Extremely hard for communication. Was very frustrating working with them. Many of their responses via email came across short. Felt as if I could have managed this process on my own. In person meetings were feelings more of a “sit and listen to my accolades” instead of a plan of action how to help. We were helped with an appeal submission from them which was successful, so am grateful for that. Many hours were spent on the phone myself to DHA inquiring about my case. When calling to follow up with the firm, the information they had never seemed to match up with DHA. Received an email my outcome Would be ready within a certain amount of business days. After calling to check up after said business days, it’s almost as if they forgot to contact me to let me know my application was ready for collection. Collected my receipt from their offices to collect my outcome myself. Never heard from them again, not even a follow up or closing message.

If you have been struggling to get a visa of any kind from the Department of Home Affairs in South Africa, then De Saude Attorneys is the company to go to and we highly recommend them! We have been struggling for almost 13 years now to get a Permanent Residence for my spouse and her daughter, been from one charlatan to the next, spent thousands in fees, and had many sleepless nights due to the stress associated with it, especially after the draconian amendments that came into affect around mid 2014 (or 2015 - can't remember)! It is a nightmare that is now finally over! I don't want to hear or see anything relating to immigration and the Department of Home Affairs ever again. De Saude attorneys are very professional, organised, and well worth their fees, which are more than reasonable given everything they do for you. If we had known about them from the beginning, we would have been done and dusted years ago and wouldn't have thrown thousands down the drain! I found myself in a bit of a predicament where I needed to apply for retention of my South African citizenship whilst already a citizen of the U.K. seeking a third citizenship in Ireland. Home Affairs would not accept my application without very specific documents from the U.K. authorities and after months of international calls, searching online, emails and back-and-forth, I was unable to acquire the necessary documents from the U.K. De Saude was recommended to me by a friend who works at a different firm and Stefanie was quick to schedule a phone call to better understand my situation and explain what they would be able to do to assist with the matter. I worked primarily with Rafaeel Kelly throughout this process and he has been excellent to work with. Professional and attentive to the job that needed to be done, he would call me as soon as he had more information about my case - a quality I very much appreciated throughout this process to keep stress to a minimum. Several weeks after signing up with De Saude, Rafaeel was able to locate who to talk to in the U.K., acquire necessary documents, check my retention application and joined me in sitting down at Home Affairs to deliver the application. A few days later the application was approved without a hitch, and I am now on my way to acquiring my Irish citizenship. I wish I had just contacted them from the beginning - it would have saved me a lot of headache and time.
