Love this restaurant. So cozy and staff are very warm and welcoming. Selva is my daily stop for my morning cuppa. They have great specials and the quality of their food is just great 👍 been there countless times and never been disappointed

This beautiful fully halal restaurant in Harfield village. Amazing food, very friendly service with a peaceful garden area to enjoy your meal.

We were hungry and decided to pop by this Cafe as we heard it's halaal. What a lovely Cafe. Seating inside and outside. Staff were friendly and food was so good. Had the "Hangry Eggs Benedict" with extras. Portion was filling and it was very tasty. We opted to sit outside and although they were busy our Order didn't take long. Street parking. Will def be back.

Cosy Cafe with a decent but not extensive menu. Had the Selva breakfast ..good omelet. Only negative was that the Macon is made with beef and not described as such in the menu.

It was good. The overall atmosphere. The food The waiters. The waiting time The surrounding noises etc. It's all lovely. My only issues were the berry smoothie wasn't nice at all. Wasn't blended fully and the toasted sandwiches heat made the sandwich soft instead of crunchy. Given the Plate type I could see why but otherwise I would say this is a place I will come again without a second thought. I rarely say this but it's a full on must try spot. Even if you not close but want to have a good meal then come here.

I enjoyed my breakfast (chicken mayo, cheese and chilli toastie) but my husband didn't quite get what he asked for as to how he likes his eggs done on the eggs florentine. Also, we went on a Saturday morning and there was lots of things out of stock. They may just have been waiting for supplies that were running late but I would think that Saturday morning is a peak time and everything should be in stock. The waitress (Olivia) was lovely though and the setting is absolutely beautiful ❤️

A quaint dining experience, surprisingly busy for a Friday morning. The food was delicious, I do think the fries were frozen though and the plants exsesive and this coming from an avid fruit tree gardener who also loves greenery, my main concern was the music playing in the restaurant, I would prefer eating halaal food without music, but definitely one of the best halaal eating places in Cape Town overall.

My first time at Selva, and it was a really good experience. It's a very relaxed vibe, great atmosphere, sitting amongst all the beautiful greenery (that's also for sale). We had brunch. It is a small but hearty menu, perfect for breakfast or lunch. The coffee was perfect (Tribe coffee!!) The omlette was great. Their toasted tuna sandwich was a bit lacking of flavour and the portion of chips was small, it should be atleast double the amount. Overall it was a really good experience and I will definitely be back. And, yes they are fully halaal as well.

Slow hour, so service was fast. Wife loved the chicken salad, especially the roasted veg. Common issue I have with many restaurants is the salt grinder. Lumpy salt seems the order of the day ... everywhere. Is fine salt out of fashion? Eating indoors with a feeling of being in a kinda nursery is cool. Think they should name all the plants to add interest. Look forward to my next visit. And still visiting. 🤩

The food was good, I had eggs benedict which were very tasty, unfortunately the coffee was horrible. Simultaneously lukewarm, bitter and weak. Seems like the espresso machine missed it's daily cleaning. The waitress kindly made another one very quickly, which was an improvement. However, I was not asked how I wanted my poached eggs, which arrived hard, instead of the medium hardness which I would have preferred.

Such a gorgeous cafe with great food, excellent service and the vibe was just lekker. There are plants everywhere, we were helped almost immediately. They have wifi so if you're looking for a chilled spot to work from remotely while you enjoy lovely cuisine, this is definitely the place to go.The staff are sooo friendly. Also, breakfast all day? Strickly Halaal, massive massive bonus, Service was a small bit slow, but that allowed you to sit and relax a bit longer, Owner a great guy and made sure everything was in order and checked in, which was great, made new friends at the Resturant, so awesome experience. My crossaint came after my tea was completed, but I took it home, but I loved the vibe and the atmosphere and the crossaint with my breakfast did not arrive, but it was slightly busy at the time. I would personally say, do add another small amount of beans and mushrooms. It's a little under the marker for me, but loved the food and will return again,

Awesome local spot! If you get the chance to go on a Sunday and try their koeksisters then please do. They also have amazing coffees and great food options. The place is also fully Halaal so it caters to everyone! Their 5 stars are well deserved!

Visited Selva, a quaint fully Halaal eatery in Harfield Village on the 29 December for breakfast with no expectations as I had not heard about it from friends or seen any hype to visit. In true family style we booked a table of 23 and ordered a variety of drinks and food from the menu. The table service from Hishaam (owner) and Ilhaam was impeccable. Waseema (owner) performs the magic in the kitchen and every morsel savoured left us talking about returning soon to try other options. We left sated and impressed with the portion sizes. Needless to say I have returned several times already, always guaranteed to enjoy the food, service and greenery (did I mention that the plants are for sale?). Before I finish let me say my husband is a baked cheesecake connoisseur of sorts and I surprised him with a slice from Selva...I scored major brownie points 😉 so this is me telling you to walk,run or drive to visit this gem and support!

Cosy venue with good breakfast options. Wife has a sweet tooth so we added light and fluffy koeksisters and an almond croissant to our order of Eggs Benedict and a Selva breakfast. Finally some Chai Latte and a fresh orange juice to wash it down. Needless to say we skipped lunch for the day. Staff are warm and friendly too.

I enjoyed going there with my family we enjoyed the nice breakfast just the food was cold and it was a raining on the day the place was also cold the service was not that graite they must put more bread on the plate because the egg is so little, but I will certainly go there again in the summer

Quaint, well-positioned, and welcoming, this little spot is worth a visit. Whether it’s just coffee (.best flat white) or a light meal, you’ll enjoy the food and excellent service. Oh, and maybe pick up a plant while you’re there. They have some beauties.

If you are in the Harfield area this is a quaint little coffee shop to pop in for a bite or some quality coffee. The interior is covered in plants and there is comfortable seating indoors and outdoors. Dog friendly and friendly staff.
