Reviews of Crazy Korean Kloof
Kraft Korean is one of the best restaurants we’ve found in the area. My family loves the sticky chicken and the jujube tea is delicious! 🤤 the staff and owner is so friendly and hospitable! We have been many times now and will recommend it to anyone!
Absolutely loved it!
Full Korean experience from Soju to Tteokbokki. The food and atmosphere was great, 10/10 would recommend!
Watch out for the Soju, it has quiet a kick!
The owner was wonderful, he made huge efforts to introduce us to the food and the best ways to enjoy it. It’s a great experience to sit in the restaurant, try speak some Korean, and enjoy good food.
I bought sticky chicken from this place and I was quite disappointed because I was expecting korean sticky chicken (actual chicken pieces in a nice ginger/soy korean sauce). What I got was your typical chinese takeout sesame chicken. The sasame chicken was not bad but I would not have paid over R190 for it if I had known because it was pretty basic. So this specific dish did not scream authetic korean flavours to me, maybe I just made a bad choice.
Spicy pork and rice was quite nice.
I have been going to the Crazy Korean restaurant since it was in Umhlanga by the beach. KJ has always been so welcoming and friendly, always talkative and sharing knowledge on Korea and delivering the best food that you can tell me made with love and utmost respect for the cuisine. If I could be stuck with one food on an island it would be the Kimchi stew from the Crazy Korean.
I had driven past and saw the sign of this establishment. Read up some reviews and thought we should try it out.
No regrets at all. The owner (Lee) was hands-on, and my wife, who is a bit of a foodie and having traveled to the east before, ask questions about the food and the different tastes.
Lee made some suggestions, as well as brought a taster of one of the more exotic Korean meals for my wife to taste. Deliciously different.
The little authentic ice cream shop within the shop, has a great selection as well as VEGAN ice cream.
All in all fantastic.
And the 5th 🌟- well Lee, is very good at explaining and guiding the customers to identify what they customers might enjoy.
Amazing place, and authentic in character and flavour. Ordered sticky chicken (most people’s favourite), spicy pork and bbq steak with noodles and rice. All delish and same praise came from the family who shared in the meal. Well done mate - deserves to be one of the best in the area.
A semi-service restaurant with fantastic food. I'm honestly in here more often than I'd like to admit.
Sticky Chicken is really tasty and the quickest meal to receive, that said if you've got some time the Spicy Chicken, Spicy Pork and Marinated Beef are as good with the addition of veggies and glass noodles in the mix for a bit more balance. You can have the protein part only or can have it with a starch like plain rice, egg fried rice or noodles.
One thing I will not leave without is the spicy rice cakes (tteokbokki) and some pickled yellow radish.
Friendly staff and food was delicious. First time eating there and we will definitely go back to try other meals
Delicious food and great service! Sticky chicken for the win 😁
I ordered the food on uber eats. It was just a meal.
Came in to have lunch with friends, we were welcomed by smiling faces and pleasant greetings. Definitely a place I am going to eat at again ! The food was delicious, so excited that you opened up in my area, I’m going to be a regular customer.
Host is amazing and the food matches it
It's taken me 4 months to actually get to the Kloof branch but it was frikkin awesome. Thank you Young-woo for your friendly and helpful service. The Sticky Chicken with noodles was amazing!!
Honestly, it is one of my favourite places to eat or get food from. Everything is absolutely delicious and the staff are always wonderful.
Food is amazing. Owner is extremely welcoming and is so passionate about the food as well. Absolutely coming back
Today we took our friends for an authentic Korean food experience @ The Crazy Korean, Kloof ❤️ Our most favorite dish of the experience was the Bul-go-gi, which is a marinated beef. This dish was cooked right at our table by the amazing KwangJeon Lee. The dish consists of a marinated beef which is cooked in a special broth that takes 7 hours to make. This is stir fried along with fresh vegetables and cooked glass noodles.
I love that Korean food is cooked with the freshest of ingredients and vegetables. It is a true taste sensation ❤️
If you have not visited yet, then you still have time for Woo Hoo Wednesdays and Family Fridays, where you can purchase Share meals at a special price.
