Service was abit on the poor side, as there were long wait periods in-between of ordering. The food was delicious, big portions, value for money, great for sharing

It was our first time. Nice atmosphere (window seating so it was "bright and airy"). Service was good. Friendly staff. Food was served hot and it was tasty. We intend visiting again so hopefully the 5 star rating will follow. Just one dissapointment - we ordered a lot and decided to take the leftovers home. At home we discovered that a portion of food was missing. It could have been a break in communication, but it was disappointing nonetheless...

We had my son's 21st birthday surprise recently at the venue. My family thoroughly enjoyed themselves, they were totally relaxed, atmosphere was superb, our waiter was too kind & caring with top notch service. The food was prepared with delicious flavours and freshly presented to us...Once again thank you to Karim & team for a wonderful welcome and exceptional service. Will definitely be back again 💫

IMPORTANT!, Please read my review before going to billals, coming from a family that owned a restaurant, having chefs in my family and a chef as one of my best friend my words should carry weight, as far as their tikka, chicken, paratha (aloo paratha and aloo and cheese paratha) and naans are concerned it's A class excellent, their Seekh Kebaabs is by far the BEST in Durban really really excellent value for money, on the other hand swap out any dish that comes with steak pieces or rather before you order something with steak included, take a quick run down to the car, look for the cleanest tyre and chew on it because trust me the tyre will be softer than the steak you will get, also I have had thousands of curry dishes in my lifetime and iv never tasted a worse curry than the Vindaloo, a dish so bad it shouldn't be on the menu, do not order lamb curries i know old meat when i taste it and when you eat meat and you find the fat lining on it slimy and sticky know that the meat is very old, iv never been served a meat curry dish at any Indian restaurant that included large hard pieces of potato in it instead of extra meat, especially when the curries come so small nowadays in those tiny curry cups, and as for the taste I cant emphasize this enough, i wouldn't even give it to my dogs to eat let alone humans, another point, if for any reason its raining avoid billals or make sure your family has medical aid because someone is bound to slip on the stairs, no effort to install strips of aluminium non slip material or anything else. I can only comment on what I have eaten, I hope I was of some assistance to your eating choices jazakallah

A new, clean and halaal restaurant for Pakistani/Indian style curries and foods. There's sufficient parking on the street and nearby the establishment. The service was good and our waiter was friendly. The food was appetising and well prepared. Needs more indoor and social distance seating though...

The first time family and I decided to try out Billals after receiving so many rave reviews from family and friends. Situated at a lovely spot, we had a level/room to ourselves. Stunning decor and setup. Prices are fair for the portion sizes. Ordered their Aloo Paratha as a starter was a huge serving size and very tasty. Had the chicken tikka masala as a main, it was very flavorful and tasted close to a home prepared chicken curry. I requested mild and they obliged. Hubby had the butter prawns, it was good, with plump ,succulent and decent sized prawns. Our meals unfortunately didnt come with naan or roti or chips so we added on chips and a Rogni naan which was enough for the both of us. The bombay crush was divine! Our waiter was a helpful gentleman. The jumping castle was an absolute delight for my toddler, it certainly made her day. Very thoughtful of the management team to have something fun to keep the kids occupied. P.s The restrooms need slight supervision and I would have loved to have seen a hand dryer or hand serviettes at the wash room as an addition. Overall good dining experience with great Indian food-and I would be supporting this establishment again.

Absolutely fabulous experience. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. It has a large menu to choose from and even a sunday buffet which is tantalizing to the pallet. Cant wait to go back

1st experience trying out this branch as we frequent the north beach branch so was skeptical. Food was amazing tho but the packaging was horrible. Ordered bunny's for take out and it was placed on a polystyrene tray n wrapped in foil . This did nothing to prevent the gravy from seeping out making the bunny dry. Please look into getting little boxes like other restaurants. Other than that the staff are friendly and although it was late they were still cheerful and welcoming .

I liked this restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely and the view was great.The food took a while to arrive, but it tasted yum, couldn't say the same for the vegetarian food, no masala and unflavourful. The service was good but our waiter could've been friendlier. I would eat here again, but I would try other places in search of better veg dishes.

The setting is lovely. Clearly lots of thought went into layout colour and design. The food was mediocre but despite that I would have still recommended it as a lovely place to dine. The staff were yelling at each other having a loud conversation that was very disruptive. I politely asked my waitress to ask the gentleman in uniform to take it down a notch only to have them turn up the volume. It’s sad how little things can spoil a really good effort.
