BEST ice cream ever! And the place and concept wow 🤩🤍 you NEED to give it a try.

With its sister store down the road in Sea Point, this is THE BEST ICE CREAM in Cape Town. Took my resident ice cream expert along for her exceptional tastebuds and she rates Moro ice cream in 1st Place, ahead of Kristen’s in 2nd, and Gelato Mania in 3rd. Ordering process was surprisingly clunky, slow and confusing - even though it was not busy. There are a few seats available - inside and outside (if you are lucky) VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

If you looking for authentic Italian Gelato - this is the ideal spot . Many flavours to choose from . Highly recommend the Tiramisu flavour. The viral hot chocolate as seen on TikTok and Instagram, I feel is overhyped and does not taste as good as it looks . Stick to the gelato and you can’t go wrong . It is on the pricier end of things , so it’s definitely a sweet treat to savour .

Very delicious tastes of ice cream. Marchese with dark chocolate is my favorite. They also brew good coffee. Even open during load-sheddings. Definitely recommended

This ice-cream is mouth watering. There is always a good variety of flavors, also fun to try new flavors each time you visit! Staff are friendly. Their wafer flake on the top with chocolate (either dark or milk chocolate) is always a nice touch!

this is some of the best service i've ever received. polite, friendly staff, who took out order accurately and with a confidence i've never really seen before. the ice creams were read promptly, despite the shop being busy. they appear to have a great system in place. there was a wait to get to the counter, but the queue moved consistently and at a good pace. the atmosphere is a little icky. despite having a table to sit at outside, it was full and we sort of had to hang around on the steps outside. there is an (ashtray?) for hudsons right outside that was full of cigarette butts. there is zero café feel, which was disappointing. the ice cream was perfectly acceptable, but no more than that. R161 for three ice creams (two of them small and one medium) is expensive and the ice cream didn't quite live up to the premium price. while there was a chocolate-dipped wafer served on top of the ice creams, the wafer was as cheap as they come, and the same for the ice cream cone wafer. think cheap supermarket cones with no crispiness or flavour. i didn't think it possible to find cones as bland, as even the most basic ice cream stall/truck/stand has far, far better cones. the ice cream itself was smooth and creamy and the flavour pretty darn good. but the pistachio had no nutty texture and the vanilla seemed too smooth. there could be a little more iciness that ice cream needs. ice... cream. a pleasant enough experience, but i won't be back.

Quite a little gem, so many flavours to choose from. My friend had 3 different flavours, it was really nice. The guys were very friendly and helpful. Its a must go to place in this hot summer weather 👌

Soooo good. The Marchese was our favorite. The Caramel Cookie Crumble, Tiramisu and Bacio di Dama were also delicious. Not cheap but you wouldn't expect it to be. Friendly service.

I was in cape town for my parents wedding and we stayed at the cape royale for a while right next to moro gelato and my step dad,step brother and I went to this shop almost everyday twice a day and we became friends with the employees very quickly 10/10 Best gelato i’ve ever had.Hi gary We love you
