Very decent dinner restaurant highly recommend 👌🏼

Coming into ocean basket the parking is a bit shallow. The building is a joined building so you will see customers from the other restaurant. Seating is great with plenty of space to move around. The tables do not have the usual plastic covering but a disposable paper if you are a bit messy. Order was placed within a few minutes, where we ordered the platter for 2 and the nederburg wine. Waiting took more or less 15 minutes. Fish was fried to perfection. Chips was crispy brown, and rice was a golden yellow. Prawns were clean thoroughly and tasted amazing. The rest of the dish was delicious. We ate lemon pieces before drinking the wine, giving a bitter sweatness to the wine. Would recommend this establishment to anyone visiting potchefstroom.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff! Had med prawn salad - give it a skip, unless you consider chopped tomatoes and a few lost pieces of red onion a salad. The other dishes (prawns, platters and kingklip) was much better!

Indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating has a nice water system that mists the area as if you were at the ocean. This not only enchances the atmosphere and gives you a healthy glow, but also cools you down in the summer months. For insects in the night they also have a bug zapper, which keeps cleanliness to an optimum and is also strategically hidden as to not be unsightly

A pity it's not the same as it used to be, but we have an understanding with lockdown it does put strain on all businesses. We could not get what we wanted because of timeframes, but yet they did manage to pull a rabbit out the hat to feed our craving for Sushi that late at night. But service with a smile and a plan of action, always a good sign. Thank you OB Potch, we enjoyed every last grain of rice 😊😎

I always go to oceansbasket in potchefstroom not other branch( other branch is not like here). Always well cooked seafood(sometimes a bit too salty) but lovely service Waitress(I can't remember her name) she is always so friendly and knows how to serve. But owner always looks angry maybe so stressed sth.
