The diamond has to be the most sparkly diamond ever, I'm not sure if they used some kind of magic on it to make it shine like it does. Qaanita from Cape Diamonds was amazing. I brought an old family heirloom ring to be reset as an engagement ring. The end product was fantastic. Two weeks before our wedding, the ring was stolen. We went back to Qaanita to get a new ring made. The second one was a completely new design and Qaanitah promised to have it done before the wedding. She delivered! Highly recommended.

On the 10th April, Heyn and I packed up our bakkie with a rooftop tent and made the long trek up through Namibia, across into Botswana's Okavango Delta and then up to Zimbabwe's Victoria Falls. It was one of the most spectacular trips of my life. Fresh air, phones off, long dirt road, beautiful wildlife and dinner on a fire every night. Simplicity is bliss! On the 17th of April - halfway through our trip whilst visiting Zim, we woke up and made our way to the great Vic Falls to go view the enormous amount of plundering water bellowing down the falls. It is absolutely amazing to view. Whist walking ahead of Heyn to one of the view points called Rainbow Falls, I turned to see where he was and kneeling down on one knee in the mist and rain he asked me to marry him!! I was in complete shock and absolutely delighted. He presented the most beautiful classic engagement ring. It was truly the most special day of my life and in the most incredible setting I could have ever wished for. Petro and Joel, thank you so much for making this come to life and for assisting with making my dream ring. Every time I look at it my heart skips a beat. You guys really do a phenomenal job from customer service through to quality. Even the quick response time you took to making it fit properly after we returned was fantastic!! I highly recommend Cape Diamonds. One month before this all went down Heyn gave me a pair of diamonds studs for my birthday to match my ring which were also made by Cape Diamonds. As an over anxious person I diligently research in terms of engagement rings. After visiting the local stores I quickly discovered that they are grossly overpriced and that you do not nearly get your money's worth. After a while I came across Cape Diamonds site. I quickly started reading the reviews and it became very clear that they were rendering a very professional service. A name kept popping up, Linda. I visited the shop and was placed at ease as they were a legit. I was greeted by Linda and the reviews made sense. She gave me excellent service, grasping what I wanted before I even knew what I wanted. She made a rough sketch and the next day I was send an invoice. Just over a week later my ring was done. Picking it up Linda was courteous and kept apologizing for the ring still being polished, even though I was the one that was early. But no stress on my side I was kept busy with an delicious coffee while completing the documentation for the ring. That said, I will surely recommend Cape Diamond to any one looking for a Ring or a Diamond. The service, rings, workmanship and diamonds are of great quality. On a personal note, Linda thank you for the service provided and apologies for the emails I send every day... you do keep the companies name high.

Having compared many other companies and specifically those specialising in diamond rings, Cape Diamonds was the clear choice. They were very competitive, where they have so many beautiful design choices. I am getting a new setting for my current engagement ring diamond. I am not in SA and have been working with Cape Diamonds via email. I am finding the process to be slow as the responses to my emails are taking about 5 days. I was hoping that the process would be quicker than it is. Hopefully it will be worth the wait. UPDATE I am working with Linda and the customer service has been amazing. Once we were able to move from email and handle all the communication through Whatsapp it has been responsive and great. Linda has worked with me to do a custom design combining the Watsonia flower design with a trilogy/3 stone ring using pear side diamonds. The CAD drawing and the animation of the design that Linda sent me is exactly what I am looking for. It definitely has been well worth the wait. UPDATE I received my custom ring and it is absolutely perfect. I couldnt be happier. The service was amazing and the ring is exactly what I wanted. Proposing is i big deal for men, mostly because we want to make it special and romantic - something we aren’t specialized in. This process normally starts with getting the perfect ring - what is the perfect ring 😬? I shopped around and sent a few emails as this is an BIG purchase. After receiving about 5 emails from different companies, i decided to go with Linda (Cape Diamonds). She was definitely the reason for me making the choice i did. I had more or less an idea of what my girlfriend would like, luckily. Sent linda all the information, actually just pictures. Then the questions started; size, diamond size, material for the ring, design etc etc. Linda was very patient and extremely helpful in designing and making the ring. She pointed me in the right direction without leaving me feeling i was ‘forced’ to do something i wasn’t 100% happy with. Went to fetch the ring, walk through the heaviest door EVER 😁, and met up with a lady whom assisted me - unfortunately Linda was not there. Got the ring, and it exceeded my expectations - exactly what i asked for. I would highly recommend anyone that is need of assistance or merely great service - to use Cape Diamond and of course ask for Linda’s assistance. I asked, she said yes.
