This is officially my favorite John Dorys. I write this review following a great tempura schnitzel supreme meal. Now coming from a person that never normally orders chicken at places other than Nandos or Gallitos I can honestly say that this trounced both. Amazing staff and even better meals. I will definitely be back.

I am really not a sea food person. I am allergic to shellfish, but I can have a hake. I felt like the food was not well done. I ordered fried rice on the side, and I wasn't happy with it. I'm not sure if it is undercooked or old rice. But the service was good.

The atmosphere was just chill and cool . The waiters come to check up on you frequently to make sure everything is alright . The staff is friendly . Overall it's a nice place to have dine at .

We have been to John Dory's for a few times now and every time the food and service was excellent! A huge thank you to our waiter, Andile, for always serving as with a smile and great service! John Dory's Menlyn will definitely be seeing us again.

The food is delicious, warm and on a non-busy day it arrives as expected (10-15 minutes max). I will always enjoy John Dory's sushi especially on a half price sushi Wednesdays. The waiters are very friendly and helpful although the environment isn't the quietest place to enjoy a meal, it is still very nice restuarant that I'll always recommend for a nice get together.

Wow to John Dory's for picking up and dealing with my previous issue, you guys are amazing for the way you handled in detail the situation we experienced, thank you once again, and I do retract my words and will be visiting you soon!! We did not have great service at all, walked in and within 10min we left, our waiter was so occupied with other people and receiving more tables that he did not introduce himself or even properly share the Sushi specials with us, just half heartedly waved his hands and mumbled over the menu, I doubt I'll ever visit this restaurant again.

Has nice sushi, still a bit on the pricey side and seating is not very great. It's average. Not a lot of light in the place and right by the walkway in the mall.
