I think it was a bad night for them… ordered bottle Merlot and waiter returned said sold out. Then ordered pork belly and waiter returned said sold out and last one not so good… at least they being honest. Ordered fillet medium rare and it did come perfectly cooked but the cut has senew making it tough to cut as it wasn't trimmed properly. My other friends had other dishes and they are average. For an atmosphere and great place in Wellington dining, I would expecf more. Service is great and atmosphere is tranquil… but blown by avg mediocre food. This is my first 3 star food rating ever… sorry

So where do we start! Friendly staff and a great atmosphere, with a beautiful view of the mountains! We had their lunch menu and every single item was delicious. We shared the starters to taste the variety; mozzarella & pesto, haloumi cheese, smokey beef taco, & chicken dim sum, everything was amazing! Main: beef Rump steak was soo good! Desert..yummy! Great Diemersfontein wine to go with it! Would definitely recommend is a must try! Small kids play area as well

What an absolute hidden GEM!! The food is delicious and such a wide variety of food for all dietary requirements. I'm vegetarian and as many of us would know, very rarely do we actually get more than one option on a menu to choose from, let alone that it be something interesting or tasty. Both me and my husband were blown away by the food and OH MY GOODNESS the flavours!! There are so many starters/tapas to choose from, as well as mains. The wines are very well priced (from the estate itself) and the dessert?? DELISH! Would definitely recommend Hope at Diemersfontein. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. A BIG thanks to the chef and team!

We were a party of 7 that ordered 5 different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the summer menu which was delicious and flavourful and value for money. Highly recommend.
