The food was exceptional and so was our waitress Nomzamo. Awesome location tucked away in the heart of Rosebank with and ambience to match!

Incredible. The food is so fresh, and so full of flavour, great portions to have a starter and a main. Their Home Brew Rice beer is deliciously, and uniquely, tasty. There is so much attention to detail to the decor, from the stunning wall paintings, to the china-plate lightcovers and ceiling wallpaper. They really created an authenticly unique environment. Downside though, the service was a bit slow. We had to wait quite a bit for cutlery for our main course and our 2nd round of drinks were warmer than ideal by the time they got to our table, having been ready at the counter several minutes before being collected. They appear to be a bit understaffed. The music was too loud. It took away from the experience. The place is small and crowded already, the very loud music makes it nearly impossible to have a conversation without shouting and missing a couple of words with one's fellow diners. The music choice itself, although not in line with the restaurant theme, was still pleasant enough. Our table was in the first isle, close to the windows, and wafts of unpleasant smoke, not just regular, but what smelt alot like weed-smoke, would come in every so often. This is a very difficult thing for a restaurant to deal with, and they can't really be blamed for this, as the massive windows really help prevent that the small space gets too stuffy, one can only do _so_ much when it comes to expecting and asking for considerate smoking etiquette from smokers. By far though, the food and beer really made the visit worthwhile and worth the recommendation. Would like to try the Fourways branch next and see how it compares.

Amazing mimosas, however the waiters are very negligent and provide limited inform regarding the procedure of the restaurant. You have to ask for everything. You’re only limited to 5 mimosas when it comes to the bottomless mimosa Sundays, which was not communicated. Waiters ignore your requests and act as instructed by management I would assume.

Loved the entire experience!! I would reccomend the cocktail tree as a fun exciting treat before making your way upstairs for karaoke. Saigon makes some of the best Asian cuisine!

Bontle was our waitress, she was incredible! The food she recommended was mouthwatering, we had the fire cracker cauliflower which was a 10/10! We also had the pot stickers and money bags which were also amazing! Definitely recommend

We decided to try something different after shopping in Rosebank and since its December it's still rather quiet around Jozi so we didn't need a booking. Situated next to Bolton Road, it's among some pretty funky eateries. I love the decor in the place, simple yet funky and edgy. Staff are all friendly and welcoming and our waitress Alicia just had a smile on her face and was such a delight. We ordered the Katsu Chicken Curry, the Imperial Caramalised Pork Belly Broken Rice Bowl, the Pork Belly Ramen Bowl and the KFC Bao starter. We didnt order any cocktails this time round but they did look interesting, and wasn't too keen on the dessert options. The Katsu Curry was unique and different. The chicken was really tender. The Pork in the Rice Bowl was really tasty and yummy. The KFC bao was my favourite small but full of flavour. I was rather disappointed with the Ramen Bowl. Although the Pork was juicy and tender, the entire bowl lacked flavoured to pull it together. Only after I added some Sriracha and Soy Sauce did I enjoy it more, as it needed a bit of salt or something as it was just too bland with all the ingredients. I absolutely loved Saigon Suzy. The food, service and the drinks were absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend the Prawn and Chicken Siu Mai dumplings. We ordered them again because they were so good. The Bao beef short Rib was also really good especially with the chilli oil. The Chinese Girl was lovely, loved it! And Buhle, our waitress, was such a great waitress. She recommended our food and drinks and she was spot on! Thank you so much. I'll definitely be back again son

Had a Bachelorette event in one of the booths, followed by dinner. Had a smaller booth, it was fun, but it was so hot in the room as the aircon seemed too small to cool down the room. Put a bit of a damper on the evening as we had to open the door. Was a fun experience but they seemed a bit unorganised.

Went here with some friends to grab a drink and had an amazing time then cocktails are well made and the selection of beers was incredible. The food is to die for and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely coming here again.

Fun menu, nice soundtrack and cute decor but food so-so. Every dish hadjusta little something missing or burned. Like my prom Pattie’s and spring rolls were burned in my dish. KFC nap bun was the best dish. Pho was just ok. My broth in the bun cha was way too sweet. The beef stir fry dish was Chinese oily. Not good.

It’s probably one of my favourite spots in Johannesburg right now. The quality of food is fantastic. With many so-called “Asian” restaurant around the city, this place is one of the few places that serves authentic Asian food. I highly recommend it.

Had a great time in one of their Karaoke private rooms and loved the atmosphere on their outside sitting area, warm and cozy. Their beef bao buns were really good but was greatly disappointed by their ramen which we were really looking forward to. It looked good but was actually really bland, tasteless and expensive too.

Came here for our anniversary dinner and had a really great time. The food was excellent, never had vietnamese before and it tasted great. Portions are big so come hungry! The vibe inside the venue is great with awesome old school rock music and funky decor. The service is also really good and you don't ever have to call a waiter when your drink is empty. The only downside to this branch is the parking which seems a bit dodgy. We came early and got lucky, but later at night you might find yourself having to walk a bit.

Nice food, a bit greasy but in a nice way. Good drinks too, but generally have to ask them not to make your cocktail too sweet. Good seating, can park in the street outside the restaurant. I like the vibe. They played 80s and 90s hits softly on the radio, which I appreciated because I don't like when a restaurant blasts terrible EDM or something. This was rather a nice ambience to our meal, not overpowering. Would return repeatedly for a good time and a good meal.

I ordered the firecracker cauliflower - 3 out of 5 stars. Try dipping it in a batter, deep frying it and then roast. My main was green curry, if that’s what you can really call it- 2 out of 5 stars. Runny sauce, no thick creaminess, complete absence of chili and bland to a fault. I’ll never go back again.

Liked the atmosphere of the place, it's a mix of different asian accents and also reflected on the varied menu. As you can expect on a menu with so many influences, the food is hit-or-miss. It does everything, but nothing really well. I didn't expect it to be so bad until I saw the pho. Sometimes it's better you just remove certain dishes you really can't do.

Not only was the food authentic, delicious and beautifully presented - the interior blows me away! There is so much attention to detail everywhere you look. Have had many fun nights in the Karaoke rooms which are so groovy and well managed. All in all - huge fan of Suzy and will become a regular face there.

Their food has normally been terrific and the whole experience is a lot of fun and can be enjoyed in large and small groups However, their karaoke equipment kept tripping the last I was there and the food was substandard. Saigon Suzy was a different experience for me. Vietnamese cuisine. They have a good variety and the service was on point today. My first time eating egg fried rice and I wasn't blown away. They also have private karaoke rooms (R800 for a small room for an hour and R1000 for a 'large' room). Was in the large room today and it was cozy for the 10 people there. The karaoke also had a full bar service. Overall, great vibe & location, good food and the karaoke was a nice touch.

Crowded place on Saturday, difficult to get a table. Good atmosphere, beautiful decoration, good concept. The cuisine could be improved but given the comments I expected much worse: the pork belly bao and the duck pancakes are good (but they took some liberties with the sauce).
