Should mention this is a very convenient store I love it. Just a pointer though some tellers have an attitude Decide Ndlovu. I'm mentioning her directly because it's a recent incident that has pushed me to write this but overall Checkers Silver lakes is still the best

Overall, it was a good shopping experience. I did not give it a 5 star review due to all the staff and trolleys collecting items for Checkers 60 sixty standing in the way, and not giving in store shoppers any space.

Ever been to Checkers? Well, this was just like that. Irritating, because they've stopped stocking sugar-free sweets and cookies, so I dropped my trolley and walked. They've tried the fancy-schmancy upmarket schtick. Spending a lot of money trying to get me to spend a lot of money, but abandoning the basics, and not re-motivating to staff to up their game, too. Fatal SA error!

All seems well, but the side where they have prepared food like chicken etc. They must change their menu, you find fried chicken , baked chicken, chicken stew and chicken strips and cooked chicken , they can be improved by adding variety.

This is my local supermarket, always pleased with their offerings and specials. It's very rare that they don't have what we need.

In a convenient location, has most items and some diy items, has a good pharmacy. Store needs a revamp however, and staff can often be a little rude.

The store has always been an alternative to my favorite supermarket chain stores but on recently I went to the store and wanted to buy fresh fish but was very put off by the smell coming out of the Butchery and the flies on the fish I came for,I was disappointed really and ended up not purchasing the one thing I got there to buy,but they had bakery so inviting and appetizing.

Someone sent Me money via Shoprite and I never knew that you can withdraw the money at Checkers(people said it’s impossible)…..Friendly service!

On the occasion when I do shopping, I find the shop quite busy, not many staff on the floor to ask for assistance to help where to find products and not to walk up and down the shelves with a crutch and a trollie.

Good day, I would like to bring special actions towards me as a customer to your attention. Yesterday (01/06) I was in Checkers quickly for the first time (slip GAU/039695) I paid with one card and withdrew cash with another. With all the cards and this-and-that, I walked out without taking my Visa card with me. In the parking lot I was already in reverse to drive out when someone urgently knocked on my window (first thought - Hijacker!). It was an out of breath Lebongang Malange who ran after me to return my card to me. I was too breathless and surprised to offer her something special, but I believe Checkers' management will take note and once again convey my thanks and appreciation to her. Elsa vZ Smit
