Reviews of The Villa Rosa
Was a absolutely wonderful time at villa rosa. We will definitely stay again. Warm in winter and very central to restaurants and shops a must stay in summer and winter. Can't wait for our next stay.
Grand , classy accommodation in a safe neighbourhood . Chelsea was kind and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was sumptuous . An older building does come with hiccups though as all our fuses blew in the early hours when we tried to boil the kettle. It was remedied at 7 am though. I do recommend room 7 as it’s huge with beautiful decor!
What a lovely place - conveniently situated, well-priced, and gorgeous: the garden, breakfast room, bedrooms - even the staircase. The property is stunning yet there’s so much more to enjoy here. The hospitality and food is impressive. Steven is fantastic! He gave me a warm welcome, and explained the history of the house - and I do appreciate details like this.
David prepared the most delicious breakfast - basil & mushroom cream, potato rosti and scrambled eggs. 🤤 The only negative was my stay being far too short. I’ll definitely be coming around a lot more!
Stayed here on a short break with my elderly parents and we were pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem in the city. The house has that Victorian charm, breakfast is great, rooms are spacious and comfortable and staff is very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
Everything was perfect!! The room was beautiful and clearly and there was lots of attention to detail! The breakfast was incredible and delicious and there was something of everything! The staff are warm and welcoming and really make a great effort to make guests happy :) The location is nice and central for lots of attractions in and around Cape Town. Would definitely stay there again!!
What a lovely place to stay!! We only stayed one night but would have loved to have spend our entite holiday there. Beautiful, immaculate and extremely comfortable rooms, quiet but so central to most Cape Town attractions. Security looks after your car at night so you can relax. A lovely and interesting breakfast served by a very friendly host, a beautiful experience all around. Thanks to the Villa Rosa team!!
The location and rooms were wonderful. They even let us extend our stay last minute and gave me an even nicer room. Owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. We hope to see you again soon! thanks again
Pristine and Timeless design, with the warmness and friendliness of the hosts make The Villa Rosa an experience my wife and I won't soon forget. Also, definitely a getaway that we will return to for the relaxing homey atmosphere at the iconic breakfast! Thank you Steven!

Top!
Beautiful!!!
Spacious rooms
This was our last overnight stay of our 30-day tour through South Africa two months ago. In a beautiful location (green point), with a fantastic spacious room. Delicious breakfast. The host (Chelsea) was very friendly, hospitable and helpful (e.g. how to order an Uber). We could park our car at the villa. In short, a great place to visit Cape Town.
This accommodation was very different from what we had originally booked - but we still felt very comfortable. We really liked the style of the villa and the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. You made our stay very pleasant. The location in Seapoint was very convenient for us. The paths to restaurants and the hop on and hop off bus were in the immediate vicinity.
We spent 4 days at Villa Rosa and we were very satisfied. ||The deluxe room opposite the breakfast room on the ground floor was spacious and very tastefully decorated. There was a fridge and the bed was very comfortable. The room is right at the entrance to the house, but that didn't bother us. However, the ceiling between our room and the one above is very creaky. You only find peace when no one is walking through the room upstairs. ||The service was very good and friendly. We also received valuable tips for the day. You could choose between a cold and warm breakfast every day. The cold food was always the same, but the hot food (egg prices) changed daily. Everything was served in style (silver pots, etc.).||From 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the hotel is guarded by a security service that regularly walks through the hotel. The hotel is located 2 blocks from the sea, where there is also a hop on hop off bus stop. We bought a 2-day ticket online, which we can highly recommend. You can explore the area (center, Kirstenbosch, wine region, beaches...) very relaxed and safe! enjoy without having to plunge into traffic chaos or look for a parking space in dubious areas. We parked our mead car at the hotel. There are restaurants and shopping opportunities within walking distance. We really liked the “Sea Grill” restaurant. The price-performance ratio of the lunch menu (until 3 p.m.) is unbeatable. ||Many thanks to the “Villa Rosa” team. We felt very comfortable. ||
The room was not only clean and large, but absolutely lovingly furnished and full of a feel-good atmosphere with Madiba on the wall and flowers in front of the window. And the included breakfast was another highlight with new, delicious creations from the kitchen every day.||The next time I'm in Cape Town, I'll be happy to stay there again. Or no, better said, live.
Nice bed and breakfast in a relatively quiet area of Cape Town, in any case there is an armed guard who remains inside the structure at night. ||||Our room on the ground floor was spacious and very nice, it's a shame that the bathroom was a bit small and had no heating...||||the rooms on the upper floor are certainly quieter. ||||The plus of this structure is certainly the breakfast, in addition to bread, delicious homemade jams, yogurt, hot croissants, every day you can choose between a cold dish with cold cuts and cheeses or a hot dish cooked on the spot by the chef , always delicious.
Villa Rosa is only 250 m from the Sea Point Promenade. The hotel is very lovingly furnished and we immediately felt at home. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious. There are enough free parking spaces nearby.
A great place to stay, with nice rooms and very nice hosts.
The breakfast is freshly prepared every day and very varied. There are enough parking spaces and it is very central. Price/performance is very good
Charming guesthouse...however disappointing on some points: we arrived at night and there was only one security guard to welcome us; the rooms are small, they are really small and are located externally (I didn't like it) and the night security guard refused to serve water... in short: we didn't like it. We traveled as a group of 6 and the impression was the same for everyone.|Good location.
Stylish old villa. Right on a thoroughfare, so noisy. Only deluxe rooms acceptable, the rest are much too small. Bathroom had one floor area
of approx. 3 sqm. No air conditioning!
A lovingly designed house with lots of charm. Our room on the first floor was nice and quiet and beautiful. Only the lighting in the bathroom could be improved, everything else was perfect - including breakfast!
I loved the accommodation!||||When I arrived, there was a staff waiting for me, and they were helpful and quick. The room was very pleasant, very well decorated, and with a partial view of the Signal Moutain, and a view of Lion Head, in addition to being able to see the tip of the Table Moutain cable car.||||The breakfast is very chic, Nice, well made and fresh items. I felt like I was in an English cafe.||||The checkout was equally smooth, and staying in Seapoint you have everything nearby: market, pharmacy, restaurant, and everything else.||||It's really worth it.
Great service, all employees are very accommodating and friendly. Especially David the chef and Chelsea. The breakfast had a very British feel and was egg-heavy, but still very tasty. A little more choice would be good. Still more than recommended.
Extremely friendly service and perfect service, excellent breakfast, not a long walk to the beach, family atmosphere and great helpfulness of the hosts, can be recommended to everyone!
Come here because it's worth it. In full Victorian style, in a quiet neighborhood. Very good and freshly made breakfasts.
Very pretty, lovingly furnished B&B. Location close to the sea, Mojo Market and much more
It is the perfect place, there are few places with so much charm and it is impossible to be better served.
Left something to be desired...
