Maha means "The Great" What I can certainly say is that you will have a "Maha" wait. 7 mins for a table and 1 hour for meals Fortunately there was good company we went with but the wait for a simple meal was far too long. Prices are higher end with simplistic meals. Probably a concept venue . Meals were great tasting and they did compensate us with a round of drinks on the house without requesting which was nice. Our waitress Gugu was awesome, polite and well knowledgeable. Possibly not a place likely to return to . I feel the meals are overpriced for its simplicity and plating. Even my iced latte and wife's iced Chai latte was half a glass. Setting is great with lovely views. Wonderful service from waitress

Chilled Cafe vibes. Cute decor. Great for a coffee but weren't a fan of the food. Might be to others liking but found it bland but milkshakes, drinks and coffees are good. Small space not for big parties and no kiddies menu or baby seats. Parking on the road outside the building.

We had breakfast at Maha Cafe and absolutely loved it! The Dirty Eggy Bread was life changing, and so was the coffee. Service was prompt and friendly, and we would definitely recommend a visit to Maha.

The venue has a nice feel to it, so close to the harbour. The service was great, food offering and menu extremely interesting and so happy to see someone offering out of the norm. We enjoyed our meal, portions ample and dessert tasty. Well priced also.

We've cycled past this cafe a couple of times and I've been thinking about trying some breakfast. Today was the perfect day for it, and boy was it a pleasant surprise. They have some good coffee options. And the breakfast menu is available till 11:30. On the breakfast menu there are some unique options and what we tried was really excellent. But the real treat comes from the fresh options at the counter. A macadamia caramel cheese cake, or some lemon and blueberry cake. Perhaps a delicious lamb and butternut pie, which we also tried, all excellent. Staff are friendly, prices are good. Portions are fine. I'm definitely coming back for more.

Outstanding food! Went for breakfast, 3 of us shared 3 different meals. My absolute favourite was the Zucchini pancakes. Vegans will be in heaven. One of the better cappuccino and iced coffees in Durban. Beautiful setting at the very end of Point rd. Do yourself a favour and go treat yourself!

A beautiful experience. Deliciously simple food. I loved the tea and pastries. A lovely and lively mix of cultures and ages. Besides the only draw back of the sun causing slight discomfort, a otherwise great way to enjoy a Sunday morning.

Love this place! It's a hidden little gem but once you've discovered it and tasted their great food and lovely cappicino, you'll be back for more. Their food is made with passion...one can see it and taste it. Also loving the decor and music! Highly recommended! 👍

Our friend-group ended our walk at Mahā. It was quite busy, all things considered. With all the voices, I just heard "chicken" when enquiring about a pie. So hubby and I ordered one of those and a pork sausage roll. When we got our order there were 2 of the same - the sausage roll. I was initially a little upset but couldn't go back because we'd both already taken a bite when we noticed. I then found out that the other pie was in fact "chicken curry" - not my favourite! So in hindsight, the accidental switch was a good thing. My angel must have been watching 😇. And I must say ... The pastry! Oh.my.word! Such pastry! Wrapped snuggly around a hearty portion of pork meat ... definitely the best I've had yet! Thank you 🥰😘

A really cute and vibrant Café with a great view and a great set up, however the food wasn't the best tasting, and was received cold. Also a stench was in the air and wasn't very appealing. Really liked this place for the pictures.

Maha is the best place in Durban central for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The meals prepared by award winning chef Charli are phenomenal. The pork belly is a must and the bacon and cheese croissant... out of this world. This is a hidden little gem in a gorgeous location and a place that cant be missed when visiting KZN. And to locals, if you havnt found Maha yet, you are missing out.
