The shop is always clean and smells fresh. The staff is helpful. But there's always a long wait at the money market, something needs to be done there to improve customer service.

Am currently at Addington hospital,ran out of baby wipers ,Just ordered few things online since I cannot move around ,I ordered at 10am it was delivered at 11am every is perfect .. am so happy with this service it's so convenient THANK YOU CHECKERS

The Deli Lunch was unbelievable.😋 Battered Fish. Crumbed Calamari and chips. Good. Specials clearly displayed. Wide range of baked goodies. The sourdough bread is always a must.

Very clean and well organized, not the biggest checkers you will see but it's got all the essentials you might need. I have bought here many times with no issue.

We went to order 2 platter from them . For our moms Funeral on Monday to collect on Tuesday. As we arrived they had forgotten to make it. BUT the man in charge had said he was truly sorry . He said that he would make if for us and deliver it for us as he said it's was there fault . And he did personally deliver it him himself. I unfortunately dint get his name (My mind was all over the place that day ) What great service And the platters where so nicely done and tasted amazing. I have tried to call the office to thank them personally but unfortunately no answer. But thank you for you to your amazing staff . Will definitely recommend there platters

I rate 5 Stars cause my Checkers60 comes from here, and in terms of that, best service and kind friendly drivers. Going to the store, I tend to be concerned about my safety, and it is always extremely busy. So I would take the Checkers60 route rather, if you live in the area.

Poor service from Thembeka Mkhize at the Kiosk. Who doesn't want to touch anything and expects customers to pack their own goods.

It has all you need but could do with a revamp, staff apathetic and sometimes bad attitude, a teller shouted at me the other day, yoh, for her own mistake 😳 also if you've been shopping there for years if you see certain tellers you know you need to change queus, as they are still as slow as when they started 10 years ago 😾🤭🙈one polite teller there, a young charming fellow who works the speed queue.... No interested management presence in years. Cudos to 2 elderly gentlemen who have been there for years, a madala in the butchery and a shelf packer 👏👏👏

this morning i went to Checkers in Davenport to look for a small hikers gas stove, and i found a whole shelf full of the gas cannisters but no stoves, how is it possible to keep the cannisters but not the stoves. I must note that every cannister i picked up off of the shelf was badly dented, and as far as i know dented gas cannisters are very dangerous. Another thing that i must note is that whenever one is looking for assistance there is never a floor supervisor about. I stood in the middle of the aisle shouting for help at the top of my voice and NOT one staff member came to see what was going on, so many people shop at this store something needs to be done about the customer service in the store.

Hi I bought a microwave from Checkers Devenport Square in Glenwood, Durban. When I got home I opened my new microwave only find that it was dented. I was so upset because I stay in a flat that doesn't have a elivator and I had to carry the microwave 7 flights of staircase into my flat. I also hired a cab to take a microwave home. Now that meant if I wanted to exchange the microwave, I will have to carry it back 7 flights of staircase down before I get a meter taxi (cab) from my place back to Devenport, exchange the dented one for a good one before jumping back into the cab that would have to wait for me. But yesterday I decided to go to Checkers with my proof of purchase and I spoke to a young lady by the name of Charlene Ferreira ( Assistant Manager). I explained my situation and she took my contact number down and she promised that will organise someone to exchange the microwave for me. Today I gave her a call at about 12h30pm just to remind her, and she said I must come to the shop, where we inspected the other mirowave with the help of Mr Theo Victor we were all certified and she went looking for a trollley and Mr Victor wheeled the microwave to the Charlene's car and she drove me home with my microwave. We got to my flat Mr Theo Victor carried the microwave 7 flights of staircase into my flat. I felt like a king, I felt so blessed and I am just short of words to thank Charlene for getting out of her way to make sure that the customer is happy and certisfied. I LOVE MY DEVENPORT CHECKERS
