Always love coming here. Wide variety, great deals and you always leave with so much more that you had intended to. Just heard that these chalk boards are hand drawn by a staff member. Amazing work! I thought these were printed posters.

Well stocked. Great deli, butchery adn fish sections. Staff are helpful and friendly. Loads of tills (if not all) always open during busy periods so you go down the line quick and painlessly.

After the revamp I think Food Lovers Market has stepped up to a shop to be reckoned with. The fruit and vegetables are very good and the grocery store is well stocked. The meat market looks like it has also been given a look over and it caters for most people, even for the more picky eaters.

Spacious and well arranged shop. It hard to miss what you want. There's plenty moving space and great labels. Fruits and veggies smell amazing. The aroma of fresh bakes are not suppressed either. Irregardless of many people, the shop does not even feel congested.

This is 1 of the best and biggest foodlovers stores i've ever shop at. I live in mitchells plain and we go shop at tokai foodlovers. Fresh fresh fresh . Everything is quality from the fruit and veg to the meats and the bakery omw you cant walk pass the bakery without buying something.

Lovely store everything under 1 roof just a line of note from the entrance was something to behold and felt sorry for the elderly folks so they need at least a free pass for those that can't stand that long. Friendly staff and nice and clean 👌 good prices and specials

Hi there please consider putting in a cafe in the Tokai branch. It's a lovely big store but it would be nice to be able to sit down and have some coffee etc. There used to be one many years ago, not sure why it closed down. The Longbeach mall one has a cafe and it's extremely popular. Thanks!

Amazing staff who are friendly and helpful. Very courteous staff member at the door that even go as far to sanitize the trolley for customers. In store specials are announced which is helpful if you've missed it or forgot something. Wonderful array of baked goods on display and a big variety of fresh produce to choose from. Very affordable from fruit and veg to meat and baked goods. Definitely worth the shopping experience. Update 06/10/2022 - For the first time there was something I wanted and couldn't find 😳 Baby Marrow but oh well nothing major. Some very affordable products with decent meat specials. Staff are always friendly and helpful

Always fresh fruit and veg that last longer than from elsewhere. And very generous specials (e.g. coconut oil @ R100 for 2 x 1litre). Big, beautiful brown mushrooms at R40 for 2 x 250g punnets. Many more. Always cheaper and better than supermarkets. Their meats are excellent.

Winter specials was so great and so well supported that i had to queue from almost at the entrance to get to checkout. It seemed like a nightmare at the time BUT it was not all that bad as the many tellers made quickish work of it......... Not without some foreigners getting annoyed with some smart locals that had partners available to stand in queues while the better/fairer or better sourced partner shopped........ 🤐

My favourite store to shop. Always most of everything available.friendly staff and just a beautiful atmosphere to shop there.

A great store but HUGE and layout is set that if you miss stuff you have a long backtrack to other side of store. The adjacent liquor store is fabulous and the manager hugely knowledgeable about his wine and extremely helpful in suggesting wines etc.

Bargains galore! Great to shop here..you are bound to leave the shop with a trolley full of goodies at excellent prices. Real value and quality for your money. The bakery has delicious goodies on display and it tastes great. The store has been revamped which is nice and spacious..I only buy my fresh fish here.

The prices here can't be beat but the quality isn't always up to scratch. I feel like I say this a lot but their selection is large. The hot food section is great and I often pick up a ready made lunch when I shop here. Worth a visit but check meat properly before you buy it. I have had some bad experiences with the meat. The fruit and veg is decent. They often have sales. The sale announcer can get extremely annoying when your in the shop but it's part of the package I guess.

Lovely place to shop at. Have everything you need for everyday and some great specials. The line in the afternoon.. that can make people turn around. When you just have 2 items and the line is passing the bread section haha. At least lines goes quick. Its just a bit scary to see the line. Good service as well when handling food.

Parking is always good and the store is well organized. The sourdough bread is an attraction as is their giant cupcakes. Just try to avoid during the week from around 5pm as traffic in and out of that area can be a pain but otherwise it's a great store

The shop is always busy, the variety is great and the specials are awesome. They sell fruit, veg, cheese, meat, chicken, fish, groceries and more.... The bakery section is well stocked with delicious cakes and breads. Many till points for speedy checkout.

The biggest and freshest Food lovers branch in the CPT. Take my word for that. The branch is huge but its very neat, everything is orderly and all their products are fresh! Really appreciate the work of this branch.

Very nice shop to buy everything you need to cook something amazing. Their bakery is especially good. They have an excellent selection of gluten-free, sugar-free and banting products, and there are always very good specials on. It's easily the nicest shop to go to in the area for food. It does however get extremely busy with long queues but they don't move too slowly. If u don't mind the crowds, definitely worth the visit.

This FLM is soooo nice! It's very large and as such there is a lot of produce, ready made meals, a bakery, and a sushi section as well. They have a great variety of fruits and vegetables. The produce is always fresh, and the place is kept neat and tidy. They have trolleys and baskets right outside the door. There are a lot of tills, so the que is never really slow. There is also a big parking lot here so enough space to park even on a busy day. It is also wheelchair accessible.

Good choice and varieties but the people at the butchers were not helpful. They didn’t make an effort to try to understand what part of the pork I wanted. Next time I’ll bring a photo with. Other than that, everything else is good.

Produce not as fresh as what it used to be - this has been an ongoing experience now for the past 2 years or so. They often have specials on their fish - one can live with the deep-frozen experience. Other than that - they have good selection - good for a secondary stop but always compare prices with your regular mall shop.

The upgrades are beautiful, the place is clean. Decent quality but the prices have been hiked up considerably. Im a creature of habit and I tend to buy the same products at specific stores which is why I noted those increases immediately.

Great price specials and a wide variety, but would suggest you check your produce, especially fruit, as while it may look fine in general, esp on the outside, the inside is a whole other story. It's never good when a fruit you're not allergic to gives you a 12-hour allergic reaction because it's gone off. And you also might want to have a look at your biltong dates, as a day after purchasing it went all gross, white and sour. Let's maybe not poison people with biltong and kiwis...

Buffet style , or take away meals. Bakery, Fish , Sushi, Wine, Flower Stand, Variety cakes, tarts , samosas, pies, pizzas, grocery as well. Wednesday's are special deals day. Ample free parking, disabled parking near the entrance and exit of the store. Toilets clean and fresh smelling. Security Guards are visible . NB Designated area for children near the restaurant.

Produce is a bit better than what the supermarkets call fresh but the pricing is always screwed up. My advice to shoppers.. CHECK YOUR TILL SLIP BEFORE YOU LEAVE! Chances are the price per kg is incorrect or the special is not a special once you get to the till.
