiful country. The powers that be need to get their act together, I was sad to see the deterioration

Really works for my colleagues and me. Our office is close, hotels are close and the expo is close. Catching a flight or coming into town beats the freewaysvhamds down and its probably cheaper than petrol. As good it gets anywhere. Sandton station is handy well managed and secure.

A decent station, it could be better if they would prevent meter taxis from bullying Uber drivers, and once you come out of the station, you still have to drag your massive bags to a further location (or the mall) before requesting. It’s quite an inconvenient station for public transport transition, however, it’s in a nice and central location.

It’s the Gautrain. Clean, safe and efficient. This is one of the few underground train stations in the country. Drivers offering taxicab services outside the station can sometimes be a bit annoying but on the whole this is a pleasant train station.

Scariest escalators by far. It's not safe outside though. Phones are snatched. I witnessed an incident between metered cab drivers and a Bolt driver. Only plus, the free baggage wrapping feature.

The cleanest Gautrain station I have been to! It's quite tricky to navigate though so just make sure to keep alert so that you do not get lost. I wish they had more signage.

❤️It does the job it's intended to do. The trains are situated about three floors below the entrance, so if you have a fear of heights like me, I'd suggest taken the elevators located infront of the escalators

The Sandton Station is a deep level station going down three levels deep. Free baggage wrapping service for those heading to OR Tambo Airport. Big and spacious! Ticket Vending Machines right at the entrance! Friendly Staff! Easy to navigate to the platforms and well sign posted. Reason for the four star and not five is that it’s a tad expensive from Sandton to OR Tambo Airport! It’s a R145 difference between Rhodesfield and OR Tambo Stations which is less than a five minute journey!

The best lol. The only problem I have is for people that dont use guatrain much struggle to understand the pricing or what trip payments are more affordable or better. Also, the drivers are not well informed on places that can refill guatrain cards. The securities at the doors are rude and aggressive lol, made me feel uncomfortable.

When leaving the train , I find the bus left the same time as the train came in , should be a few minutes later however there is always a bus waiting but about 12 or so minutes later . Otherwise excellent service . The busdrivers always very polite and freindly .

Quick train from Sandton to Airport. Modern similar to Heathrow Express. Normally runs every 15 minutes but public holiday every 30 minutes. New introduction is that you do not have to buy a Gauttain card. You can tab your credit card on the boom section.
