Delicious food and amazing service. We had the Nacho stack, Trio of Sliders, and BBQ Sticky rib burger, and obviously ended it off with a slice of delicious Oreo cake ;-). Highly recommend a visit here, whether you're vegan, curious about vegan food, or just a food lover in general.

Kaylee’s is located in a great spot inside the Comic Book Warehouse. It makes for a fun day of browsing and lunching. The new market selling a bunch of imported and local goodies is also a nice touch. We opted for a Peanut Butter and Jam smoothie and a butterscotch milkshake to start, and both were divine. For mains my boyfriend got the trio of sliders, and they were really tasty. I enjoyed the faux rib one especially. I ordered the breakfast burrito and was somewhat disappointed. The whole thing lacked flavour (and if you’re making tofu, you need to add extra flavour), and I wasn’t a fan of the soy mince (at least I think that’s what it was). I ended up struggling to finish and filling myself up on my boyfriend’s chips (which were so damn good). So overall I did enjoy the outing but next time I would definitely try a different meal.

I visited Kaylee's Eatery during my fasting month, never had vegan food before so did not know what to expect, was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was! Would highly recommend :)

Vegan food has such a bad reputation, but Kaylee's Eatery has made a true meat lover reconsider what it means to be vegan! Try the Chicken Burger. Portion size and taste is worth every Rand and Cent. Beautiful decor and amazing food.

Great vegan breakfast all-day and lunch spot! The lox on ciabatta bread was excellent and the falafel bowl was delicious and filled with veggie. The location is honestly pretty weird- it seems ill-fitting for this cool veg spot to be tucked away in a giant comic store. The service was great nonetheless!

Always a treat going to Kaylees esp if you're a vegan. Worth a visit! The new coffee machine at Kaylees is quite the looker! We had a really good waiter that served us yday... I cannot remember his name.. but he's 20 years old, his contract is ending in a months time and he had such a good vibe! He gave such great service and was very outspoken! I do appreciate a well trained waiter that's able to converse with a customer and 'make a plan' if needed and not just give a straight No to requests. He didn't have to make a plan for us as we just had milkshake and cupcakes... but his overall attitude was 💯 (he however did ask if he could split the milkshake that my daughter and I planned to share and served it to us both beautifully)

It was a mind blowing experience for me as a meat eater. The double bacon and cheese burger is undoubtedly the best bacon and cheese burger I have ever had...and the entire thing was vegan. Their food and service is fantastic. Their fresh fruit & veg mixed juices are amazing. End to end, this place rocks!!!

Vegan heaven in the east rand. It's really cute and it's based on the is comic store so the store is open, spacious wheelchair friendly and cute. The staff are friendly and they know the menu quite well. The menu has gluten free options and is well rounded and suitable for kids. The food is fresh, flavorful and worth the pricing for the quantity. They could make use of better table salt however, that particular brand wasn't really salty. I enjoyed the smoothie, it was thick and fresh and prepared with almond milk. I would recommend it even if you're not vegan or vegetarian. The food is great. I must say that there was a hair found in our food but they gave us the meal.

As a meat eater, I was pleasantly surprised at my first venture to a vegan restaurant. The food was delicious and I would happily return. The burger was great and tasted like a proper beef burger and the tacos were flavorful and delicious. The decor in the restaurant is very modern, clean and well conceived and all of the staff were extremely friendly. Unfortunately, the prices are a little high for regular outings, but this is understandable considering the expensive nature of vegan products in South Africa. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a healthy and environmentally friendly and delicious meal out.

My Abby(my fur Baby) and I love to go to Kaylees. We are always welcomed by the friendly staff.. Abby always makes a big entry barking her 'Hello' to all.. Gabriella is always so sweet and her service very prompt.. Lawrence is a wonderful manager and very understanding of our 'Fur Kids'.. Chef Brenden is also a real lovely and friendly gentleman... Wow, love this place! I am vegetarian, but miss the taste of meat, so I had the Beyond Meat burger, which I absolutely loved as it has a mouth-watering barbecue basting and is a juicy vegan burger with the most meaty taste and texture that I have ever eaten! My son, who is not vegetarian, had the wholewheat pancakes with maple syrup and said they were the best pancakes he had ever eaten in his life! He also thoroughly enjoyed the banana snickers smoothie. The fantastic decor inside the comic warehouse also adds to the ambience. We will definitely be back!

We travel from Vereeniging to eat at Kaylees and also stock up on some wonderful products in the market. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is friendly and efficient. The number one vegan joint in all of Joburg if not all of South Africa! It's the only place that tastes amazing in my mind. I did a review on vegan places in JHB and honestly had a hard time stomaching anything from the other places! What a relief at the end of my list was this amazing restaurant! I go straight for the "bacon cheese burger" and it doesn't disappoint take it from someone who lives on and loves meat this is as close as you'll ever get without it actually being bacon, cheese and beef! And that's before you take in the surroundings which are jaw dropping! Will be back plenty!

I've been hearing about your chocolate cake from multiple sources for ages. Finally, we got to try it for ourselves. I honestly can't believe it's vegan. Best chocolate cake I've had in Joburg ever. The smoothie arrived warm which was a big fail for me.

Love the idea and had been looking forward to going for a few months. Extremely over priced for the quality of food. Not a very good mix with the other stores in the warehouse. Think they got a bit excited about the idea and didn't focus on the target market. Also need to educate public out vegan lifestyle more (menu is incorrect- advertises vegan salmon in cover but no option inside). Saw slot of people leaving as they weren't impressed that they couldn't get coffee with normal milk. Should at least offer an alternative for non vegans, considering u hav gamers coming for lunch. Probably wouldn't recommend or go back which is disappointing considering I'm a vegetarian

Gosh , for such wonderful food and service to be let down by the absolute worst music of any generation, 1920's trumpets non stop in the background, hardly the kind of music that makes you enjoy your meal further. Maybe it's just me, but it's a HARD NO to have to eat in that ambience.
