Wow. Wow. Wow. The best meal ever at an Ocean Basket. The waitress, Nomvula, was friendly and very professional. Our food came exactly as we ordered. The fish and chips crispy and very hot. The service was efficient and effective. We will definitely recommend this place. Thank you. We enjoyed ourselves.

We had a great evening with the family. Food was exceptional, service was impeccable thanks to Sne our waitress. Oh and that watermelon and cucumber chiller😭 can I get a JoJo tank of that drink please!! It was soooo good

Although it was very busy the waiters are on the ball and still manage a smile on their faces. Food was on point, hot and delicious. The wait was not ling for food even though they were really busy. Seems they have found a good formula in keeping the balance right. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The food is excellent. Some waiters (e.g. Sam) are very good and service is good. My only complaint is that the furniture is old and outdated, needs a revamp. The chairs are sunken in and I need to take a pillow with to sit on because of a back problem.Ladies oilets were not cleaned. Need attention as I had problem a while back as well. Mens toilet was fine.

The bathroom door doesn't have a lock on, the dishes smelled like fish. We enjoyed the food and the waiter was accomodating which we appreciated. However we won't be going back soon unfortunately due to the area. Beggers on all sides. We just didn't feel safe.

Lovely fresh seafood at a fab price with decent large servings! The service here was top notch, made for the perfect Sunday evening meal after a walk along the beach. Really enjoyed it. Our server was very attentive.

The food was amazing. I had the hake and my parents had the kinglip. The waiter was extremely friendly. She joked around with us and took a liking to my brother because he had a lukaku tshirt so she said shes from that country. The service was also great, it didn't take long to get our food. Definitely going back.

Everything was fresh and tasty, the new sushi platters are out of this world. The service is good, room for a little improvement. One huge disappointment, That is the mussels sauce has being changed, I love the old oringinal garlic sauce, plz bring it back. Thank u kindly.

This place was my go to place for seafood dining but after this visit I wouldn't have this on my go to list anymore. The restaurant was pretty busy due to it been a long weekend. The food took a bit long which was understandable but the food was not up to quality. The calamari was rubbery and the prawns looked like it was stale (sticking to shell). The baby squid heads was served cold on platter. Lastly the prices are gone very expensive and it does not match up with the quality & service. Very dissatisfied and disappointing. 😒. Hope this establishment improves.

The place is one of the best restaurants I have ever been. The fish was well cooked but the chips in the platter did not have enough seasoning. The Sushi looked lovely. The setting is cool and gives it a quality restaurant.

Always a treat. I drive a hundred 100km to come to this particular OB. They don't serve alcohol which is fine for me they have the most amazing frozen moctails. Food quality is always outstanding!

I recommend anybody who likes fish to visit this place. I liked the location very much. Its right at the beach. The house is so light and the view is cool. Got a good parking space. So far its one of the best places to eat fish that I have visited in South beach.

Fresh seafood at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the prawns and calamari, either fried or grilled both are delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. This restaurant has a great view if the street for people watching if you choose.

Given that we'd picked the day the aircons had packed in, we enjoyed our meal. The manager had installed fans which helped, and the service, despite the heat, was great.

Service was excellent however we ordered sushi and was very disappointed. The sushi chef is in need of training. Sushi rolls were loose, sashimi looked as if it was hacked and nigiri was poorly made. Cannot comment on cooked food

Ocean basket is an excellent sea food restaurant brand, but quality of service and facilities seem to be more relaxed by coastal resorts for most brands, as the target market is generally tourists who are having fun. Food is still good though

Prawn special that's not so special. Over time have seen a drop in a good meal. Certain sauces no longer kept eg. Chilli sauce. Service average. Manager never came by to check. For me this tells alot. Reluctant to go back. This a different ve between owner manager run business and nin owner manager

This is my favorite place to take family for seafood.Its perfect for the whole family as they have a great kids menu and wide selection of seafood.The service is always great and if you sit near the window you will be able to see the ocean.Would definitely recommend after the beach.

A wonderful place, not in the walkway, but on the other side of the road The food is amazing, the service is excellent, and the prices are quite nice. I recommend the shrimp dish with rice and potatoes, and the oyster dish with creamy lemon sauce, which is amazing... As for the banana drink with milk, it was the best thing about it.

The restaurant belongs to a well-known chain, but... Starting with the location. Located next to the ocean, but not overlooking it. A glass cafe, it’s very cold inside because of the air conditioning, and the closed veranda is stuffy. The restaurant is halal, so forget about beer and wine. In addition, the oysters were very small. A tale of lost time. Yes and money.
