Great location. Delicious taste and marinades. Good, friendly staff. Chips are 100%!!! Decor great. Air-conditioned and comfy. BUT...😐 Prawn Platter and Chicken Skewers both overcooked, tough and chewy, despite a request for them to be cooked medium and juicy. Chicken skewers a bit burned. Had only three candles in whole restaurant and all were used so we did not get one - the place is literally full of flies on a hot day.

Awesome Atmosphere. Divine Dishes. Friendly & Polite Staff. Irshaad really knows how to treat his patrons. Masha'allah. Love the Family Platters, real value for money. This place is suited for big gatherings & get togethers.

Good food . Good service The steak needs to go little less on the sugar infested sauce. Been there twice in 1 month this year. Atmosphere??? A cry box is required of people come with kids that want to exercise their vocal chords indiscriminately. Or people can just train their kids.

The food is amazing! Huge portions. Totally getting what you pay for. I did however feel rushed as we arrived about an hour before they closed and they were taking our drinks etc before we could finish them. Overall the food quality is amazing, I think that they need to work on their service. Would highly recommend.

Sunkist will forever be at the top of my list of great places to eat in durban, Their chicken is always grilled to perfection, moist and flavourful. Unlike most restaurants most of their meals are served with chips rice and veggies and at very affordable prices!!! Veggies consist of Genlm Squash, pumpkin and sweetpotatoe a real winner even if youre not a veggie person!!! And something you can never get enough of is their cheesy garlic roll....its exactly that cheesy just the way we all like it!! 🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽

The food was delicious. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 children and we ordered the All Aboard Family platter that had fish meat and chicken along with rice, chips and veggies. The prawns and the chicken were MOUTH-WATERING. Everything was fresh. It was just an all round amazing culinary experience. Definitely a must when in Durban. And such a bonus that it is halal. 🤗

Waiters are good, decor gives you a nice feel and toilets are kept clean. The steak is the best I have ever had (take a look at the number of reviews I have had). All the food was beyond expectation. The prices are bit more than expected but I do believe you will be satisfied. I haven't enjoyed a place like this in a long while. Well done Sunkist.

The food was really tasty. My dad tried the steak and he really enjoyed it. The prawn curry which I tried was quite tasty as well. The food really is amazing however I was a little disappointed with the service. It wasn't that busy when we arrived so the food came quite quickly but then the forgot about our one dish and when the place got packed a few minutes later whey were really unorganized and our waiter didn't pitch up again and we waited a really long time before it came and also the order got mixed up and it was weird. But anyways the food and bib was nice so it fine. Hopefully when I go back we'll have a better experience.

Appetizing food and great service from the waitress and management. The house and interior is welcoming. The food was really good. Portion sizes are big, the half chicken was quite big and tasted delicious. Kebabs were fantastic and the steak was good too, but I would not order the steak from here as it is not their speciality. Only problem was the flies in the outside verranda. Food 9/10 Service 10/10 Flies -10/10 Jzk khair for the wonderful service and food!

This restaurant has lost the plot. Tauted as a "Mozambican / Portuguese " influenced restaurant I have always visited expecting seriously good spicy food. Last night we bought several starters, risoles, springrolls, chicken livers, cheesy garlic rolls and jugs of Sunkist special cocktails. These were decent fresh and tasty. Nothing exceptional. We ordered 3 x half family platters at R550 per pop. Strict instructions were given that I wanted peri peri prawns... Nice and spicy.... but I also asked if the chef could baste the prawns on the griddle with the peri peri sauce. If needed be I could explain my request directly to the chef... the waiter assured me that he could ensure that my request was met. The platters arrived with barely cooked fries... no salt nor any salt on the table. The prawns were basted with what looked like a vinegar, spiced sauce with food colouring. Devoid of salt as well and with zero kick in it that even the two young white young men in our party complained that there was little spicing to add any real flavour or pungency. The chicken was well cooked, but lacked salt nor was there salt on the table. I called for the manager who seemed foreign and all he kept saying was that he was sorry.... then confessed that they ran out of the real sauce. He suggested he bring us another batch and would asked them to add more red chillies. This arrived after 5 minutes but was the same sauce with perhaps another half a teaspoon of red chillies chucked in, stirred and delivered. It was useless, by now all the food was getting cold and frankly the moment was lost. We asked for the owner and were being given the run around until I demanded the owners contact number... and low and behold he appeared 5 minutes later. After explaining the situation he apologised and apologised and apologised .... just like his manager and when asked why his food lacked the peri peri... he simply suggested he was a family restaurant... and that perhaps another restaurant would serve a spicier version. We literally packed half of what we ordered... none in our party of 9 wanted to even consider the desserts. To add insult we were charged for 3 x sauce R15 extra. I queried it with the waiter who insisted it was right. I queried it with a manager and he said it was wrong but i had already paid the bill and refused to discuss it further. I paid it, knowing in my heart that the deeply religious looking owner had just concluded a transaction that was totally unethical.

Hello lovely people guess you are reading this review to see what's best to eat. The 1st best of the best is their chicken. 2nd is the skewers kebaab steak and chicken. 3rd fish 4th prawns. These were the most lovely items ranked in my opinion. Salalah facilities. Clean washroom. Excellent place would definitely recommend.

The food is always good however, better seating options are required. The new benches are tight and uncomfortable to get in and out off. Furthermore, very little leg room leaves no space for a child to sit on your lap or even to cross your legs. It gets very hot and stuffy inside when busy.
