The service was quite nice. The salmon Crudo’s bread wasn’t crispy and was tough, but overall the taste was nice. But most of the food was on the salty side, main tasted ok but it just didn’t have the wow factor in the food.

A This is a cute spot in sea point they have great price for a 3 course meal. They have a limited menu but an extensive wine menu, no cocktails though😥. The waiter was not the best if I'm being honest I even felt like reducing the tip but I didn't😬. I would say it's a cute place for a date or something intimate.

The food was picture perfect and really delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly. The set menu for restaurant week is a winner and the same is advertised on the outside of the restaurant as well. Very happy we went.

This bistro-style restaurant has soft lighting (during the evening) and a musician serenading you with music while you enjoy your dinner. As someone who loves to eat, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (courtesy of Wikideals). The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing, really allowing for you to enjoy the winter menu. Were it not for the vouchers, I would have thought the restaurant a bit pricy - with that being said, the food was value for money. I had a wonderful time with decent drinks, and was served by an enthusiastic waitress who made sure we were looked after. There was some inconsistencies with the food and drinks but I still had a great time. On a negative note: the bathroom is literally next to the kitchen ... The 3-course meal consisted of: (1) Starters - paprika squid and beef koftas. The squid was scrumptious! I wish they had this as an option as a main because that starter really only whets your appetite. As someone who prefers well done meat, I was surprised when my beef koftas was pink in the centre. Didn't enjoy that too much but at least it had a nice sauce to accompany the meatballs. (2) Mains: pepper crusted beef sirloin, pork belly and pulled oxtail. The pepper crusted beef sirloin was soft and moist, and the Syrah jus was just the perfect pairing for the steak. I absolutely love pork and could not stop telling everyone how delicious the twice cooked pork belly was. Not a fan of sweet potato but the mash was surprisingly good, just the chef went a bit overboard with the spring onions (you want some mash with your spring onion - although it masked the sweet potato flavour). Gnocchi was soft and pillowy but I couldn't really taste the parmesan, it might have been too delicate for the robust flavours of the melt-in-your-mouth oxtail braised in red wine. (3) Dessert: Crème brulee. I am obsessed with this dessert and they did not disappoint! The custard was rich and decadent, and the perfect way to close the night off on a sweet note.

We really had a great time at La Boheme. Cozy feel on the main road in sea point. They have an extensive beautifully crafted menu with plenty vegetarian meal as well. They had great specials on their tapas as well as a 3-course meal. Everything tasted amazing and fresh. We got to try dishes we haven't had before which was a treat thanks to the variety of their menu. I would definitely recommend La Boheme, lunch or Dinner you won't regret it.

My husband and I have eaten here a couple of times during our stay in Cape Town and on both occasions were very impressed with quality of the food and service. We were fortunate to be looked after by a very attentive waitress called Vaitah. Thank you Vaitah for looking after us so well!

They must have been having an off day as the kitchen was horribly delayed and we waited over an hour for starters. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal but my partners starters were cold and the main average. Expected better service considering the manager was our waiter. Only found this out at the end of the evening tho. I'm sure on a good day when they aren't under staffed and the kitchen isn't delayed it would be a very enjoyable dining experience.

LA Boheme drew us into their space on a dreary, cold, Monday night during Loadshedding with their bright lights and welcoming staff. Everyone in our party of six enjoyed our hearty meals and exceptional, knowledgeable and attentive service by Brian. 10 stars to him. We also noticed just how interactive and friendly the Chef was, serving some tables with their meals too. Live guitarist playing in the background added to the atmosphere. Music was a bit loud for me, however. The guitar on it's own without an amplifier and speakers would've been preferable. Definitely a spot to return to soon!

An absolutely amazing experience. The atmosphere is warm and cheerful. Waitrons are friendly and professional. To Chef Siraj and his team well-done on the wonderful dishes prepared for us. If you are in Cape Town, you have to go to this place. Seriously the best food I have ever had. We went two days in a row so we could try as many of their dishes as possible before we went home. I still day dream about their food.

In general the meal was great. The regional dishes should be assumed to be inspired by, but only partially resemble, their namesakes. The char sui pork ribs were great, but in no way resembled the traditional Chinese dish. The Cajun sardines were delicious, but were only dusted with some cayenne as far as I could tell. I would suggest avoiding the cassoulet side dish, the chourico is local and not a patch on the real thing (though hard to expect more for R35). That said, the food was still a pleasure and we'll matched to the price.

Standards have slipped from the restaurant I used to know: service and food. It seems that wait staff are poorly trained/hired as they aren't getting some of the basics right: knowing the menu, being attentive and conveying enthusiasm for where they work & what they do. That said, prices remain reasonable.

A huge selection of tapas. We particularly enjoyed the slow cooked duck croquettes and the burrata. The service is super attentive. The only downside: you're not allowed to smoke on the terrace... Otherwise, highly recommended.

A bit inconspicuous from the outside. Who would have thought that such a treat awaited you behind lowered plastic walls!? Apparently an insider tip. We each chose two dishes from the tapas...delicious! The main courses at the neighboring tables also looked excellent. And the price... unbeatable for such delicious food. The service was very courteous and friendly. We would love to come back here!
