Wonderful walking tour with Ayanda, he was very knowledgable about the streets and history of Johannesburg. Our group had lots of questions and he was able to answer each one about the history and culture of the city. The route was pretty long but that was not noticeable as we stopped frequently at historic locations around the city. It's a pretty expensive walking tour in my opinion but it was great to see Johannesburg through Ayanda's eyes. I do have to mention he was an hour late to our tour for which he apologized, however it did push my day to be much longer than I intended. I'd say plan for this to be an almost all day thing.

You can take the most mundane of things for granted while walking in the streets of Braam. This tour gives life and meaning to such, from the art on the wall to engaging with the people you meet, giving a whole new context to how connected and a community Braamfontain is. Ayanda ventures into the streets to fully immerse you in what art and culture stand for in people's lives, the paint they left on the streets and on the walls. Incredible tour. We had the pleasure of hanging out with Ayanda this past weekend on the Braamfontein Street Art & Graffiti Tour. Just seeing and experiencing street art in some shape or form at every turn was really incredible. This tour gives you insight on the art, the artists and the history of street art within Braam. Our stops at 99 Juta and the play ground market where the highlight of the tour for me. I'm so glad I got to experience the City in this way. Thanks again Ayanda x

We had a great tour of CBD, starting in Maboneng and walking through Marshalltown, Carlton centre, Gandhi Sq, and beyond, checking out cultural sights, old and new buildings, street art, book shops, and generally just getting a flavour of the inner city. Ayanda is a fantastic guide, really interesting and knowledgable; I enjoyed hearing about and chatting about history, politics, and culture of the area. The vibe was easy and relaxed. I’d highly recommend going on a tour with Ayanda if you’re in Jo’burg.

I found this place by chance when my roommate mentioned it and the lights in my head just went off because I was looking for an adventure to take my partner on and this was it. The absolute joy he experienced along with the fun we had and the things we got to see and learn about was mind blowing. Our tour guide, Ayanda was honestly a gift himself. The Griffiti and Art tour is an absolutely must do if your in Johannesburg. You will see different kinds of Griffiti arts in Braamfontein and Newtown. The guide always connects the art with the history of the city and their people so you'll have a different understanding of the city and its vibes afterwards. Loved our experience with City Skate tours! My friend and I had 0 experience with skateboarding but they gave us all the protective gear and gave us a short lesson and we quickly got the hang of it! Mike was awesome, patient, and knowledgeable. It was such a cool way to explore JoBurg. 100 percent recommend these guys for whatever tour you are interested in! They were also flexible with working with us and easy to communicate with when we had to reschedule for some rainy weather.
