I had an incredible experience at The Wine Glass! The service was absolutely top-notch—attentive friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed evening for fine dinning. The food was excellent, especially the zucchini fries—crispy, flavourful, and paired wonderfully with the wine. Speaking of wine, I did the Chenin Blanc Premium and Premium Chardonnay tastings, and they were both outstanding! The wines were served at perfect conditions and showcased the variety and richness of Stellenbosch's wine region. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and food were all amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and a fantastic wine-tasting experience in Stellenbosch. Can't wait to return!

Not entirely sure why, but the service wasn't that great when I visited. Our waitron could never remember what was ordered, even after he had jotted everything down on his pad. They also seated our party of 12 at separate tables, which wasn't what we had requested seeing as it was a Birthday dinner. At the end of it all, we landed up in a private room which was pretty cool. And the food was really good too. Bit pricey, so be prepared to pay. But it is worth it from a taste and satisfaction perspective.

From the outside this restaurant seems to be small however do a reservation and be surprised when seated on the inside. The restaurant also houses two private dining rooms seating up to 10 people and a good selection of Cape wines. Parking is not a big issue with ample car guards around if that makes you feel better. Done a reservation for two for 8PM and the restaurant was still busy with people laughing and the smell of food being prepared. We had Beef Ragu and Aubergine Rollatini, the food presentation and taste was great and excellent service from Elke the waitress which was very firmiluar with the menu and wines. The menu does not have an overwhelming amount of options, but still has a nice variety of dishes from pastas, meat, fish and desserts. Pricing is very competitive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm, homey and welcoming. I will defiantly be returning.

We have been dining at quite a few places in Stellenbosch for the last year and The Wine Glas remains in our top 3, so much so that we end up here at least twice a month. The waiters are incredibly friendly and the manager, Greg, makes us feel right at home every time we come around. A dish you HAVE TO try is Linefish Oriental - you won’t be disappointed!

We like the concept and have visited a few times. However, lately the service has disappointed. Compared to other offerings in Stellenbosch the food is not great value for money.

Service was good. Food was delicious You could notice they just opened and had to learn. But that will get better in time

A fantastic experience. Food was delicious, we had the Patatas Bravas and the Vietnamese Spring Rolls. These Patatas Bravas were up there with the nicest I've ever had, so good and a good serving. For main I had the Chicken Piccata and my Partner had the Prawns. Both were lovely. We finished with the dessert wine tasting platter, our server Kevin was incredibly patient and helpful when explaining the wines. Would highly recommend. Best meal we had in Stellenbosch.

Hosted an event here with 45 people in the Garden in January (2023) and had a fantastic evening. Great food, attentive, wonderful staff and a great wine and cocktail selection. Returned for dinner a few nights later and really enjoyed it again. Good food and good cocktails (not to mention a very impressive wine list). High recommend the team here.

A good place to get a good wine tasting for a great price. They boast a wide selection of different styles and varieties of wine from a fairly expansive list of farms. Being in South Africa the Pinotage 'flight' is my suggestion. The food was tasty and the service staff friendly and accomodating. We had a grand time.

Had such a great experience. Every time I come here I am amazed by the service. The menu has a wide variety of wine options from local wineries, which was appreciated in support of spending local . Our waiter, Aphiwe, added so much to the great experience.

I had a very pleasant wine tasting experience here. The welcoming was very warming and besides having tables reserved they still had a quite a few spots to choose from I love the fact that you get left to just enjoy the wines without being disturbed with unnecessary info as most wine farms do I will definitely go back to try some of the food

Relaxed sophistication. Great lunch spot - in love with their grilled chicken salad. Vibey dinners with quality wines and perfect portions. Always fast and friendly service. Now they have an indoor fireplace too!!! Only thing, maybe short of staff or stretched too thin, or maybe because I last visited on a Sunday late-afternoon: The space needs to be cleaner. Flies are a big no-no for me. Also - Wish they had more desert options!

The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait long for it, the service was extremely friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Great value for money. We liked it so much that we ate there a second time.

You have to be honest: the ambience of this restaurant is really nice. Effort has been made and it is a cozy atmosphere. I ordered two starters and I have to say that I wasn't particularly impressed with the taste. The feta cheese was very bland. Then I had a meat starter. This starter didn't taste particularly good either and I had to add a lot of salt to it. The service was tried hard, but relatively slow. The huge wine selection is great. It's more than impressive.

Super friendly waiter who gave us the best advice Wine. We were very hungry and accordingly the starters were delivered quickly. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we got a spot straight away. Casual and relaxed, a perfect place to taste more wine after a day of wine tasting.
