A quiet relaxing venue in a safe and pleasant environment. Ample parking with security guards present. Ideally situated to do a Park Walk or Run. The food was good. Wide range to choose from. Definitely a return spot for me.

We had a good meal there. They mixed up one kids meal and we waited ages to get the missing sides, I think they were quite busy, but still, it wasn't ideal. The playground is great and very safe. The food was delicious. The kids steak meal is quite small, so my daughter was still a bit hungry afterwards, but the kids burger and pizza were great. My oxtail was delicious.... a very generous serving. Will definitely go again.

The setting is fantastic with most tables looking over the Lonehill park and dam. Wholesome food but not always consistent. The service can be incredibly slow but the restaurant is growing and has added a fabulous virtual golf area and sports bar. The Country Meat butchery is upstairs and provides all meat - I won’t shop for meat at many other butcheries - it’s that good. Room for improvement but definitely still worth a visit.

The play area was fantastic 👏 there is a lady looking after them. Food was good 👍 I just wished that the heating was switched on as it got cold 🥶 it took the staff sometime for for thy did . The tables was very sticky . But the view was beautiful 😍 we will be back but next time we will sit inside as its warm with the fire place .

Lovely setting with great views; dog and kid friendly. Great braai food and drinks options. Tasty Local to the area; plus great butchery attached to take home and make yourself and see if you can match it!

It's a nice braai set up with a variety of options. The portions of the food are great and the drinks menu is very reasonable. The atmosphere is very incredible. We hosted our bookclub and the ladies love the place and we heading back there . Will add more pictures of the food on the next visit. 😋

Fantastic spot with view of the Lonehill Nature Reserve, dam and park. Large well thought out outside seating area, with separate kids playground under the trees. Dog friendly and access from the main park makes this extremely convenient. Service great and staff really friendly and professional. Enjoyed the breakfast pita I had. Would be good if there were a few more options for non-meat eaters in the mains section of the menu but then again this is attached to a butchery so can't really complain. Frühshoppin only available from 10.

Beautiful, tranquil location. Happy it's pet friendly. My dog Lyla had so much fun. Even found herself a boyfriend 😂. The food is amazing, the service so amazing. The waiters were so patient with us as we struggled to pick a meal cause every option seemed so good. I needed to refresh and just relax and this was the spot. I had a margarita for the first time there and all I can say is Margaritas have become one of my favorite cocktails. Thank you. I needed this place.

Had lunch at Nickys. Enjoyed minestrone soup as a starter. Pasta Arabiatta for main meal and wine spritzer. Hot chocolate and biscotti to end off with was a lovely alternative to coffee this time. Will definitely be back again.

Oh my we had so much. The meat is fresh. Burgers are amazing. Park walk was great. Service from the manager was top. My kids love this place

We were not allowed to book a table for 6 for a Sunday at 14h00, and were told to take a chance and just come on the Sunday. A bit of a strange approach. Bees were everywhere from the minute we received our drinks and stayed for the whole duration. Perhaps the restaurant should invest in those little battery operared windmill thingy ma bobs to keep them at bay. The water of the lake had a red algae like surface covering, which ponged a bit, and there was some plastic bottles and bags in the water. Suggest the restaurant arranges a little boat to keep their side of the lake cleaned up, as most of their customers are sitting waterside. (Boats are lying by the Lonehill koppie entrance) Service was good, but we never received the table salad we had ordered, but didn't miss it that much, as we all received generous meal portions. Two of the guests ordered meat on a skewer, and it came on top of a type of an intimidating plate sized pitta bread with 3 sauce containers. Eish, messy and unsophisticated. Also why chips AND pita bread? Both guests struggled to come to terms with this presentation and struggled with an approach on how to eat it. Suggest to relook the whole presentation of this dish, and reduce the size of the ungainly pita bread by at least half. Suggest to check out how Greek restaurant Nikos serves pita bread. The Lamb Shank with parmesan mash was excellent. The beef fillet steak was excellent. Two Wagyu beef burgers did not exite, seems this burger needs a lot more elevation to be able to wow guests.

Service and atmosphere is amazing. Food quality and preparation skills have dropped dramatically since the place opened. Go there for drinks, vibe, and meat. That's fantastic, don't bother with the rest.

Atmosphere was great and waitress was also friendly and quite helpful. Where I feel they were lacking is the food. No spinach was available and no biltong (there’s literally a butchery above them - one I believe they own) available to build your own pizza. T-Bone medium was more like well done and Sirloin was tough. I really like the place but this has been the second time they disappoint resulting in me thinking twice before taking a group of friends out.

Ok meal. The steak wasn't well seasoned. Expected a bit more from the meat in terms of flavour for country meats. Didn't quite get the cooking right. Ordered medium. Arrived more well done. Service was decent. On the plus side the pork nuggets were tasty.

To call this establishment magnificent would be inadequate. The location is easy to find. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun and full of entertainment. It's a fantastic departure from the dreary ways of traditional franchise outlets because they have a vast and beautiful space that includes a jungle gym, lovers walk, beautiful pond, token-based mechanical games for kids and a shaded sitting area on the outside. It'll impress your guests.

I love the layout of the restaurant. Play area fantastic! The lady in the play area was exceptional, really made an effort to play with all the kids that came into the play area. We were a table of 6 (who pre booked). We had a variety of starters to share which were average nothing exceptional but nothing bad either. Mains: I had ordered the pork belly which was delicious! I'd recommend that. One of us ordered the braaied prawns which was also delicious. Nice and smoked I'd recommend those too. One ordered ribs which was unfortunately bland, one ordered fillet which was a lot like rump unfortunately. We also ordered a prego which was delicious but spicy. Kids chicken strips were nice too. They unfortunately loose 2 stars from me. 1) The family restrooms need someone to be cleaning them when they so busy. A little boy was in there before me and made a mess. 2) The waitress needs serious training. I felt like the waitress was pushy on our drinks orders. We weren't even halfway done with a glass and she would be there asking if she could bring refills. After we'd say we still fine for now before the glass was done she was back again to ask about refills. . I had to ask her 3 times for a jug of water. To which she kept telling me her long glasses are the same size. I then explained all 3 times I don't want to be sharing a long glass. I also asked 3 times for take away boxes. She also mentioned how she's battling financially; I felt really bad for her but it's really not something I want to be hearing while I'm out on a special occasion trying to celebrate with family.

EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!! The food, The service, The people, the playground, the drinks and the view are all stunning. not only is the actual indoor and outdoor sections a rustic design masterpiece but So is the food variety. We threw a Party there and The Bartender, Mike, Made us personalized Drinks that were Delicious and looked like a godamn painting. Service was so friendly and always very helpful, big shoutout to Tammy who always lended a hand no matter big or small of a problem, you made our night perfect. You'll never regret a visit at the Braai room❤️❤️

Enjoyed a 40th here (not mine). The food was pretty good, fun vibe and nice to have some grown up time whilst the kids played - A large play area and secure area overall made that possible. Access to Lonehill park was a plus.

I would like to say the food was amazing but that would be a lie. It fell a little short. The oxtail had literal chunks of fat, the pork belly was average, the started composition had potential but the taste failed it. Food shouldn't look that good but taste that average. And the drinks tasted a little weird (for myself and a colleague). She had a g&t and I had an aperol spritz. The mai tai was way better

So firstly what a lovely venue. Open air, next to a dam with a great kiddies play area. I ordered a chocolate brownie and it was one of the best ever. Just keep in mind that the prices are quite high.
