This is truly a family favourite, we just love GiraRio... The food is spectacular, very delicious, the atmosphere is amazing with beautiful music in the background, the service is wonderful, everyone is so helpful and friendly... Thank you GiraRio for excellent service and food

Lovely little Portuguese restaurant, if you are tired of the boring franchise options, come spice it up a bit at GiraRio. Met the owner, lovely helpful lady. This place has a very old fashioned café feel to it, with lovely background music and a DSTV for the sport enthusiast.

The service is mostly friendly. (Yes, I had unpleasant experience before) but they kinda earned me back with the good food and the owner was really nice, glad I had a chance to speak to him, I would regret it and gave bad reviews if it wasn't for him. Oh and the steamed hake was actually my favorite now, it was one of the dishes the owner recommended.

What a pleasure! Friendly service and even better food! We live in Saldanha bay and the fish here was as fresh and as good, only cheaper. And the "more than enough" quarter chicken was true to Portuguese tradition.

We stopped there at 8:55PM . . .5 minutes before closing time on a Friday night . . they took our take-away order with a smile,without mentioning they close at 9PM . .very friendly owners, we waited in the parking lot for our food, the owner even brought our food to us in the pouring rain in the dark when it was ready ! . . .The last time i had a Chicken burger this GOOD was in 1993 at Jamaican Chicken Burger in Rocky street JHB . . . we used to buy Chicken Burgers from Mochachos in Sasol/Vdbp, but they are no match for GiraRio....crispy and hot chips(even after driving 15min home) with plenty spice, the Chicken Pita was awesome (tasted just like BM's Pita way back in 1995)....i just found my new take away shop !..even the chicken wings are whole wings,not winglets...bye bye Nandos,Mochachos etc...Gira Rio is tops!...best priced take-aways..fluffy Porra buns!! ..i found my Canimambo's in VDBP!!
